We booked for two nights, we only had a room for the second night. The Gotty Opera found us two rooms in a nearby hotel for one night and we were told that they would pay for the first night. We came back to the Gotty Opera for the second night, went to check out and we had to pay for both nights. We thought this was wrong as we were told they were going to pay for the first. Then they couldn't get my Credit Card to work, ran the payment through 6 times (all authourised by my bank) before it was accepted by the hotel. Not the most relaxing place we've ever stayed in. There were power sockets hanging off the walls all over the place, i dread to think what would happen in a fire, the quality and help from the staff varied as to who was working. We won't be going there again.

Terrible hotel. Dirty, and poorly maintained. Carpets are dirty and worn and cigarette ash overflows the ash trays in reception. I stayed in room 601, which was dirty with worn and filthy carpets. Wall paper was hanging off the wall and the bathroom was in a poor state of repair. I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances...

The worst thing that was in the hotel - objectionable odor of old furniture and old things.

They promised wireless internet, and they didn't deliver wireless internet. Be advised. This hotel is terrible. They did allow us to have breakfast, though (old bread + butter, and a glass of orange juice made from concentrate).

First time in Paris and first time with Venere. Hotel Opera Gotty was perfect for me, a single traveler. Room was clean, staff spoke enough English and were very helpful. I could walk to most places within 30 minutes and in the middle of the night

Rooms were not quite what we were expecting as per internet display, they were small and rather cramped. Bathroom was crowded, could only get to the toilet if you closed the bathroom door, the shower was a removable head/hose, but did not have a conection to the wall so in order to wash my hair i had to get my partner to hold it above my head, THe reception personnel were lovely and very helpful, once we found the place it was easy to get back to. A bit confusing and noisy, but over all, not a bad place to stay. 2 nights was plenty.

Me and my girlfriend arrived at 23:00 on thursday the 28 of september, and we were told that there was some technical problems in our room (so they said), so we had to spend the first night (out of four) in another hotel. But the day after we arrived at Gotty Opera 10:45, and we got our room 11:00, so that was quite fast. The room was normal size with a big window to a inner yard = no traffic sound and no sun shining in at 6 am. The bathroom was good and clean. They made the bed every day, and the towels were changed also. The bed had a good size and it was comfortable. We called the reception in the morning and had breakfast brought up to the room with no extra charge. The room had a good price and the hotel was in a good neighborhood, close to the Metro and several buslines. I can recommend this hotel.

This hotel is definitely not a 3 stars quality hotel. However, Staff, especially at front desk very helpful.// Cet hotel n'a pas le standing d'un 3 étoiles; cependant le personnel, notamment de la réception est très serviable.

It's a small and familiar hotel, very close to the restaurant areas and with good transport facilities. It seems to me very adequate for a week-end in Paris if we want a good relationship price/quality

We came during a heat wave. There is no aircondition in the room, but for us luckily windows on both sides of our room. So we survived We could not expect aircondition for this price, but perhaps it should have been noted that this was not provided in this hotel ? A friendly hotel, nice employees.

Gotty Opera was easy to find and close to a handy underground station. It was a nice base point for exploring the city. An internet cafe and a laundry mat are within blocks of the hotel. The staff was friendly but not all of them spoke English. Breakfest was very simple. Coffee or tea with rolls. No air conditioning but they gave us a fan upon request. The room was a bit noisy but a good pair of earplugs easily fixed the problem. The shower head is hand-held (not mounted on the wall) which was ok but a little odd to me.

When I arrived I was notified my room was unavailable due to a small leak in the bathroom. However, I was sent to a sister property called the "Royal Modoc" close by. Management apologized profusely and made accommodations for us to stay at the more expensive property for the same price. Room was a little small, like all the other hotels I've stayed at in Paris. Breakfast was great as well, and I was given a choice to use either properties's breakfast room, which was nice. Location was nice, close to Metro and lots of places for eating, shopping.

The hotel was located very close to the city in a quiet little street. the rooms are with old standard but very clean. the reception was always open and there was no question left. the is a garage 2 streets away with a special hotel tarif (3 days EUR 45). it was ideal for us in a quadropool room with a very cheap price. we would choose it again.

The serivce staff of Gotty Opera was friendly and willing to help. However, the towel was a little bit dirty and old, we would like to suggest them to replace a new one. Overall speaking, this hotel is worthwhile for the price.
