Useful to have had travel experience in the east in addition to knowledge of languages from the southern mediterranean area. The whole place seems to be under an eternal renovation. The walls are thin, noisy neighbours might disturb your sleep. WiFi only in the lobby, provided it works, breakfast outside in a café down the street. Nice people in the "lobby" though.

It was indeed the cheaper one at this period, but it had the following annoying characteristics, not such clean bathroom, window could not remain closed.

Staff very nice, enough too forget you're in a cheap hotel. The rooms are small and they're is no a lot of place for your baggage, but it makes the job. Wi-fi is not available in the romms, which is not very usefull, but at least you have it in the hotel and they're as lot of touristic information. Well situated, easy to travel by the subway. Very nice area, less expensive than downtown and present a good possibility to meet the "real" Paris.

Cheap and low cost - did not expect a lot better, but ideal if you are just looking for a place to sleep after a long day of sightseeing. The bathroom was worse than usual, but still accepable.

I stayed in this hotel without any expectations at all because I was with very low budget, and I can said that I really enjoyed my stay, friendly staff, even with a decent breakfast, however don't expect perfetion, this is the perfect example of "you receive what you paid", my room had a little bit of cigarrete smell, I told the staff and the next day they cleaned everything. They can speak english (not "VERY" well) but they always try to help you. Other important thing that you have to know, is that it has a NICE location in a safe place just next to the PERE LA CHAISE station (5 minutes walking)in a s, so for going to the tourist places just take some minutes Summarizing, if you want to save some money this is your best option, as I said, you receive what you paid Ps: I stayed 6 nights for turism with my girlfriend

WARNING – DO NOT STAY HERE! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN TRAVELING ALONE! One of their employees drunkenly tried to come into my room at 2 AM in the morning with a key. When I woke up and realized what he was doing I yelled at him to go away. He left and then came back and kept knocking on my door. I had to yell at him AGAIN! I was so freaked out I moved the dresser in front of the door. I packed my bags and left as quickly as possible.

We, my girlfriend and me! Have been last weekend in Paris and stood in the belfort Hotel. It is a normal parisian size hotel. The entrance is pretty comfortable and welcoming. The floors to the rooms are pretty tight and not for corpulent people. The room was clean, even the bathroom (where we think it is looking better in real then on theese pictures here!!!!) We have found 3 clean hotel towels and even soap in the bathroom. Which was perfect for us because we forgot them at home. We can definitely recommend this Hotel!!! It has a pretty good standart in comparison to the price (we paid for 1 Person 27 Euros the night) and we come from germany there you have sometimes allready to pay about 27 Euros for a room in a youth hostel so THIS PRICE IN THE CENTER OF PARIS is AWESOME!!!! Also you have to understand this is a 2* and not a 5* hotel so it is understandable that the standard is a little different but still in comparison with the price very good! Because in paris is a lot of traffic with open windows it is a little louder but when it becomes to mutch for you just close them! Overall it is a pretty nice stay for single persons and even young couples who like to stay in paris for 1-3 days and visit the City. For people who like to have a wellness weekend and like to stay most of the times in the hotel this is nothing but as I allready explained for people who just like to spend a good time (weekend) in paris and dont want to spend or cant afford to spend mutch more money this is a good stay. By the way I stood allready in Hotels where I paid about 50 Euros for the same standard!!! Ps. We left money on our room and havent had any problems (no one took it!!)

Room reserved and confirmed more than 1 month in advance. At my arrival, at 21:00, the booked room was not available and had to stay in a temporary room, very small, about 7 m2, only a small sink, no toilette, no shower, toilette one floor up, shower one floor down, water was dripping from the ceiling, water and draining pipes from other rooms through the room and very noisy. The following day I had the due room, better, with bathroom, but everything very, very poor, telephone out of order (no wake up calls). At my arrival, seen my disappointment and strong complains the receptionist offered not to charge me for the first (awful) night, as a compensation. The following day the manager (or the owner) wanted me to pay in advance for the full stay including the first night. I objected that his staff the previous night offered me not to charge me to compensate for the discomfort and I expected him to keep up with it. He first tried to neglect his staff decision and insisted on me to fully pay, then seen my strong disappointement and determination finally endorsed his staff decision and did not charge me for the first night. One more thing, my rooms were in 5th floor and the lift was rarely working. For sure I won't go back to that hotel.

I requested a Single Room for 1 person but I was placed in a room with 2 beds and a shower/toilet which was good. I was on the 5th floor. The lift is small for only 1-2 persons but did not bother me. The reception staff was a young lad who was welcoming and spoke some english. The room was a good size and had a t.v, large windows over-looking the street below. For the price I paid which was 32 Euros I cannot complain, however it would have been a perfect stay but the room smelled extremely bad of Cigarrete smoke which did bother me and I had to leave the window open all night! With the window closed, its pretty quiet but I did get woken up by the noise from Lorries early morning because I left the window open. I cannot stress how awful the smell of smoke was in this room. If it was not for the awful smell of smoke in my room I would have recommended this hotel for anyone including families, but unfortunately I cannot recommend it now due to it.

I stayed at De Belfort three nigts with my friend. The neighbourhood is safe to walk around in and with many restaurants, cafes and bakeries. The street is quiet at night, we slept very well with the windows open. Very close to metro station Rue St. Maur. Walking distance to city center. The big cemetery Pere Lachaise is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel room was clean, the shower had nice, hot water, the beds were good to sleep in. We got new, clean towels every day. The breakfast was ok (breadroll, croissant, juice and coffee/tea). Staff was nice and friendly. I will stay there again when I come back to Paris.

I stayed in Paris for 4 nights on a vacation from Italy. The belfort was a nice budget hotel and it was close to a larger max line and the Pere LaChaise cemetry. the staff at the front desk were always helpful and didnt mind whatever time of night i chose to come in. They had a lift as well as served breakfast. Cons: The room did have a certain kind of a musty smell and the walls had some stains. The quarters were cramped, and the shower, although clean was small and you had to step up about a foot to get into it. These however are minor things compared to the price, a quiets night rest and a cheap breakfast in the morning.

Friendly staff and good value-for-money rooms. Close to the Metro station (Pere Lachaise) in an area that feels safe to walk around. The Metro line is not the most convenient for getting to the standard tourist sights, but that was a price worth paying for a great value hotel.

In spite of the following sentence in the confirmation email "Payment is to be made directly to the hotel at the end of your stay", the employee wanted the stay to be paid on arrival. This is not kind in general, just because it was not said in advance (actually, the declared the opposite in the email). As far as the hotel, I agree with almost all other reviews.

This hotel is acceptable for someone traveling on a tight budget. It isn't in a very interesting part of the city, but most popular tourist destinations are a few minutes away via the metro. Our room itself was small and depressing. The shower curtain smelled like piss and the towels smelled like cigarettes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Maybe you can find something better for the price, but we couldn't
