Overall a great place to stay - staff were friendly and helpful, spoke excellent English, and nothing was too much trouble for them no matter what time of day. The rooms are not large but are quite adequate, spotless and comfortable. Only thing lacking is tea & coffee making facilities, but with so many cafes and restaurants nearby who cared? They have an excellent breakfast room with plenty of hot and cold options, and the local streets abound with great eateries; the Eiffel Tower is only a few minutes walk as is the Quai D'Orsay (you must dine at Chez Francois there, the hotel will show you where it is, superb!). All in all the location is spot on and the hotel was a great choice.

We had a wonderful stay at the Jardins d'Eiffel. The staff was most helpful and the hotel was quiet and comfortable. Our room with a view of the Eiffel Tower was very nice. Location is excellent for sightseeing and accessing the metro. We will be back!

This hotel is in a convenient location, allowing walking access to the Eiffel Tower and many shops and restaurants along Rue St. Dominque. Also, convenient walking access to the metro station, which provides efficient travel to the areas of interest to tourists. Rooms are small by US standards, but in keeping with what we found in our European travels. The hotel is an older facility, but is kept clean and reasonably well maintained. I would rate it as a 3-star hotel. It is off the main streets, and is sheltered from most outside noises.

We have stayed here several times and I am afraid this will be our last time. We have had problems with our last 2 stays here. What a shame! The view is incredible but there are several others in the area that won't throw out your personal belongings, & then argue w/ you when you bring it to their attention. And no this is not rude French (they are not rude at all), just a particular rude person that works there. But I refuse to be in my favorite city & put up with this. Especially when I have spent 3 weeks in the middle of nowhere in France and not had 1 issue.

This hotel is very nice for a stay in Paris. It is very close to the Eiffel tower and the parking is really a convenience. Next to that the rooms are very nice, and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately if you book a double room, these are two beds who stick together and not one large bed. But the room was very clean.

My husband and I had arranged to meet our friends in Paris for a short break in June. Since we wanted to make the best of the attractions, we chose to stay in the 7th, between the Eiffel Tower and the Invalides. We had previsously stayed in the Bastille (11th) at a much lower price and also much more seedier hotels but that's another story! We pre-booked the room at quite a reasonable rate considering it's location. We didn't opt for the Breakfast as it was €15 / person and being in Paris...you can go to any decent cafe to get a Cafe Creme & Croissant for €4. We knew they had a few rooms with a view over the EIffel Tower so I did query them about having one of those after having booked. The management explained that you had to pay an extra €30 a night for these and since we had a limited budget we had to decline it. The hotel was easy to find, a 2 minutes walk from Metro La Tour Maubourg on line 8 and in a very quiet street, which was quite nice. The lobby was spotless, spacious and they have a courtesy computer which you can use for free if you don't have a laptop with you. (they had free wi-fi in the rooms BTW) The staff was most helpful and very polite. When we got to our room, it was a reasonable size (it being Paris) and was spotless. We were a bit surprised by what seemed a double bed was in fact twin beds tucked in together but it didn't bother us. The room also has the benefit of overlooking the courtyard, so very quiet and also authentic as you see the locals buildings and balcony. It was dark so I went to open the curtains and the window as I always do when I come in and start unpack. There was my big surprise, they had given us a room with the view of the Tower and didn't charge us the extra!! I was so pleased and it did make our stay vey special. After a long stroll along the Seine we went back to our hotel to admire the Tower all lit up.

The hotel is located very close to the sites that tourists want to see in Paris, e.g. Eiffel Tower. There were little grocery stores and restaurants close to the hotel. We found an excellent restaurant/sidewalk cafe near the hotel where my wife and I could have a great dinner for under 25 Euros for both of us. The room was very quiet, and we rarely could hear other guests in the hallway.

Thank you for such a great view of the Eiffel Tower (as shown on your website). Fabulous 2 night stay at your hotel. The staff was very helpful with directions. We were so thrilled to have a nice laundry facility right across the street with Miele W/D's. so many boulangerie within a block or two. Loved that it was in a smaller neighborhood and was tucked back from the busy streets. We both felt safe walking at night. I have recommended to friends for the future and I will for sure stay there on my next trip to Paris. The location was great. So close that we hardly took the metro. Walked thru Rue Cler and over to St. Germain area several times. Very easy walking and lots of great shops nearby.

The room was totally different from the pictures shown on the site. When I asked for a Eiffel Tower view they asked a charge of 30 euro extra a night. The walls are so thin, I could hear every sound from the hall, but also I could hear the neighours waken up, sing. I came to Paris to go to some parties with friends, and after the stay I was really really tired... The charge of the parking is the same as they charge in a public parking and that is too much, you're a guest no?....

We arrived late by taxi (beware of minicab drivers trying to overcharge-ask around for prices before getting into the car) and were greeted by the warmest welcome. We were offered advice on where to go on our short stay to maximise our visit to Paris. The room was small but clean and cosy. The bathroom was spotless. The walls are quite thin and it was possible to hear noise from other rooms however, it did not impinge on our sleep. The location was fabulous. The Eiffel Tower was just around the corner and with a good map, it was easy to walk to the main attractions. We were greeted again by our receptionist on the second night and he was interested to hear what we had done and what we had planned for our last day. He was genuinely happy to talk to us. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this hotel. Trying to use a bit of French really endears you to locals!

This place was great! Right by the Eiffel Tower and very central to lots of great stops in Paris. Very short (under 5 min.) walk to subway. Area seemed very safe. If you are expecting a huge view of the Eiffel Tower you may be disappointed, but if you go out on the balcony you can still see the top of it over the buildings. The staff are a bit surly, but they are French after all. They speak English well. A manager did come by to ask if housekeeping was doing a good job, which they were. It was nice that she cared enough to ask. This is a reasonably nice room at an awesome rate and location, which is want you really want in any big city. It's small and not luxurious compared to American hotels, but still great by European standards.

Our room was a disappointment. It was small and somewhat shabby, although the mini-bar and flat-screen TV were nice to have. The bathroom was nicely appointed and roomy, however. The hotel front, lobby, and breakfast room are ugly compared to the other 3-star hotels located on the same street. We didn't feel the overall "package" were worth what we paid. The hotel seemed "two-and-a-half star". Location is good, however, 2 blocks from the Rue Cler and an easy walk to the Seine, the Invalides, or the Eiffel Tower. The rate that Venere had was better than the rack rate; we're not totally unhappy -- we'd just opt for a different hotel next time.

Bearing in mind Paris is expensive rather like staying in a Manhattan hotel expect to pay well for anything of a fair standard and also centrally located. The room was clean not fitted to highest spec but functional and honest. Shower head is positioned low down why? I don't know. The bath is really only big enough for standing in. There was a chipped unit in my bathroom which was poor given the fact that it wouldn't take long to sort out. There are safes in the wardrobes. Had to ask for replacement shower gel which you shouldn't need to do of course. But it was promptly replaced. My only real gripe was an annoying tapping sound in the morning from a water heater above the bathroom. I'm sure I'm not the first guest to notice it either. The buffet breakfast is good but try and get in the room before rush hour (ie before 8:30). This is a busy popular hotel with business and tourist clients staying there. The location is the selling point, 5 minutes from metro and within walking distance of the Seine and musée des Invalides. Oh yes, no bar in hotel was a little dissapointing but the brasseries down the road will make up for that. "La source" bistrot pub was good by metro stop La Tour Maubourg and "La petite Nicoise" next to hotel is a great little restaurant with nice staff. One of the best places I ate at.

Hello, When I booked the Jardin d'Eiffel, the site said that breakfast was included and also in my confirmation. This information was apparently not correct on your site. The original desk clerk saw my conf. and agreed to the free breakfast because the info was in my confirmation. When I went to check out, the other desk clerks argued with me and tried to charge me for the breakfasts until the original clerk who checked me in came out and settled things. Amin (sp.), the night clerk was extremely helpful to us and friendly as was the original clerk who checked us in but the rest of the staff was rude and unfriendly. Also, the street in front of the hotel was blocked off with a barricade so the taxi driver could not go down the street, water was running everywhere; very inconvenient when pulling luggage and when being picked up for excursions. There was no staff at the hotel to help us. The barricade had apparently been there a while as the street was being worked on so this being the case, the hotel should have compensated by having staff available to help. Within a few days, the barricade was moved over so that by the time we left, the taxi could get down the street. I guess all the complaints from the customers got them moving. A little late for us. Also, the site says that one can see the Eiffel Tower from certain bedrooms and they charge extra for these rooms. One does not have a view of the Eiffle from those rooms without going out on a small balcony and leaning out to see. Our friend responded to an email from the hotel asking if she would like to upgrade to one of these rooms for more money and she did so. She felt as though she had been scammed. The hotel was nice and clean but I'm not sure that it deserves a three star rating; maybe 2 1/4.

Hotel is an OK only. Rooms are genearally clean if somewhat lacking in maintenance, staff force themselves to be civil but you do feel as though you are under obligation however they will competently ring you a taxi if you persist. Comunication between staff is lacking bigtime as you will get a different answer from each as to facilities provided. They don't have an iron which is a major fault(the clothes press in the room is garbage) I had to run down the street and bribe someone to get my clothes ironed so that we could go for our dinner cruise on the sein, overrated by the way and a ripoff, better to just do the sight seeing trip on bateaux rouge. Hotel is 10 mins hard walk from the eiffel tower and about the same from Invalides, everything else in paris and its metro time or taxi time. Would advise that you research the Metro system before arriving , a good system but you would need a crash course first. Value for money for a hotel in Paris is good I guess but we will be looking around a bit more on our next visit to Paris , which by the way ,according to us, should be called the Capital city of the world.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. The one-way street it was located on was under construction which prevented us from driving up to the hotel. I was dropped off at the curb to walk down the street to the hotel entrance while my husband was driving around the block looking for another parking area. Eventually, we were told to back into the one-way street in order to park our car in the underground parking. Upon checking in and retrieving our bags from the parking garage, we went through darkened hallways looking for the elevator to take us to the room. The elevators were hardly big enough for 2 people let alone carrying luggage. The room was sparsely decorated and very small. The removable shower head was attached to the wall at faucet height making the comfort of a hot shower difficult. On a more positve note, the hotel is within walking distance of the Alexander Bridge and Eiffel Tower. The L'Open Tour Bus was the best value to see ALL of Paris with an audio tour.

Great loaction however our room was on the street at the front and at night and in the early morning is was very noisy. Also the air conditioning was broken on the floor we were on and we were not told about this when we checked in. We managed to move rooms to one at the back of the hotel which was excellent after we complained. Staff were however very friendly and helpful. It should be noted that to have breakafst in the hotel it costs 15 euros each per day which is way over priced, there are two bakers 30 seconds from the hotel selling 4 croissants for 2 euros.

There was an A/C unit in the room, however it could not be turned on. The window did offer a pleasant breeze at night, but also the noise of non-stop fork trucks loading freight down the street. Could not get any sleep due to the noise. If you want to stay here, only the top floor will do.

The pictures from the website did not truly capture the room, which were small. It wasn't what I expected, the piture were deceptive. The bathrooms are very cramp, I am not a big person but I was getting clostraphobic. But you were in close range of the Eiffel Tower.

My wife loved Paris, and our hotel room was great. Great location, 10min walk to Eiffel Tower, 5min walk to Metro. The only thing I would knock would be that they implied that breakfast was included, it wasn't. But it was worth it I guess. The other gripe would be the location of our room, it overlooked the main street and it was terribly noisy in the early am. So we would return, but a different room. We would certainly stay at this hotel again, very fair price for location. Great neighborhood as well. Lots of little shops, cafe's, bakery's etc...

The Jardins d'Eiffel is an excellent value for Paris and very convenient to the Metro and most major sights. By European standards the rooms are large and several have picturesque views of the Eiffel Tower. I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and will continue to do so when I visit Paris. My only concern on this occasion was the lack coffee available to guest in the morning. Although there is a very nice breakfast served each morning by the hotel for 13.50 Euro there is no way for a guest to obtain a cup of coffee without paying for breakfast. When I questioned the desk clerk on this issue she insisted that if I wanted a cup of coffee I would have to buy breakfast. I found this position a little unreasonable for a hotel of this caliber but would still recommend the Jardins d” Eiffel to anyone visiting Paris

I took my mother to Paris for a weekend as she had never been and I was really disappointed by this Hotel. The room was incredibly small and though we requested a room with a view of the Eiffel tower, what we got was a partial view of the tower which was mostly blocked by taller buildings. Apparently there are only about 4 rooms with a proper view. The elevator broke and the response of the reception was 'we can't do anything about it tonight'. My mother in her mid 60s and recent medical treatment had to therefore walk up to the 3rd floor. The only good thing about this hotel was that it is within walking distance of the Eiffel tower, about 10 - 15 mins walk. Other than that, I was just disappointed every time i had to go to the hotel. Additionally having to pay 110 euros a night without breakfast, I definitely would not go to this hotel again. I should have returned to the Concorde La Fayette where I took my father for a weekend last year. At least their selling point of 'Eiffel Tower views' was justified.

We stayed four days on vacation in May, 2006. Staff could not have been more helpful: my English should be so good. The only problem we experienced was a lack of hot water in the morning. Plenty at night, but a challenge in the morning. And, yes, we could see the Eiffel Tower from the room. Hope they get the hot water issue sorted out because we'd be happy to stay here again.

The other ratings on this site are over rated. The room we got was right next to the elevator so we could hear everyone coming and going. The AC in the room was not working. We requested to have it fix the next day and nothing was done. One of the staff was very rude and not friendly. They gave us the wrong information on how long it will take to get a taxi which caused us unnecessary stress and almost missed our flight. We're not going back to this place.

We appreciated the fact that we were given a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower as requested. The washroom had a bath/shower. It must be noted that the bath was deep and anyone with mobility issues might have a problem getting in and out. The hotel room was small in size, but typical of what we observed during our stay in France. The bed was comfortable. There was a bakery, laundry facility and restaurant in proximity of the hotel which was great. The daytime staff was welcoming and efficient. The same cannot be said for the night shift. We stayed at the hotel for two days, but remained in Paris for an additional three days at an other hotel as we found cheaper accomodations with similar services.

I was woken both mornings of my stay by the noise from the kitchen - clearing of plates. The layout of the hotel was confusing and on arrival despite having booked three twin rooms and a single our group was allocated three double rooms - which took about 30 mins to change as the person behind the desk kept sending us off to check if the rooms were doubles or twins.

We stayed at Hotel Jardins d'Eiffel for four nights. I expected the rooms to be small based on what I had read on this site. They were smaller than we're used to but absolutely fine, enough space for belongings and to move freely. It wasn't exactly like the pictures on the website but very clean which is high on our list of priorities. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel again due to what we had read on the site about how expensive it was so we ate at a little cafe nearby which suited us as we didn't have to be there by a particular time. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating and the free internet access in the lobby was a bonus! We requested a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and they were able to do this for us. The hotel is situated a few minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower and we walked everywhere: Arc de Triomphe, Sacre Coeur, Notre-Dame, Louvre, Cimetiere du Pere-Lachaise... It was a lot of walking (approx. 25 miles over the four days) but it allows you to take in other sites and the atmosphere on the way. Even if you're not a walker, the metro stations seemed to be everywhere we looked so it's easy to jump on - just make sure the doors don't shut before your group are all on the train as they don't open again as we found out! Overall, we had a lovely break, Paris is a little pricey but somewhere we'd always wanted to visit and this hotel is a good base to explore the city.

The room was very clean--it was air conditioned as promised--it was also quiet except for a short drunken outburst by an american young lady on our floor. as stated by other reviews we read online the location is close to restaurants, bakeries, and several markets. fairly close to the eiffel tower--not too far a walk. we would stay here again. this was our second visit to paris, but our first staying for several days. our first visit was a day trip from belgium.

Hotel recommended by Rick Steve's 2006 France book. 15% room discount quoted in his book not honored - clerk who checked us out told us that our breakfast was free (hence no 15% off). Clerk who checked us in told us breakfast was extra. Very confusing - we never did eat breakfast here.

We spent two nights in Paris and the location of the hotel was amazing. A short walk to the Eiffel tower and the metro station. There are lovely little streets with gorgeous cafes and shops. I would definately recommend this hotel although our request for a view of the Eiffel Tower was not catered for and the staff were not friendly. Location Perfect

L'ambiente non è fastoso ma più che decoroso. Avevamo chiesto una camera con vista torre e siamo stati accontentati. Possiamo dire che per una notte la sola luce nella camera era quella della torre. Una piccola magia! Sicuramente ci rivedremo presto!

Loud construction next door. No hot water one morning. Electricity went off while I was showering. No coffee or tea is rooms. Attempted to charge full breakfast fee for a cup of coffee. Lift was very slow or did not operate at all.

When we checked out, we found that the price of the room increased each day we where there. The price shown on the website was correct, for the first day, and increased to an additional $30.00 euros for the last 2 days. It would be nice to have the total price of the stay quoted when you do your reservations. The room & staff where wonderful. The hotel's location is great. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris.

The room we had was a good size and it had had a good sized bathroon as well. The bed we had was very comfortable, and very big (larger than a standard double)! The room, along with all of the hotel was spotlessly clean. Our room had a balcony, although it was only big enough to stand on - it wasn't wide enough for a chair! We did have a good view of the Eiffel Tower though. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and all spoke excellent English. The only negative is the breakfast, which although good as far as continental breakfasts go, it was a bit expensive at EUR13.50. As for the location, well it couldn't be better. It's located on a very quiet side street only a few minutes stroll from the Eiffel Tower and about 15 minutes to the Place de la Concorde. There are plenty of bars and cafes and shops around and we will certainly come here again the next time we visit Paris (which we will!).

WWe were a party of 3 adults & 1 child(age 6) occupying 2 rooms. We found the rooms to be perfectly adequate for 2 people. They are spacious including the bathroom & have a minibar and tv.The rooms are spotless as is the entire hotel. They also have some of the most comfiest beds i've ever slept in.The hotel staff were friendly, helpful & polite at all times & spoke excellent english. As for the location well you couldn't ask for better, simply a 5 minute stroll to the eiffel tower & 15 minute stroll to the champs elysees. The hotel is located on a quiet side sreet and is right next door to a police station so you feel very safe. The streets surrounding the hotel are full of traditional parisien cafes, bakeries, supermarkets & there is also a wonderful fruit & veg market nearby. There is also an irish bar, O'Briens, around the corner if you fancy a taste of home.We prefered to try the parisien cafe/bars, they're beautiful. We found all french people to be very polite & helpful although they don't appear to speak much english. We definitely recommend this hotel, you won't get any better for the price.Just ignore all the negative comments you may have read about this hotel.they're obviously made by people who are impossible to please. We'll definitely be back.

Great location but room was very small and quite expensive for the size. The bathroom had cracked tile on the floor and outside of the tub. Other than that, it was fine but just very small. Easy to move around the city from that location. Breakfast was too expensive so we did not eat at the hotel.

We were stuck in Paris for an additional two days because of the strike and had to change a bunch of reservations and needed to extend our stay. The receptionist helped us so much and we really appreciated it. And it was my girlfriend's birthday, and we got an amazing room that overlooked the Eiffel Tower. What a view!

We got a really good deal from venere.com so I was satisfied with our stay but I don't think it would have been worth $150 euro/night. The room was very clean but definitly old - nothing like the pictures on the website. The hotel is in a great location though and a great neighborhood and you can see the Eiffel Tower -request room 209, 309, or 409 for a view. Watch out about breakfast though! We thought it was free with the hotel and it turns out it cost 13.50 euro per person for a continental breakfast of cereal, croisants, and yougurt. That's obviously a huge rip off. Thankfully we only went once before we figured out we were being charged.

When I first arrived the front desk said they did not have a room with a view as I requested but they corrected it and we stayed in room 508 with the most stunning view of the Eiffel Tower you could want. Great location. Nice Bathroom. Great Sheets. Great time. Ou La La.

Room was rather small as would be expected in most European hotels but was clean and well maintained. The hotel is on a quiet though narrow street, and the location is very convenient -- we could walk to most places. The metro station and a taxi stand are about 150m away. The front-desk staff were polite, courteous and fluent in English.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was much larger than we expected, and had a glorious view of the Eiffel tower.(I had requested a room with a view). There was an Air France bus from Orly airport to Les Invalide, a couple blocks from the hotel, very convenient, and affordable.(12 euro return). The location was superb for sightseeing, and there was a metro stop close by too. There is a great restaurant practically right across the street. The only thing lacking was nightlife. There are no bars around,so you either get to bed early or need to cab it elsewhere. We definitly recomend this hotel.

The receptionists' proficiency in English was a great help indeed. I was sick for 2 days and they helped to get a doctor for me and we managed to extend our stay by an extra day. The room was spacious and neat but I hated the large extra mirrors next to the bed and in the bathroom - make us feel somewhat uncomfortable! The paid internet service was of no help when we try to book a flight from Paris to London because there is no printer provided to print the booking and confirmation. After much persuasion the receptionist, going against the hotel policy, allowed me to print the booking particulars. But the following day the hotel would not allow me to print the confirmation as it is against the hotel policy. But the lady receptionist did help to phone the airline to comfirm our flight. We left for the airport without knowing the terminal to check in.

The hotel is really perfect and very romantic! Actually, NOT all the rooms have a view to Eiffel tower, but we were happy to be in room 301, where we could enjoy this illumination show during the nights. The room is not so big but it is more than enough for two people loving each other ;) Everything is clean and well decorated. The bath is also very clean and comfort. The hotel is actually 3 stars, not 2. And this is true. In the room you will have not only hair-dryer and mini-bar but even trousers ironing machine! Location of the hotel is also just perfect! The district is very quiet and safe during the nights. Not only Eiffel tower and Palace de Invalides but Triumph Arc, Latin Quarter, Montparnass et al. are in walking distances from the hotel. Shortly, it is HIGHLY recommended!

Hotel was very nice - clean and quiet. Rooms were a bit small but they were clean, quiet and warm. We had our own thermometer to control temperature. Towels were changed and bed made up daily. Room had a lovely view of a brick wall but we didn't complain - we weren't there much. Hotel was also in a pretty good location - very close to Rue Cler.

The total service provide by venere is good. I encountered a taxing situation when I had a business travel this time. I could hardly catch the flight due to the terrible service provided by local airline office. So I made a call and girl from venere was nice and helped me a lot. Thanks!

The price was very reasonable for pricey Paris. I suspect that, because of the low price we were given a room in the old section of the hotel. Very tiny with such thin walls that we could here snoring from the room next door.

Ok, any hotels in the centre of a big city it's not what you expect from a capital. But.. The room was clean, there was the minibar, any employee was kind and that's the most important thing.. we never have breakfast in the hotel, it was too expensive. In any case i have to admit that it was exactly what we read on internet before making the reservation.

Excellent location, near from the most important places to go in Paris, easy to go anywhere from the Hotel. Excellent service provided by the people at the front desk, specially the girls who attended us in Spanish language. My wife and I had a really nice stay there, and won't have any doubt in recommending or staying again in your Hotel in case we visit Paris again.

The twin beds were smaller than average. They were more like child size beds. We had stayed elasewhere the week before in normal size twin beds, and these were clearly smaller, let alone very uncomfortable. You didn't really have room to tun over or move much, which causes terrible back pain and stiffness in the morning. The TV cable did not work well, and they did not repair our sink even though we told them it was hardly draining the first day of our stay. Good location, lousy prodcut.
