Hotel Helvetia - Paris

Excellent location and three bed room size not bad for Paris. Clean but some noise from neighbouring rooms. Double glazing very effective. Bang next to Gare du Lyon metro station. Would stay there again for a couple of nights, probably not ideal for a longer stay.

The Hotel Helvetia is tucked in between two outstanding restauraunts and just a two minute walk from the bus station and parking garage, with a metro stop just out the front door. It was a perfect place to sleep and clean-up after exploring all Paris has to offer.

The hotel does not have airconditioning. The elevator frequently breaksdown. The staffs are not friendly. Very hot and very noisy. Paris hit 35 degrees Celsius and it was really very very hot in the room and noisy.

The person at the desk was unfriendly, and in the morning, when we had to descend from the 5th floor with heavy suitcases, he simply informed us that the lift was not working. No attempt was made to help two pensioners even down the last few, very narrow and steep, stairs.
