I found the personnel extremely nice, very welcoming, in fact I will keep contact with a few of them. I will definitely reserve a room at that hotel next time i come to paris. It is at a walking distance from the Louvre and the Musée d'Orsay, there is the Saint-Germain des Prés Métro station around the corner, a big plus. I LOVED IT. I find that the price is right for what they offer : it is clean and very welcoming. I am not the type of traveller who spends days at the hotel, I am out all day and come back at night to sleep, so even if the rooms are small, that makes no difference to me.

Reserved and paid for double room but the space was barely adequate for a single(by MY reasonable standards!). OK for one night stay. Room facing mainroad with usual traffic noise and persistant rumbling vibration every few minutes or so as if metro was very adjacent. Difficult to be more positive after just one night.Place was clean and handy for St.Germain activities.

The friendliness, location and air conditioning saved the day. The hotel truly IS tiny, but it is adequate. I wish you owned the building next door and could break through the walls. Thank you for all that you do in such tight circumstances. Also, please get more computer access. Kay Fisher

The rooms are very small, but you forget this when you see the surroundings. The staff was very friendly, but they could not help me when I tried to change my double room (as reserved)in a single one. Also, the taxi who took me to the station overcharged me.

The morning coffee was not good at all. Coffee staying on a heater for a several time. I ether prefer to go in a bar and have a good coffee and it is cheaper. 12 euro for breakfast is to much. Why not filling the coffee in a thermos. This would be better for the taste. The coffee will not be burned, neither the milk!

Great location, a few steps from Blvd St. Germain and also good shopping and restaurants surrounding. New bathroom was lovely. Lobby area not much of anything and never had breakfast there (quite expensive). Staff very nice and helpful.

Location in the 6th in the middle of everything with easy Metro transportation to anywhere. For 2 star hotel, excellent service and satisfactory rooms. Room was small, but very clean and recently updated bathroom, etc. Free wifi worked pretty well. Breakfast good, but expensive. Only negative is that you hear the rumbling of the metro underneath, but I quickly ignored this.

The Staff were so hospitable and friendly, especially as i was staying there on my own. I felt very looked after. The room was small but i am used to that in paris. And i was only there to sleep. The bathroom was exceptionally cleaned everyday and so the room. I stayed on the 6th floor the elevator came in handy, but would walk down the spiral staircase on a morning!! I would stay here again, and recommend.[ The area made me feel safe even in the early hours. ]

The price on this particular hotel was certainly right for the location in St. Germain. However when I arrived they stuck me in a room where I had to walk up as the elevator stopped at 5. This was most difficult with luggage but I could do it. To get into the shower I really could have used a diet--but than I am American and we are full bodied! But the largest and most frustrating problem is that they did not understand English but pretended to--or in the alternative they conveniently understood English. They charged me for things I did not take out or use in the refirigerator for examole. I could not explain this to the receptionist when I left as he had limited abilities in English. Plus they charged me 13 plus Euros for a local call--perhaps this is common--I felt it was outright criminal. Plus I could not get in for the first night so they charged me even though I called 24 hours before. When I did get there I asked if breakfast was included. They said indeed it was and told me where it was. It was a poor breakfast and they did not wash there coffe and milk pots so each morning you drank it you were violently ill--but no one understood English--so I just stopped having coffee by the third day and had a banana and a bun! When I left they charged me 12 euro for each breakfast--outrageous--but no one understood English when I was leaving. In addition the metro rumble shook the entire structure and while that could have been tolerated the attitude of female receptionist, and owner I believe was intolerable. If you asked he a question she was put out. She was completely rude and not just in that urban Parisian manner I am use to--she lacked any real charm-- This was a very very bad decision for me--all of my other reservations for the month in Spain and Paris were great. Not this one and it ended up costing more than mhy four stars!!!

The hotel was extremely small and the rooms were nothing more than a bed and small bathroom. However the location was fantastic, although a bit far from the nearest metro. They do lock up at night but the person who was working during the nighttime shift was so delightful and we had such a great experience with him that it was perfectly fine. It was a very enjoyable stay mainly because of the wonderful staff -- highly recommend it because of them. The only downside would be the fact the metro is very loud and you can hear it until it stops running at night. This wasn't a huge problem for us since we came back to the hotel late at night - but for early risers and early to bed-ers it would be a problem. The rooms were very small but incredible clean so it was fine. I would recommend this hotel to people who plan on being out and about all day long.

We stayed here for a week over Christmas and loved it. The rooms are small but this price for this area of Paris is amazing value. Only a few mins from the louve through st. Germain. I took earplugs along because I had read here about the subway noise, but I didn't need them. Its barely audible and not loud enough to disturb sleep. Staff were fantastic! Day staff were friendly and efficent, night staff very interesting and willing to share information, history and advice. As said the rooms were small, but they were modern and clean. The bathrooms/shower were very nice. I highly recomend this hotel.

Location, location, location. A block and half from Pierre Herme, one block from Poilane, one block from the Metro. Will come back just for that. Also, the hotel staff keeps the room very clean and they're very prompt about it. One morning we left for half an hour to pickup some pastries and upon our return the room was cleaned. This happened on a daily basis. Good heaters, extra warm blankets, and a towel rack heater all kept us warm in the January cold.

Our room was tiny but so are all Paris hotel rooms. You can control the temp in your room, always had hot shower (own bathroom in room) cute little balcony, mini bar, pay tv, free internet in foyer, wonderful friendly staff who speak english and are keen to help. Great location in trendy area, lovely cafe next door, supermarket down the road. We walked to all the sights from the hotel.

Location was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. The baths were renovated and very nice. Was disappointed with the room itself. While small as to be expected in most rooms in Paris it was worn and very dark (old deep red colors) and too small, you could not step past each other when standing next to the bed and the bed was pushed against the wall which meant you had to climb over your spouse /partner.We had stayed here ten years ago and returned hoping for the same experience. If your looking for a place to just put your head I highly recommend it for the price. If your looking for atmosphere and a bit of romance I wouldn't.

Location is great for exploring St Germain. Metro is 5 minute walk away and easy to get to all parts of the city from here. Room size however was very small, difficult to fit 2 medium sized suitcases into. However the shower and bathroom were bigger than other hotels stayed in in France and UK. If you are only using the room to sleep in then I'd recommend it as it is difficult to find a good hotel in this area for this price. If you are a light sleeper, perhaps avoid it as you can hear the metro trains running underground from the rooms. Didn't have the breakfast included so cannot comment on it.

The Hotel has an excellent location within walking distance to the Seine, the Louvre, Notre Dame, and many other beautiful places. We stayed for 5 nights and were very happy with our choice of Hotel. Really any location in the 5th, 6th, or 7th would be great choices.

When I read the reviews saying that you could hear the metro passing by I thought that people were exagerating. But it's true! You can actually hear it!!! Nothing you can't solve with the appropriate earplugs.... The location is unbeatable. Rooms are very clean and the bathroom is as good as you may wish. Good shower and hairdryer. I would stay here again.

Excellent location and very helpful, efficient, and competent staff, some of whom spoke English. Our room (on 5th floor) was VERY small, and our view was of the AC unit. Also, our room had obviously been used by smokers. We were also bothered by the constant noise of the Metro.

It's a great place to stay. My room was very clean, and staff were all competent and helpful. And the location of the hotel is great. Yes, the room, especially the bathroom, is quite small, but this is Paris where space is precious.
