Small but nice hotel, great location. Maybe a bit too small rooms for mature couples but for young ones - very romantic.

The room we had was on the top floor and the lift stopped at the floor below. As my fiance's and I had loads of luggage it was quite a struggle to bring them up to our room and back down. The rooms looked small but the TV was fantastic. The shower place looked small but it was the plastic cover around the shower that was annoying. It will be better to replace it with a glass window of some sort. My fiancee, who is black, was mistaken for a cleaning lady by the guy at the reception as she was going to take her breakfast. That left a sour taste in my mouth

The location is good because it is at one of the main night life areas of Paris. The room looked awfull and had no view at all but still OK for the price and had all we needed. The heater takes years to start heating. There is no late night assistance at all, the night employee is extremely rude and does not answer phone at all, even hanging it up on the costumer, and gets annoyed when woken up from his bed that he places in the tinny breakfast room. Opposite from the girl just in the morning, unfortunetely, which is very nice. I would never return to this hotel, only because of the night employee behavior which is way worse then the usual Parisien expected mood.

I booked a quadruple room for my family and the room was perfect for us. The hotel has a very good relationship price/location, the Metro is very close (300 m.) and the 9th arr. is comfortable to visit all the Paris' attractions. The only problem has been the lift broken.

The room was noisy because of the sanitory. One could hear when the other clients went to toilets. There were blood stains on the bedspread and the sheets. THe room seemed also not so clean and we had to wait to have a breakfast because of the smallness of the eating room...

We got what we paid for.The room was clean. A rather small W.C.You had to be slim. An elevator for two.Nice with twin beds instead of a "grand lit".Not far to métro, restaurants & shops.THe staff was very kind and they spoke understanable English. But there must be one black sheep among them. This sheep was a younger man who was more interrested in smoking, watching Tour de France on TV than serving us. We had some quarrels first we had to wait till he had finished his cigarette before we got our key then he wouldn´t give us an extra plastic glass, because my wife needed to take some medicin. After a long discussion a girl, who probably cleaned the rooms gave me TWO!!! Atherwise we were very pleased. Yours, Gunnar Thunberg who stayed at La Bruyère six nights an has visited Paris more than 40 times

We would not stay in this hotel again, the bed clothes were not clean. The view consisted of looking into a 2*2M "court yard" that was nothing more than a light shaft - full of old rubish. The rooms were pokey and hot. It was a rip-off.

The hotel is excelent for 1 or 2 nights stay. The room and bathroom are tiny, but comfortable. Walls are thin, so you can hear your neighbours. In general for this price the quality is OK.

The employees of La Bruyere are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is simple, but sits in a nice neighbourhood close to Place Pigalle and Galeries La Fayette. The rooms are simple and very small, especially the bathroom is smaller than what I have ever seen.

The location was fine in regards to proximity to Gare de Nord. The neighborhood is not great. I had a nice room with a view of Sacre Couer. The clerk the night I checked in was nice enough then, the morning I checked out not so nice. The clerk the previous evening was downright creepy( Mohammed)and his restaurant recommendation I wouldn't recommend. I had some friends meet me the morning of my departure and was told no guests allowed upstairs, we are three middle aged women. The night before I was told by the creepy guy that their presence would not pose any difficulty, the cab that was called for us was a rip_-off. On a budget in a pinch I would maybe stay there again but probably not.

The overall stay in hotel was decent. I can say it was value for money after seeing the cleanliness and quiet atmosphere of the room, only compromising on space. But less space is the case with almost all the hotels in Paris in this price. However I think at the same or even a little lesser price (not much difference)you can get equivalent good hotels at a better location (this one was a little far from metro station - min 15 min walk). One very odd thing was the lift. Our room was on 4th floor (if i rem correctly) and lift was supposed to hold THREE persons at a time. We were two with one bag each and I cannot explain how we managed to reach our floor. I can say that if you are in a Paris for 2-3 nights you can have a decent stay here. Note: The location in the map is not accurate. Its a little further inside.

I stayed for four days in the hotel in a single room and in my opinion the hotel is ok. Also the location. Just as they say in their flyer. But the competence and the services of the employees was super bad. If the employees were kind and if they has given a better service, my stay would be much better.I met three different people at the reception, but all three had the same bad, unkindly attitude. Because of these employees I will not book this hotel anymore. I advice the owner to do something about the attitude of the employees, because the hotel itself is ok.

nice cheap little motel to stay in. staff friendly and helpful. was in the red light district which my girlfriend and i didnt realize but the reception guy was very good at warning us where not to go late at night. very close to metro. rooms a bit noisy and quite little but very satisfactory considering the price. no airconditioning so a bit hot in summer. all in all very happy with the place.

The bathroom was not a "room", but a ridiculously narrow cupboard. I found it difficult to squeeze-in and use, I literally got stuck on the toilet seat hemmed in by two walls! It was hot and we had to leave the windows open because the room was not airconditioned, but we couldn't sleep because of the sound of the passing traffic. On the second afternoon the hot water system broke down, when I asked when it would be repaired I was told soon, this went on until 11:30pm, when it was obvious by then that it would not be repaired that night. The desk clerk told me that I would not have to pay for that nights stay, but he didn't have the authority to do so, because when I came to check out the next morning a different desk clerk demanded full payment (there was still no hot water!). I protested, and eventually received a discount for that night. I would never stay in that hotel again, and warn others to ask for the size of the rooms and bathrooms in Paris before booking.

Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Camere pulite anche se un pò rumorose durante il week-end a causa del traffico. Ottimi letti. Buona posizione, vicino a metro ed a negozi. Se non avete molti soldi da spendere ve lo consiglio.

Typical 2star Hotel, and not more. Most of the rooms are to the street (no heavy traffic, christmasholidays) but the windows are not the very best (when you are tired you have no problem until 7 in the morning). We had no luck with the bathroom (probably the smallest in the hotel? I saw bigger ones in other rooms.). An average fat American has no place to sit on the toilet and you can't fix the shower on the wall (but you have two hands to hold an wash ;-)). Beds were o.k. and the room was clean. The staff was friendly an can speak English. Breakfast is typical french (Croissant, Pain au chocolat, no ham or cheese, Bakery in the same house). Positive is the fact, that you have 3 tube stations nearby, the red light area didn't affect us.

The most spacious room that I have ever found in Europe for such a great price. Get off at the Saint Georges métro stop. It does't have the MOST convenient location, but it is in a safe area and a short metro ride away from anything. I highly highly highly recommend going with 3 or 4 people. The triple and quad rooms are absolutely amazing.

The Hotel was clean and some of the staff more helpful than others. One of them claimed to have made reservations for a show and wanted to charge 3 Euros for each and when we got to the show the tickets were not there. It would have also been good if we would have been told that the hotel was being refurbished
