I stayed for just one night. Decoration of hotel and rooms excellent. Very comfortable bed. Best shower I've ever had in a hotel room! The staff were very welcoming, provided a map and gave personal information about the surrounding area, which was charming. I'd definitely return.

A value for money gem in the Luxembourg quarter of Paris. Stylish, artistic and welcoming. Beautifully maintained and staffed. Breakfast, continental style, is ample and of very good quality. Location is good - convenient and pleasant, although the street itself is undergoing works presently. Our room was quiet and tiny, but layout made the most of what was available. The queen size bed and linen was very comfortable. Don't expect much from French TV or available cable channels. The complimentary bottled water and macarons on arrival were a lovely touch. We would definitely return.

The room is small for the price. And I don't like the idea of having the toilet in a separate space from the rest of the bathroom.

This hotel is on a quiet street in a wonderful area of Paris; two Metro lines are nearby. There are many restaurants to choose from, as well as shopping and pastry shops. We will use this hotel again when we stay in Paris. The reception desk was very helpful with recommendations. We have been to Paris several times before but the staff would be very helpful to those visiting Paris for the first time. The staff spoke several languages including English. The room was on a high floor which is what we requested; it was small but workable for us; the commons areas and breakfast room were well-decorated and pleasant. We had breakfast in the hotel twice; the pastries were wonderful and the meal included juice, frut, yogurt and tea or coffee. Everyone was very accommodating. We highly recommend this boutique hotel whic is a short walk from the Luxembourg Gardens.

We chose this hotel because of the great reviews. And it lives up to (or exceeds) every one of them. Paris is a VERY expensive city. But for just a few Euros more than the cost of staying in a basic standard Mercure or chain hotel, you can stay at des Academies et des Arts. Push yourself. It's worth it! Only slight negatives: Our room was a little small (yet still the biggest on our floor). But this is Paris, remember! Space is tight everywhere. And the amazing designer taps in the bathroom, although beautiful to behold... were just quirky. (My definition of quirky is "hard to work out how to use." From the pictures on this site, you'll see the hotel's distinctive interior design (The artists model art is very well done. It's everywhere. Even in the lift shaft. And outside your window. Can be spooky at night). Well, this is the first Hotel we've ever stayed in that smells distinctive too - like it has been steeped in its own signature scent. A cross between soft incense and pleasing floral notes, the scent is not just in the shower gels and soaps. Don't know how they waft it through every corridor, but somehow they do. Breakfast was beautiful with a basket of pastries, the best orange juice I've ever tasted, fresh fruit & yoghurt. The hotel staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Everything is clean, ordered and interior designed to a very high standard. Fantastic position (5-10 mins walk from the Seine and all attractions.) A great hotel. Go on, treat yourself.

This hotel lived up to expectations. The staff are extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed and important (instead of being shoved aside, we were greeted and taken through a map of the city to help us find our bearings). We would definately stay here again as the location was great for walking and there are 3 metors very close to the hotel. The rooms were spotless and very modern. Although small, it had everything we needed and more.

I love this place. It is rather far from where I usually have to go for business (Palais de Congress) but the welcome is so warm, and the hotel so charming that you don't mind. The Metro is quite convenient but if you have the time, it is a joy to walk through the Luxembourg Gardens and beyond. It was my partner's first time in Paris, and he was amazed how friendly everyone was — I think largely because of our reception here.

A really great little hotel with character. Space is a real problem though. The only place to put one of only two roll-ons was under the bathroom sink. Take too much luggage and your stay could be problematic, no drawers at all. But of course space is expensive in Paris.

The hotel is ideal for couples. It is well located close to a metro and RER that brings you directly to Charles de Gaul airport. All rooms are small in paris, ours was ok but clever with storage we had a place to put everything. The airconditioning was brill. We did not eat at hotel but lots of good patisserie for breakfast and restaurants nearby. Generally Paris is expensive for eating out etc. Overall will stay again next time in Paris definitely.!!

A lovely small hotel, conveniently located and the perfect place to spend a break in Paris. Don't expect large rooms (heh, this is Paris), but do look forward to excellent and friendly service, a stylish, plush interior, lovely breafast and a good night sleep. The metro stop is just around the corner (as are some nice cafes) and the Luxembourg gardens are just a couple of minutes walk away. My wife and I stayed for a short break with my parents and we were all very impressed with des Academies des Arts.

This was our first stay in Paris. The hotel was very close to the metro station; about a 3 min. walk. The hotel itself was elegant in its decoration and had been recently renovated. We stayed in the superior room, not spacious, but adequate; we had enough room to put the lugagge out of the way. Extremely comfortable and quiet, slept very well. Th staff was helpful. They even recommended a restaurant we went to and liked very much: Ciel de Paris. They also kept our lugagge while we visited the south of France. There was a post office within walking distance also which was very convenient to exchange our dollars for euros. The lobby has one computer with free internet access for guests, also convenient. We would stay there again.

Excellent service and hotel. Very welcoming and friendly. Deluxe room was lovely. Only complaint was no bath robes and the bath products were too perfumed which is common in France. Otherwise, loved staying there!
