I have no complains.Although the location isn't the best one there was metro and buses nearby. The hotel is in a busy road but I wasn't disturbed by the noise. It is an excelent 3stars hotel.

If you are looking for a Sheraton or Hilton kind of hotel, La Demeure is not it. This is a small Parisian hotel, Parisian style, run by a few people, so it is with that in mind that you have to read the ratings I have provided. This being said, for a small Parisian hotel, it is truly excellent. Great location, air-conditioned rooms, modern bathrooms, nicely decorated and really nice and helpful and patient front desk people (where we really in Paris???). We stayed with four in one room, which is really exceptional in Paris (and in Europe in general): 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Granted, the pull-out sofa was not super comfortable, but hey, for two nights, it was more than sufficient and better than having to pay for two rooms... I paid 247 USD a night: that is steep, but then again, it is Paris, and in the middle of August, and three stars. I loved the location as well: very close to two metro's (one a major line 10 minutes to the city center) and walking distance from a rail way station (in case you want to visit Versaille). The area is very calm and not too touristy, so this was a welcome relief after spending all day in the busy, bustling, hectic center of Paris. For my next trip to Paris, I will certainly stay there again. BAS, USA

Very dirty and small room, urine stains on the wall in the toilet, and broken shower screen. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you. The hand towel was dirty, but as we were just staying for one night it wasnt worth complaining about. Very few restaurants in the area, but very close to the Gare de Lyon which is why we chose it. You get what you pay for I guess!

Very nice one-week stay at this well-run hotel. Pleasant, inviting public rooms. Decent-sized attractive two-room suite and good service. Huge, very comfortable king bed with fresh linen daily. Good soundproof windows, I think, because it was very quiet with the windows closed! Nice-sized bathroom with tub and separate WC. Liked the neighborhood, and enjoyed the shortish walk to Jardin des Plantes to escape city noise during the day. Will definitely recommend to others, and hope to return. Minor disappointment: bedside lamps were poorly situated (too low) and dim. Requested standing bedside lamps at the front desk but didn't hear back. Toilet seat was unhinged; we didn't mention it -- but it was not repaired during our one-week stay.

Tidy, nice and quite spacious (for Paris) rooms. Noisy because of main street and hospital in near surroundings. Very friendly and helping staff. Price far too high for that kind of hotel!

A great hotel and location for those who do not want to be near the busy tourist areas. If you do prefer to be near the centre of attractions then this location is not for you. My husband and I prefer the quiet nature versus the big city atmosphere. If you do not mind walking then this location is perfect. It is quiet yet still has all of the wonderful Paris amenities you may require during your visit. A cafe, pastry shop, grocery store, etc are all within mintues from the hotel. Also, there is a metro station just down the streets which will get you to wherever you need in a short amount of time. Very quaint hotel and great value for the rates offered. The staff are very dedicated and very helpful! This hotel is also air conditioned and it was helpful on a couple of nights while we visited in late August!

The staff at La Demeure were very accomodating and professional. Checking in and out was very simple and quick. The outside of the hotel was very impressive and the lobby was beautifully decorated. With all our luggage only one of us could fit into the elevator at a time! We were given a room with a wonderful view of the Eiffel tower and the Sorbonne on the 6th floor. The room was clean and welcoming, however, very small. We were quite comfortable once we got our luggage put away though. The bathroom was also comfortable and pretty spacious actually. Breakfast was a little pricey-13 euros for a continental buffet and beverage. But it was convenient and adequate. The location is on the edge of the Latin Quarter with tons of brasseries, cafes, shops, etc and it only cost 20 euros to take a cab from Orly airport to the hotel-a real deal if you are weighed down by luggage as we were! Overall I was quite pleased with my stay at La Demeure and would definately stay there again.

La Demeure was a nice hotel in a residential neighborhood area of Paris. The room was small and a little beat up, but it was a good place to stay. Also, very close to a major train station.

The hotel's location is ideal, being a five minute walk from two metro stations. The staff were helpful on the occassions we required their assistance. The rooms were spacious, tidy and from our floor fantastic views. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will return to hotel La Demeure.

A well run hotel in a great location for seeing Paris. Only a 10 minute ride on the metrofrom Gare du Nord and the Eurostar. Delightful welcome from the manager, M. Cauet, who was more than happy to take our luggage for us, even though we were a bit early for checking in. Same when we checked out, with the whole day ahead of us, and a cab to the station was promptly offered on our return. Average size room for Paris, but huge bathroom with good shower and plenty of towels. Excellent breakfast, including proper tea,in a pot, using high quality tea bags - - no tastelesss Lipton Yellow here! On expressing our appreciation, we were told that Mariage Frères (famous Parisian tea Emporium) was a little too expensive, but this was the next best, and he's right, because we'd been to Mariage Frères. Would definitely recommend either for business or pleasure.

Suite was very spacious and clean. Although the furnishings fell somewhat short of those depicted in the photos, they were entirely adequate. The bath was brand new and exceptionally clean.Location is a bit out of the way but the metro is only three blocks away. There are three fabulous restaurants nearby along with several bakeries and brasseries. I'll definitely stay there when I return to Paris

We stayed in a suite at the very top of the hotel and so had a great view over the city. The room was very nice - clean, spacious and not noisy at all. The location was fine too as it is easily within walking distance of many of the attractions in Paris. The ONLY thing I could fault the hotel on was the price of breakfast, but even that wasn't a problem as there are lovely cafés and restaurants all over Paris :)

A really nice hotel - the room for 3 was good size with excellent bathroom facilities. Breakfast was good but at additional cost. Very convenient for the metro and on a bus route. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. We would stay here again.

The best thing I would like to mention is its location. La Demeure is located on not actually center area of Paris instead metro transport is directly going through Opera station (20 mins) and other corresponding station. It is very useful area. The surroundings is typical european high street. There is a big food market near the hotel. For travelers who have visited Paris several times , La Demeure is the one good choice, I suppose.

My stay at La Demeure would have been perfect if they had only made more of an effort to sort out the problem in the bathroom. On my return to my room on the second night, I paid a visit to the toilet and surprisingly got a shower at the same time. The leak from the ceiling carried on for the next 3 days/nights and the hotel failed to get it fixed. In recognition of the inconvenience this caused, the hotel took off the amount equivalent to 4 breakfasts (12euros per day). A kind gesture.

We had a very nice stay here, in this hotel. Fortunately it was big enough, everybody was very nice and the problems, which we have had in our room, they tried to solve with a great care.
