This hotel is in an excellent location, close to Rue Lepic, Place du Tetre and Place des Abbesses for bistros and shops and close to Abbesses and Blanche for the Metro. It is a good hotel to use as a base to explore Paris, but not to spend much time in except for sleeping. Our room was a superior twin room facing Rue Tholoze. Unfortunately we had to choose between roasting at night with the windows closed (no air-con) or not sleeping because of the noise of people and traffic until the early hours. The hotel staff all spoke excellent english and were very helpful. There is free internet access (as well as wi-fi). The breakfast was normal buffet, but perfectly adequate, although at 10euros maybe a bit expensive. Also check if your room booking includes breakfast otherwise you may be in for an expensive shock at the end of your stay. We would use this hotel again, but only if we could have the same quality room with less noise.

We were very impressed by the room, its size, the staff, and the quaint neighborhood. Will come back again. Had the room with balcony, which was extra special treat. Highly recommend.

The hotel is in a great location - a quiet street just off the buzzing, interesting strip that is Rue Abyssess. This area has great cafes, bakeries, close to metro stops including the gorgeous Abyssess station and is not too touristy - you can really feel that you are in an authentic french neighbourhood. If you've been entranced by the movie Amelie you will love the location of this hotel.

The hotel is very comfortable and close to the Metro and also many restaurants. The room I had was a twin but I booked as a single with very little luggage. It was very small and would have been difficult for 2 people to share if they had much luggage. It was on the ground floor close to the elevator where at times you could hear people talking. The breakfast room was very bright, buffet style with juice, toast, hard boiled eggs, cold cereal, yogurt, french bread and pastries. I really enjoyed my stay there, I thought it was very good value for the money and would stay there again.

THe room I had (no: 1, the "Toulouse-Lautrec" room)is situated directly in front of the desk, next to a waiting room where a jukeboxe played all day long and offer a view on the garbage of the hotel. Besides, the breakfast is for anorexics only, even by european standards. This room has ruined my stay in Paris. Have I had been in a different room I may have liked the Hotel.

Booked Hotel des Arts for 23-26 March from good reviews on various travel sites. E-mailed hotel prior to departing and they replied that the booking was OK. On arriving was told that the room was been “renovated!!” and that I was booked into another hotel in the area. On apology, nothing. Seemed like this was normal procedure for them.. On investigation on Trip Advisor forum it seems that this hotel is notorious for “walking” people to other hotels in the area!! . This hotel seems to be a victim of it`s own success as it only has 30 rooms? . Be aware, book this hotel at your peril PS As it was the other hotel was OK

For Paris the price is ok. The location on Montmartre is splendid, 2 Metro stations in walking distance, cafes and restaurants a wink away.

As a young couple, we found that Hotel Des Arts is the perfect match for people who want to reside in Montmartre: a short walk from Abbesses, Blanche and Clichy - three metro station in the area - is also convenient for walking on top of the hill. Not to mention its peculiar atmosphere, warm and cozy. Rooms are clean, albeit a little small, but you just have to sleep...

The breakfast needs to be improved, not really a continental breakfast so a bit expensive, 10 € per guest.

Real Montmartre feeling: Little rooms in a little hotel, many food shops and restaurants nearby, metro station nearby, Sacré Coeur within walking diatance. Quiet room looking into a very little courtyard.Breakfast o.k. If you plan to travel with your car first go to the multi-storey car park in the Forest street (GPS device nessecary!!!) and then by foot ca. 300 metres to the hotel.

Our first stay at Hotel des Arts. We were told on checkout that we had the largest room. It was a dormer room with a sloping ceiling and a TV suspended at eye-height from the sloping ceiling. This made moving around the small room a bit hazardous! Otherwise a great stay.

We did not have current water the night of 24th in our room, and no solution was given to us. We only had the breakfast for free the 25th ( 16 €).

First time in Paris.. Location: Best connections from Orly Sud was the Air France bus. Even in Rush hour the bus has it´s own lane an goes directly to montparnasse or invalid. Then you just a need a few metro stations (many stairs!) and you are at the hotel. Best is to travel to Abesse, there is an elevator! If you stay in Montmatre it is perfect. Near the Eiffetl Tower or somewhere in the finance districts there maybe big hotels, but nothing else in the evening. And in montnatre you have everything all people travel in the evening an during the day to.. in fornt of your door. The hotel: Very clean and nice rooms and very communicative walls... you will hear your neighbors very well.. ;-) but! it doesn´t really matter, the hotel is so romantic in the middle of montmatre that the thin walls will not bother you.!! , the staff ist very friendly and nice and the best ist the tourist´s highway is not at your front door. The street and the backside are very very silent in summer you can sleep with open window (when you have your window on the backside). Sourroundings: During the day it is teh same as in the film. One shop with fancy food after another and believe me.. you will get hungry there! In the evening all you need is around the hotel. You will get recommonadtions of good restaurants in the sourrounding from the hotel, and they are really good, and some are still not listed in some city guides. That means not too many tourists but more locals. Travel: in 5 minutes you are at the metro blanche where moulin rouge ist locates, in the next street is the cafe in which "Amelie" was filmed and the other next street rue abesse leads to a nice place (metro station abesse) where you can find a very good and nice boulangerie. If you book without breakfast you can go for a typical french breakfast in some boulangerie on the way to the metro. You will just feel like a local after some days.. :-) Have fun!

I stayed in the hotel just for one night which i wanted to be very romantic, and it really was. this place is very very nice, the staff was very helpful and welcoming and the room was cozy and comfortable. we didn't try the breakfast though but i find the price very competitive. i would definitely go back. if i have to say anything bad, i'd say i missed a toothbrush, i think just the soap and the bath gel aren't enough.

Room was small but clean and quiet. I would like to have free drinking water in the room and disposable teeth brush... Breakfast was OK, but some choice of sausages or ham would be a good plus.

Hotel situated close to our favourite part of Paris, near the Sacre Cour. Hotel easy to find clean, and we thought good value for money. Would definately stay there again.

The room and bathroom were quite small, but the shower was pretty wide and comfortable. Very nice place, on the whole.
