I loved the interior design of this hotel. The location was also pretty good, not far from the main sites. The price for the breakfast could have been a little less though..(12 Euro/person is a lot).I think that I would definitelly stay in this hotel again.

Very nice little hotel, probably the nicest 2 star that I've stayed in in Paris. Desk staff were very helpful, rooms very clean, newer decor which was really nice (no cracked walls or dirty carpets as I've found in some 2-stars in Paris). Very convenient to Monparnasse Tower and Metros, lots of cafes and bars in the area. I'd go back again without hesitation.

Except no lift from the entrance to the reception, this is a very confortable hotel. It was hard to find the place at first, but once you find it, you can notice the place is very convenient : near the station of Montparnasse, lot of restaurant around there although quiet. Receptionists were very kind.

This hotel was well-located if you need to be near Montparnasse (which we did). It is right on a lovely park on a quiet street. The room was very small but very clean. The reception desk is on the second floor but there is a lift from there to the rooms. The breakfast was worth it and the staff were welcoming.

The main problem is that elevator exists only within the hotel. Before you have to walk a lot.

I have been staying at the Hotel du Parc for over 25 years. I have always found this hotel friendly, clean, good value with very helpfull employees. The hotel is convenient for Metro stations, gare Montparnasse and for car parking.

Small rooms, but adequate for the price and location. Paris hotels are expensive...no getting around it! Clean rooms, welcoming and competent staff. Can leave luggage when you check out until you need it. Must carry bags up one flight to the reception, as there is no lift to the ground floor.

Nice little hotel in an excellent location, near Montparnasse Tower, Metro and Railway stations, but in a secluded street with a little park in front. I chose it mainly because of the comments on this site and I have to say I'm pleased with my selection. It is very much like many have described with smallish rooms and nice bathrooms, all very clean. A hotel to stay in if you are on a budget and all you have to do there is sleep. As an extra bonus, the continental breakfast is very generous in size, with orange juice, coffee, milk, baguettes and croissants, butter and marmelade, and at a very good price. The blocks around the hotel are filled with cafés and restaurants of all kinds and on saturdays, there is a market on a nearby street. There is also a nice supermarket (Monoprix) at the corner of the street. Two metro stations are very near to take you all over Paris. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget and not looking for 4 star type accomodations.

First time I've stayed at the Hotel Du Parc which faces onto a small, quiet square. March 2008 it was in the process of refurbishment and clad in scaffolding, however, our twin room although small, was newly renovated, very stylish and comfortable. Staff speak English and are helpful. Montparnasse is a convenient area for transport (once you know which Metro exit is closest). There's a huge variety of restaurants, shops, cinemas and museums nearby.

Location is excellent for bus to Orley and GDG. Rooms small by Australian standard but that seems to be the norm. Service and friendliness of the staff of a high standard. Room and bathroom very clean and bed comfortable. Would recommend as a budget stay.

A nice little hotel in a quiet street but with lots of cafe's and restaurants a stone's throw away. There's a lovely little patisserie just round the corner where you can take breakfast with the locals and the centre of Paris is 10 minutes away on the Metro. The hotel staff are terrific, and very welcoming. Street market nearby on Wednesdays. Recommended.

Hotel Du Parc is a lovely hotel at a great location. A supermarket is just around the corner, very short walk to the metro station, shopping center, and within one block there are many many restaurants to choose from. Our room overlooks a little park which is really nice. The hotel also offers free wireless internet connetion in the lobby (in the room it didn't work). Staff speaks good English and they're very helpful all the time. We had a sink problem and they fixed it right away. The room is a bit small but enough for a young couple.

Very small lift, and need to carry our luggages and climb a flight of stairs before reaching the reception. But other than that, very good location! Metro is just around the corner, supermarket (monoprix) is just opposite for stocking up on food and beverages, lots of small cafes around, and Air France is just walking distance away for transfers to the airport! Would recommend it. =)

A small hotel very nice situation opposite a small parc in a good area in Paris with many small restaurants and quick transport to the airports (Air France) from Montparnasse Station. A very lifefull but also partly quiet area in Paris where local residents find restaurants for normal evenings. Service at the hotel all night and exellent. A very good choice if you want to stay in real Paris.

It was a little bit difficult to find the hotel, but the location is really good, with a metro station nearby. The hotel surroundigs is good, with good supermarkets, restaurants and cafés, although one part of it don't have a good environment (sex shops, porno theather, strange people). The hotel is a little bit small, with a small room and small public areas. There is also a stair you need to use to access the reception (on the first floor), with no elevator for that first stair, just for the other levels of the hotel. Although it was prohibited to smoke inside the rooms, some pillows had a smoke smell. The mattresses were not good! The extra bed support for the triple room was broken, and it kept that way until the end of our stay, even though we requested it to be repaired twice! The staff is not very welcoming, and just one employee spoke fluent english. It was very hard to communicate with the others because of that. The breakfast was good ($5,50) and delicious!

A good value for Paris. The room was clean and quiet. Above average bathroom. Spent three nights here and would definitely come back. Paris is very easy to get around via train and walking. Train/subway stops just around the corner from hotel. Good neighborhood for food and fun, latin quarter is close by.

Albergo tranquillo, pulito e onesto A pochissimi passa dalla stazione di Montparnasse e dagli autobus che arrivano dagli aeroporti. Un albergo da ritornarci.

Excellent value for money if you are looking for a base for sight seeing. Not a plush honeymoon hotel, but very clean with comfortable beds and a very reasonably priced breakfast. beating the local cafes. Excellent choice of resonably priced restaurants surrounding the hotel, catering for every taste, as well as a large shopping centre. Only yards from the nearest metro station and a very short distange from the main railway station/ Metro interchange of Monparnasse. Excellent value for money, we will certainly be using this hotel next visit.

Stayed 5 nights with teenage son and daughter. Extra bed for 6' son was about 3' too short. Our room was at the back of the hotel, so noise was at a minimum. (We had asked for a view room, this at the back, had a view of other rooftops at best.) Although bathroom and beds were clean, rug had stains throughout.Hotel had lift, however, you had to climb one story by foot to get to the reception desk and where lift was located. Rated the room average. BEST feature: Location was great if you like an area (14) where there are mostly local people, few tourists, few monuments. Restaurants in the area fabulous, one of a kind clothes stores, great coffee shops and metro less than a block away, major metro stop two blocks. Would look for another hotel in this area next time.

For an inexpensive two-star hotel in Montparnassse, an excellent value. Made my stay happy and uncomplicated. The receptionists were formal but very helpful. I will definitely stay again - perhaps not with a loved one (it doesn't have the touch of luxury) but when I come on my own. For the rooms which have no en-suite bathroom, there is only one shower in the halll which is very small (and clean) so it may be inconvenient for some.

We love such a typical Frech Hotel. It is perfect with this small hotel so central situated, and quiet close to the little park. We will return!

Initial impression was that the hotel was very small and possibly tatty, but you needed to look beyond that. The sanitary areas were spotless and towels and sheets clean and fresh. Staff very welcoming and helpful. The safe deposit box in the room was a useful facility. My room was tiny, but then I only wanted to sleep in it! Breakfast was good value for 5 euros (2005). Location in the heart of Montparnasse was ideal. I'd definitely stay there again.
