My husband and I will return to Paris just so we can stay again at the Hotel Duc de Saint-Simon, which is charming and peaceful and romantic in the extreme. Not opulent, thank goodness, unless you count the sparkling marble bathroom, complete with tub. The hotel bar, housed in an old wine cellar, is a destination in itself.

Very well located on the left bank,easy walking to classic locations and shopping very quiet, easy to find. Staff speak excellent English, very helpful. Decor is very French Empire. My stay was 6 days in winter, the hotel was warm and cosy throughout. Room was a little small by New World standards but that's Paris. I found the cellar bar/dining area a little claustrophic but very well set up and furnished. Lots of restauarants/cafes within 20 metres. Missed not being able to make a cup of tea in my room - but again that's Europe. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

We love the location. We've been coming to the Duc de Saint Simon now for over 20 years and we like that it doesn't change!
