This is a great place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and spacious. About 1/2 the hotel seems to have been refurbished and all the photos are of the refurbished rooms, so our room was a bit of a surprise but it was still nice. What would make this place ideal is a small bar in the hotel - I always appreciate somewhere to relax with a coffee or glass of wine at the end of the day before going out for dinner.

This was our second visit to the Hotel des Batignolles and we weren't disappointed. A clean comfortable room, friendly helpful staff throughout and a brilliant location. Lots of great places very nearby to eat and drink, and within comfortable walking distance of Sacre Coeur, Galleries Lafayette and many other Paris landmarks. Good value for money.

The hotel was small just 2 floors. The location was 10min walking from the train station ROME but we gotta ask around how to get to the hotel because the hotel doesn't specify how to get to them (just till the train st). Going to the attractions are not far and is easy taking the metro. Arriving to the hotel, the receptionist wasn't friendly & unprofessional but still he please us with the room requested (but gave us a HUGE speech). The rooms are small but for the price you are paying was good. There is no elevator. Wifi is provided free of charge but a bit slow. Housekeeping and service breakfast ladies were friendly!!! Is a continental breakfast. Overall, if you just need a place to stay just to sleep is good. If you need a good service forget it.

First time to this area of Paris and to use the Metro on a large scale. Closest Metro Station is Rome which is 5 mins walk from hotel, great fun working out how to get into Paris but once mastered it was easy. If traveling often simpler to get a carnet of tickets (10) ONe ticket per person anywhere in the metro system once you go out that is it is finished. Shops all around. Breakfast we took at the Bar just up the street instead of at the hotel (it was cheaper) also on the way to the metro. Walking distance to Moulin Rouge an dit felt like a safe environment. Found a lovely restaurant called the Bistrot Cockney - excellent food.

Rooms are small, and we got first a really overused room. We asked for a new one, and got it. Cleaning on the corridors was a little disturbing. The rooms were clean, but there was mildew in the bathroom. But we loved the hotel for it's kind little hall, and the old-fashioned corridors. And it's in a quiet and nice, and near to the metro street.

We got what we paid for - a small and rather run-down room in an outlying area for a low price. That was what we contracted for and we have no complaints. Suitable for those who want to be in that part of Paris and for those on a restricted budget or not needing much in the way of facilties - perhaps because, like us, it was for one night only.

In spite of indicated location on your website we confused this hotel with another one nearby named Batignolles as well. It would be handy to let people know about it so that they would get to the right one. The hotel itself very pleasant. Our room was quite spacy, fresh towels every day, tv with selection of channels in different languages, very comfortable beds, extra pillows and cozy blankets. Furnitures quite cheesy though:) And some noisy sounds in the mornings. Overall a positive impression.

We spent in the hotel 4 nights, and we were quite satisfied with everything. As we were on a business trip it was important for us to have wi-fi Internet, and it works very well in the hotel rooms and was free. The hotel rooms are quite spacious, and the surronding area is good. My room looked at the street, and sometime it was a bit noisy, but late in the eveningn and at nights it become OK. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the hotel met our expectations.

We had a 3 bed room (1 double, 1 single) with a bathroom included. Room was not so small as we expected. Good connection to station Gard du Nord with Metro. Sacre-Cour available by foot (20min), City centre by Metro (10min). We were the whole day in the city and used the hotel mainly for sleeping. We were very satisfied and would book again.

Upon my arrival, I was given a key, for which the room was already occuppied by other people. I sitted at the front desk and waited for 15 mintues, while the employee was trying to figure out why. I guess i was given another room that was booked under other people's name, since 20 mintes after I checked in, there were two girls sitting at the front desk without a room. However, the room was clean. Not small in Paris. Nice surroundings. Good price.

It's a very nice hotel for a short stay! I would not recommend the breakfast for 7,50€, on the way to Place de Clichy are serveral bistros and brasseries where you can enjoy a typically café avec croissant for 3€. The rooms are a little bit noisy because of the way french houses are build. The walls are very thin so you have to hear your neighbours. But the hotel itself is situated in a exceptually quite and charming area, although the crowded Place de Clichy is only 5 - 10 min. walk away.

We are 3 young travellers from Bucharest and we have stayed in a tripple room here for 4 nights in December. It was pleasant. The location is good (5-7 mins to metro stations); also are the services. Maybe I'm too used to romanian hotels breakfasts but in my opinion the one at this hotel was small (tea, croissants, butter and jam was all). The personnel was very nice and welcoming. The problems were: noise (because of the street) and a little dropped water on the floor in the bathroom from a broken pipe. On average the hotel is good. Taking the price into account, the hotel is excellent.

We just loved the location. Many different options for food, cafes, stores, supermarket, pharmacy. Excellent location. Really! The service was extraordinary. They continuously helped us look up information on the internet and suggested alternatives when what we wanted to do was closed due to renovation. Both receptionists were kind and helpful and spoke very good english. The room was small but clean and completely what we expected. I asked for a room overlooking the courtyard and was given one that had a beautiful tree just outside our window. Fantastic! The only mix up came when we went to pay the bill and the price that was quoted on volgratis was not what they had written on the bill. Luckily (of course) I had printed our reservations with the price breakdown on the document and there were no problems after that. Great place and we would definately stay there again.

This hotel had great service, very friendly and helpful staff. It was a good location for travelling to the Tourist spots. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Paris for a weekend tourist break. However the rooms are very basic and old so don't expect luxury. There is no Bar or restaurant in the hotel but there is a very nice reasonable restaurant/cocktail bar across the road to the left of the hotel (can't remember the name!) We love this place! The Batignolles area of Paris is the perfect location for a short or extended stay. It is in a nice intimate neighborhood with small shops and restaurants. There is fantastic warm baguette across the street and a small grocery store on the corner that saved us a lot of money on food. The hotel has a lovely courtyard where we ate most of our store-bought meals. The Metro is a short walk and very convenient to nearly all parts of the city. Montmartre is a nice morning walk from the hotel and Sacre Coeur is visible from most locations. There is no lift and no air conditioning, so people with physical difficulties might have a hard time. Our window opened on the courtyard so leaving the window open at night kept us cool and noise wasn't a problem. The hotel is also rather old so don't expect sterile Hilton-style rooms. The place has character and shows it's age but adds to the experience of a stay in Paris. We will go back.

Clean good quality hotel at an affordable price. The younger members of staff are very friendly the older ones less so. For example when paying our bill the older guy on reservation wouldn't accept anything but the correct change, our bill was 272 but he wouldn't take 290 which is what we had in cash!we had to leave, break a 20 in a shop and return to pay the bill with the exact amount! perhaps he had no change but he did not indicate this to us in anyway, just telling us, deadpan, that he wouldn't accept the anything but the exact (272 euros) amount. Apart from that the hotel was fine clean good quality and affordable, and the younger members of staff, particularly the girl, are very friendly with superb English and are highly helpful and competent.

This is a very nice hotel for the service is excellent, staffs are helpful, cheerful and can speak very fluent english. The double bedroom is nice, spacious, clean and comfortable, you can also have an english channel-BBC there! I've stayed in various 2 to 3 stars hotels in Paris, this is the best one I've ever stayed into, some of the hotels claim to be a 3-star hotel, but actually not and even much worse than this one! It's true that the hotel is a bit far from town, the nearest metro station is Rome on the No.2 line, takes you about 5mins walk back. The surrounding is super quiet cuz it's in a residential area, a big difference from those hotels near the busy Opera house area. I will defintiely stay in this hotel next time, it's inexpensive but surprisingly nice! We travelled to Paris on a relatively tight budget and with our 16 month old little girl & me being 6 months pregnant. The property was welcoming and the staff could not be faulted. If you don't speak very good French, then they are only too happy to help you out or converse in English with you. We have to say the service was exceptionally good! Positives: We asked for a travel cot to be provided and a brand new one awaited us complete with what appeared to be brand new bedding. We stayed in a room on the ground floor which lead out onto the leafy courtyard, with no neighbouring rooms that we could see. This was great as we didn't have to struggle with any stairs and felt quite secluded. A must if you have a small child. The room we had was very spacious & immaculately clean, and if we're honest, better than you would expect for the price. Set back from the road you have hardly no traffic noise. Excellent service & very friendly! Great value for money! Good room & very clean. We are going to go back next year as a couple and would definitely stay here again. Cons: Hardly none, I must admit. The public areas are comfortable but small and we opted for breakfast in our room. I personally would forego the breakfast since it is additional to the room price & Paris has an abundance of cafes and brasseries for the same money but better choice, obviously. However, the breakfast is good. We were worried that it may have been close to the Pigalle district, but don't worry it's nowhere near and the best metro stop to use, we found, was Rome. Don't get confused with another hotel of a similar name on the same street! Look for the florists as this shop is in front of the hotel. Things to note: The journey from CDG takes you to Gare du Nord and then the metro system to Batignolles. The journey once in Paris to the hotel actually took longer than the whole flight. If you're travelling with kids bear this in mind and plan the route carefully! Also the
