The price is to expensive for what you get. Only good thing about that hotel is the location, it stands near the metro station. When we come the room was totally dirty (toilet paper all around, used sheets...) and the guy in reception didn't do anything. He said that the cleaner has already gone and he doesn't have any room left. So we only take clean sheets and made up the place.

The hotel location is good as it near to the metro station. However, the attitude of the staff was cold and unfriendly. Besides, the shared toilet and bathroom are small and not clean. Even the lock of the toilet was not in a good condition which made me feel unsafe. There was some renovation work on going during our stay, so the public area was full of dust. I can also see the workers going in and out without any clarification from the staff. Overall, this hotel only worth to go if you are budget in accommodation. Otherwise it is not recommended to stay especially for girls.

I was thouroughly disappointed with this Hotel, The room was nothing more then a box with a double bed, a rickty table and a sink, no curtains on the window. When I arrived the night attendant was overtly rude and unhelpful, There was building work going on all through out our stay and the toilets were a lottery if they were working. there should have been 8 toilets but three were being worked on and the other were not always usable, as would not flush. I would srongly recommend everyone looking at this to save up a bit more cash a go somewhere a little bit more expensive. You will be thankful you did.

Hotel is so dirty and so smelly! Bathroom is also smelly! The room is smelling like somebody was smoking inside all the time... a lot of dust.. bad isolation.. old furniture.. dirty beds with spots.. Reception was kind, but I will never ever come back in the same place.

I stayed two nights, we should have stayed four but the misery and the smell were hard to resist more. The shower from our floor did not function, everywhere was misery. There was no place where to sit and socialize (on their page was mentioned a tv lounge). It was the worst hotel i have ever stayed in.

Hotel very small and simple.Rooms small and clean but the toilets and showers are too small, old and dirty. There are no spaces in common, there is a small breakfast room (only 5 € is a good price compared to the local breakfast nearby). Subway just 100 meters leading throughout the city (5 minutes Moulin Rouge, 10 minutes, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower 20 minutes). Quality / price excellent for those who want to spend a few days

When I booked I was worried. I needed a cheap hotel for 2 nights. All cheap hotels got very bad comments. This one got less bad comments than the others, but still. We would sleep here a family with a child. We took the chance and I must say the bad comments was not fair. The hotel was simple - but OK. The rooms small - but OK. The stuff did speak english and was helpful. The cleening lady very very kind and sweet. Did her best I am sure. Så we did not stay at a five star hotel, but we slept safe and good and got good value for the money. The area of the hotel itself we returned many times to for eating and shopping sheep. Thanks Hipotel Paris Bordeaux Ménilmontant for being what we needed for the moment. Saha be sef

I have stayed 4 nights at this hotel from 16.11.2013 and I want to tell you about my experience because that's how I chose the hotel also, from other's people reviews. 1. The location is good , I have walked from Paris Central train station 30 minutes but you have a direct train also and the metro Belleville is 100m away from the hotel. 2.The area is safe and you also have a very good restaurant close called La Cantine 3. The neighborhood is a mix of Chinese and Arabs and french off-course and in the evening the boulevard has some chinese prostitutes as well 4. The hotel was still renovating at the reception area but there was no noise in the mornings 5. We stayed in room 63 and it smelled like fresh paint because it was renovated and it had toilet and shower , very nice for the money we paid. 6.If you get a room like ours then I am sure that is the best you can find for that amount of money .

Mould on the walls, toilet barely flushed, loud because of renovations being done, Internet doesn't work in rooms, walls need a new coat of paint and pretty sure there were prostitutes at night right by the metro stop. Staff were kind and helpful though.

Clean rooms, great position in the center of Paris, excellent unbeatable prices for this area, good services. We enjoyed staying here and we recommended it to friends. One of our friends actually wants to book a room for him and his wife in Hipotel this autumn, seeing the location of it and hearing our recommandations. Thank you, Hipotel! We will definitly come back!

Some of the staff did not speak English which was a little difficult. Only 1 of 4 days the wifi worked which made planning difficult. No elevator and we had to walk 4 flights of stairs with our bags. The guy who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful, the daytime guy on the weekend was not super helpful. They do have a luggage room to keep bags after checkout which was nice.

People who complained that the hotel is not beautiful or not clean need to make a little more research or stay in another hotel in Paris for the same price (I said SAME PRICE). I've stayed in all kind of cheap hotels in Paris and I find this one is one of my favorite. + : It's really cheap and locates in the center of Paris. The room is fully warmed. The staff is OK. My room is quite clean. - : Quietness level is not appriciated though. We can hear people taking bath in the corridor or doing "things" in other rooms. The neighbourhood is in the center of Paris so there are a lot of people and cars passing by. My advice : don't go to sleep before 1am if you're not an easy sleeper. The toillets are a little bit dirty too. Overall : I'm 25. I travel with my girlfriend . We just need a fair place to sleep at night. This hotel matches my goal, so it's 7.5/10. * For people who looking for good price and want to stay in the center of paris, this one may be the best for you. For people looking for good price and good service, keep on looking you will never find one haha. *I stayed in another hotel in the center of Paris with the same service and it costed me 54 euros for a single room (2 persons) while here it's just 35 euros. *Hotels with better service (cleaner and calmer) and with same price can be found in the provence of paris (zone 92, 93, 95) but not here. So if you don't have a car, be prepared to take a train for 30-45 mins and walk about 30 mins to your hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, the the overall impression was really bad. The hotel was smell badly from the receptionist, to the corridor, the room, the bathroom and toilet. Especially, inside our room and also another room that we have chance to get in, they were both stinky. The surroundings were noisy and even some drunken men on the street try to slide up our windows and look into our room. We have to lock the glass windows and slide the curtain. I did not feel safe in my sleep and during my stay at all. The reception was small, and dirty. Receptionist was not so welcoming. When I wanted to pay by credit card, the guy even try to refuse by saying their card reader was having problem. But I insisted that I didnot bring cash, and finally he must let me pay by credit card. The room was smelly, the double bed was small and not good, bed sheet dirty, and the towel looked like it had been used for 10k times. I could see some part of the wall in the room was broken. The only thing that looked quite ok was the bathroom, which looked quite new and clean, but again smelly. The hostel was also under renovated some part, and so messy. Overall, I experienced smelly, dirty, noisy, fell annoyed and unsafe during my stay; worse than all the hostels I have ever stay. I will never come back to this "hotel" and recommend nobody to stay there. It is not even worth its cheap price.

1 wire hanger in the closet and 1 dim lamp on the ceiling. Third floor without elevator. Heating worked 1 night out of 2. Rather noisy at night. Wifi only available in a wrecked room next to reception: 1 table for 1 person, the others sit on chairs and use their laptops on their laps; only one electrical outlet available there. I guess the price/quality must be not too bad since it was full: best thing you can get for 38 euros in a not bad area of Paris near a suwway station?

The room was absolutely terrible. The sink gurgled in the night. The hard mattress had a plastic cover that kept me awake. People showed in what I think was the only shower in the 1st 3 floors in the middle of the night. The room badly needed painting. The lobby/wifi area was under construction. I had a 18 hour layover and thought this place would be better than sleeping at the airport, it wasn't. I should have paid an extra 20E and gotten a proper room.

We have recently stayed at this hotel and must say that for the money we paid /45€ per night/, we could not really expect much more than what we got. The bed sheets as well as the towels were clean and there was a wash basin in the room which was good. The common showers & toilets did need cleaning - it looked like if nobody cleaned them for months. However, overall, the hotel's location is perfect, only few steps from a tube station, which we found really good. I would recommend this hotel to backpackers or people on low budget, definitely not for families with children or couples expecting to spend a romantic night!
