Hotel Du Nord et de l'Est - Paris

For a budget hotel, this place is great! Accessible because it just a few minutes away from a metro station (Oberkampf).

Perfect location - 2 min to Metro and patisserie, cleanness. We had very good luck - our neighbourhoods are quiet and peaceful, but it's warranted never and the room walls are "paper-thin"...

In general we had a good stay at this hotel. The hotel is comfortable and good value for money. The only mild criticism would be that the staff are efficient but not particulary welcoming. A smile costs nothing!

Great value. Nice clean room; good location..close to the Metro and dinning places.

The suite (two adjoining bedrooms for a family) we had worked out quite well for one night. This two-star hotel was surprisingly new, clean and well-equipped. The staff were polite and professional. While the neighborhood was nothing special, all in all this was a good experience!

I think Hotel Du Nord et de l'Est was an excellent choice for our stay in Paris. I thought the room we stayed in was extremely clean. The staff were very friendly and pleasant, despite our lack of speaking french. I am unable to comment on the breakfast, although I wish I would have tried it, since 9 euro seemed to be a good deal on a Sunday morning.

Good value for money hotel. Excellently situated for exploring Paris sites. Especially good for the pedestrian areas between Rue Rivoli towards the Marie. Breakfast ok but we found it more fun to use the surrounding Cafes.

First time stay. Hotel is really 2 star. Our room with double bad was very small, but for us was it enough. We needed room only for sleep. The best think is location. Is close to center, 50 meters to metro station. 30 meters is bakery and supermarket. Staff was friendly.

We stayed in two double rooms five days. The rooms were exactly those seen in the photos. The surroundings are very useful because of the presence of Place de la République with five different lines of the metro, the pharmacy, a market, McDonald's and a lot of pubs and restaurants. Very good!

This hotel is in a good location, handy to metro, walking distance to central Paris. There are many restaurants near. However, room could become very hot in summer. No air conditioning. Good value for the location.

Good average priced hotel. The only negative I could point to is the thin walls. I could hear the TV in the room on one side and the person who seemed to be a world champion snorer on the other. Neither was loud enough to keep me awake, but it was distracting.

Our room was actually much bigger than we were expecting, by European standards. Each of the staff members we spoke to were very personable and courteous, but there was a wide range of English spoken there. That being said, every request we had was met with our combination of broken French/English. The hotel is a great combination of quaint and modern, spacious and cozy. The free internet worked well, except for just a few hours over our 6 day stay. Plenty of free wifi in the shops around the area, though. Any tiny quirks (such as the curtainless shower!) were much welcome as tiny challenges of the French culture. In short, we felt very welcome and comfortable there, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. So sad we left!!

Convenient location, comfortable rooms. Very welcoming staff. Would stay here again.
