Lovely small hotel in a interesting part of Paris with much of interest in walking distance. The only thing missing from my room was the usual book on hotel services and how to access them.

Great location, beautiful room, view of Eiffel Tower is a plus. Room is very small but very clean and very modern. The room has a lot of personality!!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Duquesne Eiffel and would certainly stay there again. The location to the Eiffel was superb, only a 5 - 10 minute walk. Located in the 7th arrondisement was ideal for all our needs, close to restaurants, shopping and other tourist attractions. The room itself was small, like most of Europe, however was beautifully appointed and furnished. A suggestion to improve could be to include tea and coffee making facilities.

Clean linen and room. Hotel upgraded my room without extra charges. However, no daily update on whether and temperature, like most hotels do. Nevertheless, we enjoy our stay there.

This hotel was very nice. Looked like it had recently been remodeled. The room was very nice with double bed, it was a little small but typical for a big city hotel room. The room worked perfectly for me and my mom. You have an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower and are right down the street from the subway.

Room was standard European - small by American standards - but we had a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower that was simply enchanting. Walking distance to the Tower, and to nearby Metro stops made traveling a breeze. Great little Thai restaurant just next door. Main reason we wouldn't return is that we fell in love with Montmarche area.

The Duquesne Hotel made our Paris weekend perfect, from location to sights, restaurants, and the metro. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel, inside it was clean fresh and the breakfasts were fantastic also, we will return to the Duquesne in the future for sure. Locally the bistro's were also excellant, Comptoire au Sept served fantastic food from as early as 5pm and Fruits de Mer also have a great menu, both are very reasonably priced another would be Cafe Cler on Rue Cler where at the weekend there is a wonderful market you can stroll through and the shops have their own little stalls where you can try out cheese, pastries and much more. The staff were also fantastic, they welcomed every request with a friendly smile and greeted us every day we returned from our outings!

We were there in early Aug 08. The welcoming was very nice and the receptionist was helpful. I was a bit tiffed as they charged me more for the room with a view then what I was quoted but that was OK - it's Paris and it was worth it. The rooms were small but clean and beautiful. On the second night we had a view of the Eiffel Tower which was well worth it. The location is perfect with nice outdoor cafes for breakfast (why would you eat in the hotel when part of the fun is to sit and enjoy the atmosphere!) and very close to the subway. Free internet was also a plus. Suggestion for the hotel: Have at least 1 English TV channel!! Don't be so cheap.

Beautiful, modern and clean hotel. Nice rooms with the most comfortable bed I've slept in throughout my travels in Europe; good, large bathroom as well. Location is in a quiet street a few blocks from Invalides and the Eiffel Tower. It is not in as lively of a district as the Latin Quarter but there are a decent choice of restaurants a few streets away. Very close to a metro stop. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful with making restaurant reservations and arranging for our airport shuttle.

It was my first trip to Paris with my daughter. It was excellent, very nice and CLEAN hotel. We had the window inside the building, but it was an advatage - it was very quite. Absolutely perfect location - 5min. from Eiffel Tour and to metro stop to reach every important places. Very nice and helpfull staff. Generaly we had very nice stay in Paris (except the weather!) I will return asap to continue visiting this wonderful city!

This was our first family trip to Paris. We had booked a double room, but the hotel offered us (for the previously quoted price!) a triple room so that we didn't need to order an extra bed for our son. To our pleasant surprise we found upon our arrival that the triple room was in fact two adjacent rooms of reasonable size -- very extravagant! We thought that the location and the surroundings were good. Overall, we were very satisfied. We didn't use the breakfast option though.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Close to the Metro, close to restaurants and various sights. The rooms were great (although somewhat small) and the staff was very helpful. We had requested a triple for 3 adults and they were working on the room and gave us 2 ajoining rooms at the same price. Would definitely stay here again.

If you are trawling the internet looking for a hotel in paris (like i did for days). stop looking and book this hotel now you will not be disapointed. the hotel has undergone a face lift since the pictures on the internet and when we arrived we were very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist Lucie is very friendly and helpful. the location is within walking distance of most tourist attractions (about 5 mins walk fron the eiffel tower) and our room No 35 had a good view of the tower. We would definatley use this hotel again.

WOW what an amazing little hotel in Paris! We loved it!!!! While they can be a little touchy about promising a view (because EVERYONE wants one), if you get a room with a view prepare to be dazzled. Front desk supervisor is a little curt but otherwise she's pleasant and VERY competent. As experienced visitors to Paris, we consider this to be the best overall hotel we've stayed at in the city... excellent (although small, like most of europe) rooms, comfy beds with nice linens, some unbelievable views, fabulous location, very competent and knowledgeable staff, free internet, good value, reasonably priced in room mini bar, what else could you want? We did find the breakfast mediocre, but there's other options nearby...

Very nice hotel, we really enjoyed our stay. Nice to be so close to the Eiffel tower. Our only complaint would be that the breakfast (not included) was overpriced at 12 euros. It's easy though to eat breakfast at one of the nice cafes in the neighborhood.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. We had a room on the fifth floor with a view of the Eiffel Tower. It was very clean and seemed to have just been redecorated with a really nice tile and marble bathroom and a flat screen TV in the bedroom. While the room was a little on the small side (to be expected in major European cities) it was big enough for two of us and our two big suitcases. It was also very quiet - we did not hear other guests at all and I know the hotel was full. The location was excellent, you are just a few minutes from the Eiffel Tower and the Invalides and are steps from some cafes and a small supermarket. The staff all spoke excellent English and were very helpfull - they kept our bags after we checked out so we could still go sightseeing before catching our train. The breakfast was nice (and easy if you don't want to interpret menus first thing in the morning) but you can do better at one of the local cafes. Next time I come to Paris I will definately be booking a room at this hotel!!

I did choose this hotel from other's reputation, and they are right. We are three adult women and stayed in a triple room for 7days. It has a very nice city view, cleaness, helpful employees, location and space. For us, the only problem was the elevator. It's very small like others have. Then, only once, it "stopped working" when we were in. We were very scared but the employee handled it very promptly and made us feel safe. Over all, it was very nice stay, and if I have a chance to go to Paris, I definetly stay there again!

Excellent boutique type hotel. Though the room was small we found the quality of furnishings excellent. The area is lacking in restaurants...but the metro is close by. Great location if you like walking as both the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides are near by. We could even see the Eiffel Tower through the bathroom window!

At first we were impressed by the location (quiet avenue, walking distance from the Eiffel Tower) and the fact that the rooms had been recently renovated and everything was super clean. But later the true quality of this hotel was revealed. First, the air conditioning was not working properly, so the 2 rooms we had were a hot as a sauna. The very friendly but absolutely incompetent girl at the desk simply apologized but did not provide any kind of solution. We were basically told to grin and bear it, as it was a holiday in Paris and there was no staff to fix it. Changing rooms was not a possibility either. Later on the day, we asked for an iron, which of course was not available in the room. My husband was sent to a steamy room in the basement and had to iron his shirt himself, as again, there was no staff/laundry service available. The last straw was when, having tickets for the Opera, we asked Reception to book a taxi for us with an hour in advance. The girl said that it was not necessary to book it that early, as 10 minutes was enough. Of course, the taxi she called was over 15 minutes late, so we started to get worried and went out to the street to get one ourselves. Guess what? When we are sitting inside the car, already running late and risking missing the show we had booked months in advance, she ran outside to the street, opened the door, and demanded us to get off the car immediately as "she had already called a taxi for us and we could not cancel it". We replied it was her own fault as she had evidently called it too late, but she was mad and demanded the taxi driver to stop. Just then the other taxi arrived, and we were forced to get in it. By the time we got there, we barely had time to get to our seats a minute before it started. We were so stressed and shocked that the whole evening was ruined. Oh, and did I mention that the transfer she booked for us to pick us from the airport was ALSO 20 minutes late? To sum up, the administration of the hotel is c

Despite the small stature of this hotel, the staff provided excellent service that could be easily mistaken for a 4-star establishment. The use of limited space is effective and makes for memorable accomodations.

This was an awesome hotel with a great location and excellent service. And that coming from me is a big compliment. I can tend to be very picky and high maintenance when it comes to traveling, hotel stay, quality of rooms/bathrooms/showers, etc. And I must say, using venre.com was the right way to go. This website was actally recommended to me from my Italian friend who lives in South of France and uses this site for all his European traveling. I stayed in Paris for 4 days and 3 nights. If I had a bigger budget I would have definitely gotten a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. I got a smaller room, with no view, but it was very nice. I was impressed with the bathroom and shower. It was very modern. I did get a chance to take a peak at a larger room with a terrace and view of the Eiffel Tower....WOW!!!!! If anyone can afford it...do it. It's beautiful. The staff was very nice and very helpful. This hotel has a good breakfast (however I would recommend going out to the cafe's) and great interent and printing access. I would without a doubt stay here again. The price is worth the hotel.

The staff at reception was extremely friendly and helpful. One woman went out of her way to help us find a vegetarian restaurant, make a reservation and print us a map of the location. As always in Paris hotels, rooms were small, mattresses lumpy, walls thin, and breakfast buffet less than engaging, but there were plenty of cafes nearby for food and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was invaluable. The location is decent, about 15-20 min walk south of the Eiffel Tower and also about 15 min from Invalides - for the most part, you will need to use the subway to get around, but that is true of just about any location in Paris since it is a big city. The subway stop is about an 8 min walk down the street, where there is also a grocery store and several very posh cafes.

My room didn't have a real view of the Tower...unless I put my head out the window. However, I was in other rooms and their view was spectacular. If it is important to you, you don't want rooms 24 or 34. 25 and 35 have the good view.

The service at this hotel was outstanding. Really friendly and helpful staff the entire time. They were ready and available to answer any questions and make recommendations for transport, dining, night life, etc. The rooms are quite nice and a very decent size considering the usual standard in Paris. Be sure to request a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower when you book. It's spectacular sight outside your window at night. A party of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children. We booked a twin and double room for one night. Everything was as we had requested with the added benefit of the two rooms being separated from the main corridor by an additional door, making the rooms effectively interconnected, which gave our family added privacy when going from one room to another. The rooms were small but this is true of all older smaller Parisian hotels. The receptionist (Julie) spoke perfect English and was very helpful. We were able to park in the street almost right outside the hotel and as we were there in August the parking was free. The location was quiet and perfect for us as it was a short walk to The Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. A Metro station is also close by to get you in to other parts of Paris. An ideal hotel for a short stay in a great city.

Having no idea what to look for in a Paris hotel, I think we did pretty good with this choice. Rooms were clean and the location was good.

The facility was nicely kept and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower which was great. Our room however was a little disappointing not due to the size or the accommodations however. The room had a very strong perfume or air freshener smell to it. Perhaps it was a smoking room that they were trying to cover up the smell of smoke as we requested a non-smoking room. I am not sure. The fragrance was almost consuming. It made it difficult to sleep the first night. Three days later it was tolerable and not so strong. I am not sure if this is typical of a French hotel or not as this was our first trip to France. In general our stay was nice but would have been nicer had the fragrance not been there. It was necessary to leave the windows open all day and night which brought in the street noise too. I would likely stay at the facility again should I travel to Paris but would confirm that the fragrance within the room was not a typical practice. If so I would find a different hotel.

Great location! Very friendly to all of us, mainly to our daughter. The front desk staffspoke at least 3 different languages. The room was a litte small, but to Paris standards it was huge.

Thr room was a bit smaller than we had expected. The view of the Tour Eiffel could be seen if you stood out on the balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast offered if very good.

The room was great. We actually did have a view of the Eiffel Tower as shown in the photo on the website. I was thrilled at that. The breakfast was a pretty good value considering all that you got (eggs, yogurt, ham, coffee, cereal, etc). If you purchased it at a local cafe you would pay more. Convenient to a Metro stop.

Great value and location for Paris. Our fifth floor rooms had a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower. The front desk staff was especially polite and helpful. The one disappointment was the breakfast...it was a wonderful atmosphere, but very pricy for what was offered. We'd definitely stay again, however.

Schönes Hotel, zentrale Lage, Blick auf Eiffel-Turm! Leider schimmelige Wände, nur Tapete darüber geklebt. Schlechte Luft wegen Raumparfüm. Nichts für Allergiker! Sehr netter Service. Schön dekoriert.

It was a great stay we had in Paris. The room is really nice. We can see the Eiffle tower from our window. It was really pretty, espeically at night, my husband and I could watch the tower lighted up and it was just so romantic :) Also, the staffs are really nice and helpful. Plus the location of the hotel is near the major attraction. I will book this hotel for my next time

This hotel was one of the best I have stayed in in Europe. The steff was extremely helpful and very friendly. We stayed an extra three days because we enjoyed it so much! The price they quoted us on was a tad cheaper then what they originally charged us but they fixed it as soon as we brought it to their attention. This is a wonderful place. The rooms are small but that is how they are in Europe. You are not here to sit in a big spacious room....sightsee!

The hotel was in a good location, within 5-10 minutes of the Eiffel Tower, close to Metro stop. Management was wonderful, booked us at a wonderful French restaurant for my 60th birthday. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable, providing maps to anywhere we wanted to go. Would go back - only hope for better weather the next time!!

Un petit hotel coquet en plein mlilieu du 7ème arrondissement. A 2 pas du champ de Mars, dans un quartier calme avec des facilités pour se garer.
