This hotel is located near Moulin Rouge, so it is good if and only if you want to experiment night life, otherwise it is awfully noisy. And breakast has a very low quality and quantity vs price ratio

Michel & the gentleman who checked us in were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. I would've given a higher rating if not for the unfriendly, disinterested woman on reception in the mornings who was neither helpful nor pleasant to deal with. The location is great, up the street from the Moulin Rouge and the rooms are fair for what you pay. We really enjoyed Michel's company and would recommend staying there.

There was a problem when we were paying and the lady at the reception desk did not speak english and was not helpful at all, indeed very rude. Beside that the hotel is ok, room is spacious, bathroom is newly renovated, very clean. The price was very good for this quality, I would recommend the hotel.

Better than we expected, close to everything! The room was renovated, wich really surprised me. The staff was ok, they could be more welcoming though. They could be rude sometimes, but then it seems like its ran by a family, so you won't deal with Hospitality professionals. We stayed at the 6th floor and had to go up the stair from the 5th, but it wasn't a big deal for me, but I know some people might care - so just don't ask for the 6th floor. The other thing is that you can hear people next door on the corridors arriving or leaving the rooms early in the morning. Besides these details, wich I didn't care much, since I was on vacations, and only went back to the hotel to have some sleep. The bed was clean and confortable, wooden floor, cute decor, clean bathroon and fully renovated. I would stay there and recommend easily. Close to 3 subway stations, bus stations right nexto to the hotel, delicious boulangeries all around (even with prizes for the bagettes), supermarkets, pharmacies, fruit stands, cool bars all around, and less than 5 minutes walk to the highest part of Montmartre.

Globally pleasing, too bad the breakfast was so disappointing and kind of frugal too. Plus why did they have to insist on the fact it was a double room with only one bed twice on seeing we were two women???

The hotel had a very excellent location. It was near bus stops and near the metro station. All of these were just a few steps away. It was also very good because there are a lot of restaurants and even a grocery and some bake shops. The staff was average. It would've helped if they let us check in earlier than 2pm but I think that is already too much to ask, especially if the rooms are indeed not yet available. The room we stayed in was a triple room and it was ok for us 3 ladies. but for big people it will be a tight squeeze. the floor of our room was also not even. it was a bit slanting so we get outbalanced once in a while. The room also had a very tiny window and our view was a wall. anyway, the hotel is not expensive and is a very good price for Paris so it was still an excellent stay! BTW, DONT COUNT on the breakfast! They only have bread, cereals, butter, cheese, juice, coffee, and tea. For 7euros its not worth it. better go to starbucks for your breakfast.

This was our first stay at Fiat, but definately not the last!!! Great place to be, very good price for double room with shower and toilet, which is not easy to find in Paris for that kind of money and great location( Sacre coeur church, Moulin rouge, Montmartre... Thank you and we will be back soon!

Room with "view" to a small spacing between walls. Carpet and bathroom disgusting, electric lighting especially in the bathroom was dim (for a reason?). No light in the stairway, had to be switched on one by one on each floor and only lasted for 10 sec. (I had a room on the 6th floor). There seem to be at least 2 rooms on each floor with "windows" going to a spacing of 1 square meter, with no daylight. Ceiling in my room very low with cracks probably caused by water coming through. Location good. Staff friendly. Have been in 4-5 other hotels of this price category in Paris. Would not go back to this hotel even for a one night stay.

We stayed in the hotel during saturday night...! Though the hotel is quite good, clean and quiet, there were many people wandering throught the streets all night long, they were drunk and shouting... Pigalle is too close! We hardly slept that night!

Miserable staff. Female receptionist could not even be bothered to look up! Dark and dreary corridors. View only possible by craning your neck out the window and looking directly upwards to see a small triangle of sky. Tiny triple room with what was either broken biscuits or rat poison under one bed. My advice is to pay the extra £15 -20 per night and stay somewhere that will enhance your enjoyment of Paris, not hinder it!!

You get true 2-star hotel quality on the rooms. Its clean but its old. Staff is not friendly at all but they are somewhat helpful. Hotel surroundings are fine, two metro lines really near and on a walking distance to Opera and Montmartre. Since Paris is an expensive city this hotel defines the "you pay what you get" saying. Recommended (only) if you are traveling as a backpacker or such. If not, pay the extra 20€ and stay somewhere prettier and friendlier.

In general the hotel is just good but the relationship price/quality is good, employees are cold but it is cultural I am Latin they are not, the bed was not very comfortable since it was old, the localization is really nice, something funny when me and my brother check in we are sure they gave us the 308 room but when we returned at night the room has the 315 for a moment I felt in The Twilight Zone... If you have more budget I would recommend another place.

Don't book this hotel! Unfriendly and desinterested staff, the booked children's bed was not provided (they didn't even have one) and the room was mouldy at the windows and walls. Spend 20 Euros more and get a decent hotel!

The area is fun lots of sex shops and literaly around the corner from the moulin rouge. The room was small but ok if you just want a place to sleep. Dont bother with the breakfast it consists of a few bits of bread and costs 6 euro, quite the rip off! Accross the road is a good patissery with chocolate croissants that are very good.

I was here with a group of students and we had two rooms, both doubles with bathrooms. Overall pretty basic. We arrived early and they allowed us to check-in into one of the rooms, with no problem. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with the students. We did not purchase the breakfast at the hotel, rather we went down the street which was cheaper for the students. Overall, not bad at all. In terms of the area, it is not far from the Moulin Rouge and a main metro stop. We did a lot of traveling in Paris over the course of the three days and it worked fine for us. We had a late flight so they allowed us to keep our bags at the hotel until the end of the day before we left.

Owfull The first sight, while aproching, at night, in the taxi, was a neigbourhood badly iluminated, with plenty of sex shops and some quite drunk people. The clerk speaking nothing but french and some poor english, tries to explain you that you have to decide that night, if you are having breakfast at the hotel the following morning, so you cannot make plans on the run. Breakfast is not included, 6€, if you will. Once in the tiny elevator, in which we tightly fitted since we were two adults and two suitcases, we got to the last floor (5th) and found a door, easy to open if you "forget" the key. Once the door was open, some kind of moisture smell hit us right in the face (not appropiate for a romantic weekend, as it was meant to be...) a tiny room was appearing to our eyes (leaving both suitcases in the floor, there was only a little aisle to reach and open the window, through the room. THE BATHROOM... It was more like a cupboard with a W.C. A shower surface, instead of a tub, so you could not even take a bath. With some sort of green dust in the drain and mold in the shower itself. CONCLUSION: I would not come back even for free.

Small hotel but excellent helpful staff, the room had everything we needed as a base to explore paris. Its very convenient for the metro (Blanche) and just around the corner from the Moulin Rouge (well worth seeing esp at night) and within walking distance from Sacre Couer. Because of central location we were at the eiffel Tower within 20 minutes and at Disneyland within 1hour and 15mins (take the metro to Nation and the train from there). Only negative I have about the hotel is the staircase- its very dark so take the lift.Don't go here looking for luxury but its a cheap convenient starting point in central Paris- with a fantastic bakery opposite it!!!

I was staying in the hotel for one night only, but from the poin of wiev of a balance between its price and quality I would recommend it as a good place, especially for people from forme USSR countries. The hotel is located on a very quiet street, just five min. walking from a metro-station and Moulin Rouge and they have Russian-speaking staff. The rooms look seedy and small, it is the heart of Monmartre with its originality and attraction. Boulevards nearby seem to be known as "too much dirty and touristic" but the surounding will became cosy and romantic just after a couple of steps out.

I booked the hotel based on other people's reviews and I'd have to say that this is a good place to stay in Paris. I didn't feel that there was an overwhelming sense of seediness at all, but it's certainly not like the areas you'll find around the Louvre. I thought the location was great. The metro stop (Blanche) was really close and it's within steps of the famous cafe featured in Amelie, Café des Deux Moulins. Sacré-Coeur is nearby as is the Montmarte Cimetière. Nice place to stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fiat. The room was small, the WC door would not lock, and landing lights were not working all the time, but staff were good. The location is excellent for Montmartre and for transport anywhere. Local cafes and shops provided good food. As others have mentioned, the area to the north is either sordid or picaresque, depending on your viewpoint - but you can ignore it easily if you find it unpleasant. Considering the high cost of visiting Paris, Fiat was good value for money.

An excellent hotel for value and location - not so good if you want space and impressive decor. A couple hundred metres from the tube station and the Moulin Rouge with plenty of restaurants, bars ( and sex shops!) in the area. Did not feel at all threatened by the location - it is a very good base for sight seeing anywhere in Paris. I found the reception staff helpful, although when I asked for an extra pillow I was told that there may be one spare in the building, but when they went looking fo it they couldn't find it. The bed was comfortable and clean, as was the shower, but a lick of paint and some new tiles wouldn't go amiss. I would definitely stay here again.

We knew beforehand that this was a fairly simple hotel so I think the value for money was fair. We decided not to pay the extra 6 euros / person for breakfast and bought fresh bread and croissants every morning at the wonderful bakery on the corner opposite. I think this way we only paid 6 euros in total for the 5 of us!. There is also a good Monoprix supermarket close to the hotel for other groceries. Although not salubrious we enjoyed the liveliness of the surrounding area and felt safe, even with children, at all times. The road on which the hotel was situated was relatively quiet though. The metro was very close by and had good links to all the main sights. Also lots of adequate and inexpensive restaurants and cafes in the area. Had problems with the hot water in the hotel (sometimes had it and sometimes not) but maybe that was because our rooms were on the 6th floor. We were not too impressed when the lift broke down on the 2nd day and we had to manage the remaining 2 days of our stay without it. Still wasn't fixed when we left and 100 steps to our floor seemed a long way every time! But overall simple, bedding and towels were clean, interesting area (Moulin Rouge very close!) and fair for the money.

The staff was horribly rude, the desk clerk was so awful I canceled the rest of my reservation after the first night and stayed at another hotel. I have lived in Paris for 6 months before I stayed there when my fiancee came in town and had never experienced such blatant rudeness. The halls all smelled of smoke and the rooms were all very noisy, no sound proofing from the noise in the halls.

Perfect place if all you want to do is sleep. Not for families. No frills. Literally. But well located, metro stop is 5 minutes away on foot. Staff, is ok. If you speak french they tend to be friendlier, but overall stay was fair. Good corner store -monoprix, had some good croissants for 70eurocents.

We were a party of eight people, staying in three rooms. It's a simple but nice hotel. "You get what you pay for." But it's a clean hotel, nice personnel, great breakfast. Close to a very useful Metro-line. Though situated in the "red light-district" of Paris, we never felt uneasy or in harms way. Ours was a budget-trip and the hotel suited our needs perfectly. There were a variety of nationalities staying at the hotel. We are very likely to stay there again, if we come back to Paris.

The hotel is a typical budget hotel but better than some others I have stayed in while in Paris. The bathrooms are tiny! The service from some staff was great, while very poor from others. Overall it was pretty good. It is well situated close to the metro, and very close to great little shops and cafes in the Montmartre area, and walking distance from Galleries Lafayette and other department stores. Good place to stay for not too long.

Great for somwehere to stay for the night if you're not travelling with children. That's not a comment on the hotel, but on the surroundings. Wall to wall sex shops/shows; not something I'd want my kids to see. Room was clean, but basic. Only a single mains socket, so a bit awkward if you've a couple of phones or laptops to recharge. Would stay here again!

Ideal location in central Paris, round the corner from Metro and located in a quiet street until you open the window when traffic gets a bit loud. Bar next door, Pattisserie opposite and Moulin Rouge two minutes walk away. I wouil reccommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Paris for the first time, and I will be back.

I would fully recommend this as a budget hotel. Great standards, clean rooms and friendly staff. Only problem was that they didnt have a room available for us until almost 2pm when we marked that we would arrive at 12noon

I expected the worst - loud guests, street noise, seedy neighborhood, etc. - but I was pleasantly surprised to have none of that. If you are looking for an acceptable place to store your luggage and sleep and you do not care about decor or friendliness of staff, then this place is fine. Taxis are easy to catch - even at 4 a.m. - from just up the street. Don't rely on hotel staff to help out or even smile. Oh, and no hot water our first morning.

Nothing wrong with the hotel, but fairly unremarkable option at this price, and not a great location unless you are in Paris for the sex-shop strip. Strengths - convenient for the Metro, and room was quiet. Downside - room was small and pokey, and area is pretty seedy. We crossed town to the latin quarter for the second half of our stay in Paris, and had a much nicer, cleaner, and bigger room with view, with breakfast included for a very small increase in price.

The room I stayed in is small but ok. Metro 2 drop off at Blanche. The 6 Euro breakfast is terrible. You should avoid it.

I think is the worst hotel I've even been to... And I must say that I used to do a lot of business trips(at least 3 times a week during almost 2 years). The cleaning of the room was horrible and it had a strong smell of cigar. The bathroom was disgusting and badly cleaned. The view of the room was something too... It leaded to the internal court, if I could call that "hole" - from wich you could see the windows of the other rooms - a court. At night there was always a loud noise, sometimes from a TV, sometimes from a party nearby, most of the times from both. I don't know if it came from the hotel or the neighbourhood, I only recall that if I wasn't too tired from the day trip it could be a really problem - in fact one night my brother shouted from the window to get a TV turned off, and it was around 2 am... Another unpleasant problem we had was at the checkout. As our flight was going to departure really early the next mourning I informed the receptionist so to get us an cab sevice. He was very unpolite and demanded that we pay in advance insinuating that we would welsh it. The only benefits were the location - very near from Molin Rouge and thus the subway - and the price - in fact I regreted this choise and thincking now I would pay much more to get a better hotel...
