The hotel is in good position, near the city centre, even if the area isn't so quiet (a lot of 'strange' people during all the day and the night). It's better booking this hotel only if there is a special offer rate.

Very Expensive £150+ per night for a very shabby, very small room in a very dodgy neighbourhood. Transport links OK if you are prepared to walk the gauntlet to get there. Definitely NOT recommended for single ladies or families.

I was most pleased with the special reduced price offered (which made it a great value) for a non-smoking room, the quiet from the street and dark curtain (which is often a concern for this light sleeper), the in-room shower/toilet/sink, the A/C, the HD TV, the free E-Mail access in the lobby (albeit very slow), the helpful staff, the safe and phone in the room, the nice elevator, the vending machine offerings and the small library in the lobby, the proximity to the metro stop and the Gare du Nord. I was somewhat displeased with the relatively small shower size and mold on the shower door and lack of bathroom vent, the small size of the bath towels on most days, and the lack of a chocolate on my pillow (JUST KIDDING!).

We stayed in Garden Opera for 3 nights. Had some difficulty locating the hotel at first, but managed to do so without much trouble. We were welcomed warmly, and the concierge made an excellent effort to communicate with us despite us knowing only basic French. The price was a little steep, but that is a common trend seen in all Paris hotels. We liked the quaintness of it, from the little bedrooms, to the tiny 4 person lift and the decor of it was homey. The photographs on the internet were exactly what we got in the hotel, so that was a relief. All in all, a great stay with helpful staff and no unwelcome surprises.

Rooms medium clean, surroundings at night seem lone but security is good. Excelent accesibility to meter so you can move arround easily. Nice if you just want to sleep and visit the city.

This hotel was just mediocre and there are many better hotels to stay in Paris than this place that are reasonably priced. The area of the hotel, which is near the train station, was not good. It was just okay during the day but not at night. It is a very culturally diverse neighborhood and does not seem like you are in Paris at all. I would definitely not recommend this hotel for families or single women.

Inside the hotel, it's quiet. But,this hotel is located in the quite noisy area, with so many imigrants(non-French people). It's little bit dangerous, if you are woman, travelling alone. I paid for using internet inside the room.First day,I could use it. But next day, wireless system was broken,I couldn't use it and I asked them to discount the price of internet. Communications between staffs are not enough. One staff said A, but the other staff said B. So you should check carefully about everything by yourself. The woman who cleans rooms are not kind.

Within the hotel, everything is as expected, satisfied...outside, too noisy and a bit uneasy for family travelling, though easy access to anywhere in a hurry!

Hotel says it has Car Park but it does not. The room was just about big enough for the beds - not for us and the luggage. The area of Paris was not the best. The staff were nice and helpfull. But, in short I would not go there again.

The Hotel is very close to the Metro. The surrounding is busy, not very clean, but also not dangerous. Our room (4 beds) was narrow but clean. Fortunately we did not have much luggage. The breakfast was simple but good: 6 pieces of bread/Viennoiserie for each of us, butter, jam, coffee, milk + chocolate, orange juice for 6€! The welcome was a bit strange. I booked 2 rooms for 2 families and they could only find 1 reservation. After a few minutes of confusion they "found" the other one... I can recommend this Hotel for lower budget and short stays in Paris. It offers bed and breakfast in a reasonable quality.

The hotel and room was small but clean. The person working at the lobby was quite friedly and efficient. It was value for money. However, the hotel's neighbourhood was not very good although there are lots of supermarket and shops around. Overall, the hotel was quite ok.

This Hotel is perfect to visit paris with a not so big budget. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the best thing is that it is located really close from a metro station very close to Paris down town.

Le stanze non rispecchiano le foto su internet, in più la zona dove e' situato l'hotel è un quartiere malfamato di Parigi. Da cancellare.

We would not recommand this hotel because of the surrounding area and the service. We felt really uncomfortable walking from a metro station which was only 2 minutes away from the hotel. One of the staffs was really helpful providing us the information about the spots we should go. But at the arrival, we felt nervous when we found out that they had already charged on our credit card before we had arrived(almost a month before, according to the bank record!!), which never happened before using the service through this site. And they charged us city tax when we were checking out, which, we believe, they should have charged us with the hotel fee.

The hotel itself was in a very central location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. What was offered online and was the reality were equal in otherwords you got exactly what you saw. Neither myself or my friends found fault with the hotel. Good value for money.

A good, small, no-nonsense hotel close to the city that is good value. The metro station 100m away is on a line that always seems to go close to your proposed destinations! Unless I win lotto would stay there again.

We were surprised about the location. The hotel is very close to the Metro, so it really did not matter. But calling it close to the Grand Boulevards sounds better then it actually is.
