This is not 3 Stars hotel, this is only 2 stars, Bath room was terrible, the furnitures are old and agly. Allways big noise from the streat! I had to pay at moment of arrival, and more because they wanted money for City Tax (About 5 Euro) I don't recommend this hotel!

Well located. Metro, restaurants etc close to the hotel. Old furnitures, and not very good looking entrance hall. For people that only stays at the hotel to sleep and have a shower, because spends the day out, is ok.

Staff was surly. Rooms were filthy; smelled; poorly lit stairway to the room. Hotel uses motion sensor lights so that you have to feel your way up the stairs and have to be almost at the top of the stairway before the light comes on and even then it is low wattage. The same for the hallway into the rooms. Door to the room looked as if it had been broken into with the wood missing around the lock. The door rattled when people in the neighbouring room went into their room. Rooms were not soundproof in the least. View outside the window was of the air conditioning unit. We did not feel safe in the room at all. Bathroom had mould around fixtures and in the corners. Smelled mouldy and could definitely use an upgrade or, at the very least, an extremely thorough and extensive cleaning.

In your description the hotel offered free WIFI internet connection. This was only available on the ground floor with only 1 electricity outlet. Bathroom was very old and dingy. Room was in a quiet location but the noise of other guests entering and leaving their rooms, cold be heard through the thin walls and doors. Breakfast was not included in the price and I was charged Euro 8 per day for coffee, 1 small bread roll and 1 croissant, jam and cream cheese. Every day was the same poor in quantity and quality breakfast.

Although the room was spacious enough,it seemed that the walls were made of cardboard. We could hear other guests coming and going; doors slamming; people moving around in the room above and so on!! One group woke us up in the middle of the night with their laughter and knocking into walls. 'not happy Jan'

The lift was stuck when we arrived. When it worked the doors shut very abruptly and it was very jerky. The provision in the bathroom was ONE sachet of shower cream a day (It was a double room). We asked for extra pillows on three occasions but they were never available. We had to pay on arrival for our breakfasts as well as for the room. The breakfast rolls were stale and very hard on the first day. Had we known that we would not have ordered the meal and would have gone out. We booked the hotel on line. The booking was, at first accepted but the next day it was cancelled (probably because we have a Credit Agricole card that we use in France). On rebooking a higher price was asked. When I queried this at the desk the clerk was unwilling to comment. The hotel is reasonably placed with regard to public transport and the Gare du Nord but, and this is not the fault of the hotel, it would be very difficult to use a taxi because it is a narrow one way street and is also a bus route.

The Faubourg was overbooked (on purpose) and relocated us to a hotel outside Paris of inferior standards and still charged us the price quoted in advance, whilst the hotel we ended up staying in was half the price of this.

Broken lift, broken television, defect shower, no wifi and bugs in the room. By chance, they found me another hotel (Hotel de Paris, same owner) for the same price. Everything was perfect there. Le Faubourg is a sad surprise.

It was not a very nice place to stay. The only pro for this hotel is the location. However, there are plenty of other hotels in the area that probably provide better service and MUCH better rooms. The first room they gave us could barely fit the bed, had NO windows, and was about 90 degrees Fahrenheit. I definitely do not reccomend.

Very comfortable to visit the center of the city. Within 5 minutes you can reach a metro and Gare du Nord; within 10 minutes you are at the Opera. The room is almost enough what you need, nothing more, nothing less. the price is good.

Most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in in a long time. Room fairly small, but normal for Paris. Friendly staff and central location. But if you extend your stay, do it online via Venere: doing it at the front desk means you'll later find out that you've been given the rack room rate....

The description claimed Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Not only was there none, there was no internet connection whatsoever. The nearest was a 10 minute walk away. The staff said that it was Venere's fault, not theirs.

A very nice hotel, with a competent staff on the whole. Some of the older staff at reception seemed more concerned with typing on the computer than assisting guests, and none seemed to know that their site here advertised free WiFi access throughout the hotel. (There is - it's just the neighbour's WiFi access, and you can only get it in certain rooms through technological acrobatics and creative geometry.) The room was loud, but that was mostly because the Paris Streets Department was tearing up the street in front of the room. Note that some rooms are right next to the very red, very bright neon sign. Otherwise, it was quite a lovely hotel - recently renovated, in a good area, and a better-than-average respite from the nuttiness Paris can offer.

The reception spoke english and was helpful when answering our questions about the neighborhood and various city locations on the map. However, our room was located on the street side of the first floor and was LOUD (all night long)! The cleaning staff was not too friendly and the breakfast should be skipped. With all of the wonderful bakeries in Paris, I really didn't think the hotels day old rolls were that impressive. Overall, for a three night stay, the hotel served its purpose. I would not recommend this hotel... unless you have earplugs.
