Hotel Reviews Doisy
Mature couple
Switzerland, Oct 2009
Nice recently renovated hotel on busy street with very quiet rooms on the backside. Everything is new, breakfast in bright room with patio is 12 € extra. Rooms are quite small, bathroom in our comfort room was with shower only. Very good hotel for just sleeping. For Paris the average rate of 160 € for 4 nights including Saturday with twin beds is quite good.

Ci ritornerei.

do we really need to pay for our luggages?other hotels have luggages holding area for those who come early of checking in time and for those who check out but still got time to roam around before heading to the airposr for their flight?

The people who work in the hotel are excellent. The place of the hotel is perfect, near of the Arc Triunphe and the best lines of metro in Paris for moving in Paris.

I had a very nice newly renovated room with a perfect bathroom. The staff were nice and helpful. There were a renovation going on during my stay so the entrance, hall and staircase were a mess but it was ok because the room were very good! I didn`t eat breakfast at the hotel so I don`t have any opinion about that. I would definatelly come back! Thank you for a nice stay!

The hotel was in "re-work" and was an "opne building site". The entrance was very poor and dirty but... the room was enough big, renew and clean but, I hope, not already finished (it was without wardrobe). On the end the breakfast was very poor.

terrible. the recepcionist stinks and the hotel is falling down. They lie on the site, the room´s door dont open easy, the hotel like a 5a. category prostitution house. Don´t go there anyway. I give up to stay there and the pigs charge my credit card.

Firstly the staff were generally friendly, however we had a number of complaints about the hotel, the rooms were very dirty and very small, we had booked a twin room, yet on the first night they gave us a double room as they booked out our room, which we booked 2 months in advance. On the 2nd night when we were given our correct room, the situation was no better, the floors were dirty, the window would not lock shut, the railing outside the bathroom window was broken, (a major hazard to anybody with small kids) a copper pipe was protruding through the floor. The Bath was a disgrace, no plug for the sink, both chairs in the room were broken. We would not recommend this hotel.

I am sorry to say that we had to leave Doisy after one night. The facilities offered were not according to what is given in the venere web pages. The air conditioning is not functionning, the toilet in our bathroom was rocking when we sat on it, the ventilation outlet in the bathroom was dirty and so on.

The room is very tiny. The back of the chair is broken. The safe did not work for the first three days. The door was left unlocked after the room was cleaned.

As I'am quite young, 25, they gave me the most pityful room of the hostel. Minibar was heating the whole room at 35°C, the television was broken because 2 channels (canal+ and M6) were not availiable and the climatization was broken and didn't work. Clearly, the price was really too expensive for the service given. I really don't advice you to go there.

The location of the hotel is great because it was close to the bus stop for Beauvais airport but the hotel is a bit degraded (the floors were slanted).Overall for the price of 55euro per night, the room was acceptable.

When I arrived at 14:00 o'clock, the room was not cleaned, and Hotel receptionist didn't tell me that. I think it's not kind from hotel side. And also he didn't explain anything.

We spent 2 nights at the Doisy, and we were very pleased with our accommodations. Carolina speaks English very well, and she was also very helpful. The bakery next door (owned by an American woman who is also friendly and eager to see Americans!) was our first stop each morning. I will recommend Doisy to anyone who wants to be within a few blocks of Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees!

Hi we choose the Hotel because it's one of the cheapest in the zone and we choose a place near Port Mailot where the Bus from Bauvies Airport arrives and leaves. I think that 70€ per day without breackfast is too much for this little hotel, It's 200m far from metro (Ternes or DeGaulle)... but in 15 minutes you car reach the Triumph Arc.
