We had an excellant stay at Hotel Lavoisier, probably the best in the last 4 years. The hotel is very well situated within walking distance of Montmatre, Champs Elysees, Place de la Concorde, Arc De Triumph, Galerie Lafayette and more than enough quality restaurants for any budget. The hotel however, should not be classed as a 4 star. The website has to be applauded for showing all the best features but the views are literally everything with nothing else to reveal. The breakfast was really stingy, especially when taking into account that we were paying extra. If you wanted bacon & eggs, then this was extra on top of the extra! Any coffee requested seemed to be on a rationed basis, with an additional pot only returned half full. We would expect this to be the case if the breakfast was inclusive not additional. There were no tea/ coffee making facilities or mini bar in the room, not good as it's one of those things you only miss when you haven't got it. Despite all of this, we had a very good stay, the hotel is nice, well located, friendly and helpful staff but probably best viewed as a good 3 star. We would recommend it or even use it again in the future.

We had an wonderfull week end and will go back to this hotel on our return to Paris. Welcoming of all the staff was extremely appreciated
