Hotel Des Deux-Iles - Paris

As we were only in Paris for 1 night the hotel was in a fantastic location. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and bars, with some lovely shops nearby. The receptionist in the morning was very friendly and helpful and we would love to visit again.

Price, quality and size of rooms were all okay because it was Paris. The hotel is brilliantly located for tourists and that makes it worth the expense. One member of staff was particularly kind and helpful when my daughter and I were robbed on the Metro.The room we had booked was not available the first night but we were moved the next morning without a fuss. I would happily stay at Hotel Des Deux Iles again.

Charming French style boutique hotel in an excellent location. Bathroom was so clean and stylish and the breakfast room (self serve) decor had that element of French provincial about it with a fireplace and stacks of wood. A nice mix of contemporary and traditional design. Also a very safe area of Paris and close to the Notre Dame should you want an early morning stroll before breakfast. Step into the street and you have Fromageries and Patisseries and place to eat at your doorstep. Would definitely return. Regards, JMT

Although there was an ashtray in the room and no no-smoking sign, I was told off for smoking in the room. Perhaps this could be signed better and ashtrays removed.

A group reservation was originally made at the Des Deux-Iles by a friend for a 2 night stay. When I decided to extend my stay in Paris, I made a separate reservation (months in advance) at the hotel for an extra day. When I arrived, I was informed that they were unsure if I intended to stay an extra day and did not reserve the room. They were now fully booked and would have to move me to their nearby sister hotel (Lutece) for the extra day. Very disappointed since they room at the Lutece was not as nice as the one at Des Deux-Iles and they had ample time to contact me to confirm my reservation.

I have been to Paris perhaps a dozen times and this was my first stay at Hotel Des Deux-Iles. I will return to this hotel.

This hotel is absolutely fablous! Awesome! As we needed to save money, we grabbed our dinner from ouside, however, they were willingly to allow us to use microwave and even offered to provide to tray, dishes and folks, spoon etc. to eat at ease!! The location was also great! It's residence area, calm, and available to communicate with local French. They were pretty friendly and sweet. I alwasys asked the hotel staff how to say in French and tried to talk, so I could make friends and they seemed impressed about it. All the staff of this hotel has great hospitality. I would like to give 3 stars if I were Michellin.
