Hotel Gabriel Paris Marais - Paris

It's a nice design hotel located in a nice area but the rooms are really very small, may be good for a couple on weekend trip but not for a business traveller.

No hairdrier for a 4* hotel except a bootle of water no other service ; the detox concept is more a image than a service ; light above the bed too strong ; no light near the bed ; no electric to connect the computer when sitting at the little table ; floor in the bathroom not straihgt : water at the bottom of the toilets after a shower; price of the breakfast very expensive; copy of the credit card although the number has been already given by e-mailing reservation

Beautiful hotel with a few caveats: 1) The basic rooms are very, very small (uncomfortably small)-although extremely well-designed pay for the second category. 2) Don't stay in a 07 room as you'll be right under the staircase and hear people running up and down the stairs day and night. If it weren't for that the rooms would be super quiet. 3) The ventilation system needs to be fixed- it often blows air that smells bad (I mean bathroom air). 4) The management could be a bit friendlier...they set the tone for the other employees.

Our Stay at the Hotel Gabriel was perfect. The rooms were very well appointed but storage was a bit of a challenge for clothing. The staff certainly made up for this small shortcoming! They were extremely helpful in getting us oriented to the city and making very good suggestions to help us on our way. We stayed 5 nights with them. It was a very pleasant experience in deed.

Esthetitacally satisfying. One practical miss: there could be few more hangers for coats!

I really enjoyed this hotel and the design of the hotel was inovative, the amenities wonderful. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant and most helpful with luggage, requests. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in a not too touristy part of Paris, more like staying in the west village. Great little restaurants on rue oberkampf and canal st martin all within walking distance.
