Hôtel De Varenne - Paris

Great location. Lovely courtyard for drinks with friends outside reception. Acoustics bad - every word spoken is amplified around the building when windows open. Excellent breakfast and beats going out to cafes. Rooms are compact and only shower over bath with no splash curtain - but this is Paris, so shrug and get on with it. Also expensive but what isn't in Paris.

We found this hotel overrated and not well situated - in a neighbourhood far from all the attractions. The staff was courteous , but not really friendly. We found the room very small and stuffy and the aircon makes such a noise it can not be used during the night. Fortunately the room was clean. We will never stay at this hotel again and will also not advise anybody we know to do so.

We have been coming back to Hotel Varenne for years. The hotel is very clean, well kept, near a metro station, within walking distance of the Air France Roissy CDG-Ivalides bus and the neighborhood is excellent. Rooms are small and prices are on the high side.

One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in in Paris. The general atmosphere is very pleasant, all the staff are welcoming, helpful and nice and I can't speak highly enough of the housekeepers, cleaners, etc. who were all amazingly helpful, polite and lovely! A perfect experience!

It was as advertised. Lovely unassuming neighborhood between St. Germain and the Eiffel Tower. Walkable to many areas. Great restaurants within 15 minute walk.

Given how expensive some hotels in central Paris, the charming Hotel de Varenne is reasonably priced. The hotel is in a great location, close to the subway and within walking distance of the Rodin Museum, Eiffel Tower, Pont du Alexandre III and the Champs-Élysées. There is an excellent bakery close to the hotel and there are also convenience stores, pharmacies and a range of eateries in the area. Rooms are small but space is used well and facilities are adequate.

Everything was very well done and we were very pleased with the quality of the room and the location. Breakfast needs to be rethought. For the price of 11 Euros, offering some coffee and poorly constructed pastries needs some revision. One of the best bakeries in Paris is two doors done. Simply sourcing the pastries from there would have solved the problem.

Staffs dress in suite nicely and look like professional. Twin bed rooms are neat but clean, quiet. Bath rooms are well equipped and clean. Location is just behind the National Assembly and near the Concord Plaza in walking distance. The area is very quiet and bit inconvenience for shopping.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is located in what our taxi driver called the most 'chic' address in Paris! It's a quite, safe location that is within walking distance of the eiffel tower (20 mins), the louvre (25 mins) and notre dame (30 mins). The rooms were clean and had a safe and fridge and the optional breakfast was good value.
