Very basic hotel, fine if all you need is for sleeping & showering. Nice price and only steps from Porte de Pantin metro stop. Nonsmoking rooms on front of hotel are on a busy street with alot of street noise which would be a problem if windows needed to be open. Smoking rooms are across the hall so smoke seeps under doors into room when anyone is smoking. Carpet was really stained - take slippers. Felt very safe; neigborhood is working class with many Chinese & Turkish kabob restaurants. Room safe was locked when we arrived & it took most of the week to get unlocked so had to keep our valuables in front desk safe.

The location of this hotel is well worth it. YOu must ask yourself what is most important to you as a traveler? location or quality. If is location is worth going through the experience. The hotel is located 1 minutes walk from the train which will get you to the center and main station in 20 minutes or so, many restaurants, supermarket, coffee shops, beauty shops, residential area and is safe. Hope someone buy them out since is located in an excellent area. BUT, we requested a room for 3 and they agreed, two had to sleep in a bed, I had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. Forget the wake up call, do not order the breakfast buffet you can go around the corner and buy fresh bread and coffee from more then 3 different restaurants. The bathroom was clean but the hotel look from a horror movie. I hope someone buy them out, is a piece of gold but they are not investing on the property at all.

My first time here. The room we initially were given was dirty and disgusting but we were given a clean one when we notified reception. The hotel is amazingly close to the metro and takes a short time to get into the city. For the price its actually pretty good, we stayed in a triple room and found the room pretty spacious. The surroundings had a grocery store, a discount store and some restaurants including a nice little mexican place. we didnt try the breakfast so i don't know what it's like.

The hotel was a good quality/price as far as I paid 55 euros for one night in Paris; My single room was clean, i didn't need more what I had: a single bed (quite small), a shower and W.C. The only problem : and it's quite important, that I had noise all night long because of fans (ventilateurs) turning all night long so I could not sleep and no fences (volets) my room was quite shiny!!! Anyway, even if I didn't sleep well, I think it's quite normal for that price and in Paris next to the zenith!!That's why I came to Paris, so I enjoyed my stayed in Hotel of Paris opened all night long...

This hotel served my purpose very well. A reasonable price right across from the Paris Conservatory and right next to a metro stop. The room was quite small, but worked for me. I will probably stay here again.

Asked for non smoking room, got one that smelt like an ash tray, corridor also very smokey, no view from room. Towels were inadequate. No fridge or tea/coffee facilities. Carpet soiled and smelly. Chair provided was broken. Bed was narrow and short. Walls were stained. Hotel in relatively poor condition. Staff appeared to not care less. Breakfast looked of poor quality and quantity. Has a good lift/elevator. Price was not expensive that probably says it all. Area was very good with restaurants, mini supermarkets, street food (roasted chicken and potatoes) and many interesting people. Metro station on doorstep. We had a great time in Paris despite the hotel.

We only stayed 1 night here, and it was nice and clean, the room was spacious and the bathroom was quite new. It was very quiet here as well, no being disturbed by noisy people in the halls or from the street. Very close to a Metro station (look for the lift if you have luggage). Plenty of cheap eateries around. Free wi-fi in the lobby.

Little cheap Hotel with simple, but clean rooms. Take a room with shower and wc for 10€ more and not the very cheap net-example. Supermarkets and restaurants-even McDonalds/Pizzahut- in the same street. Metro-subway all so. Ca.7 stations to TourEiffel and other highlights. Fair Price-Hey, it´s PARIS!

The Hotel De Paris was an excellent price for the money. The room was small, clean and basic--but then we were in Paris. Who stays in his/her room in Paris? Although, we were on the streetside, if the windows were closed,we could not hear the street noise below. However, there must be a hospital nearby, as we heard the sound of sirens pass by several times a night. The staff was efficient and professional, not outgoing or overly friendly, so don't look to make friends. However, the evening desk person, "Jay", was very helpful when we were having problems with one of the computers. The breakfast, at $7.50 per person, was steep for what you got. We bought items at one of the neighborhood markets, and ate in our room. The neighborhood seemed safe, and great for people watching--what a diversity of the population! The nearby restaurants--from expensive to cheap--were available for all pocketbooks. There is a post office, a couple of museums, a concert hall, a small outdoor market, and a fabulous park are all right across the street. A discount store is right down the street--great for picking up gifts for family or friends. I bought a jigsaw puzzle, some "French underwear", and a picture frame for great prices! The Metro is right out the front door which makes it easy getting to the subway. All in all, I would recommend Hotel De Paris, and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The staff was unfriendly and unpolite. We have, without being welcomed, been asked to pay immediately the whole stay in advance. I had to ask for a receipt every time I paid. Their knowledge of English was nearly not existing and their French not better. The only positive aspect was that rooms and bathrooms were clean and o.k. We, 6 persons, will surely never come back to this hotel.

The hotel room had not been cleaned yet when we had arrived to the room. The room was very, very small with barely enough room to open our luggage completely. I wish I had taken pictures of the room but to be honest it was the worst part of our time in Paris. The carpet was filthy...when I say filthy I mean that every inch of carpet was stained. I'm definitely not a picky individual and I knew that for the price we paid we weren't going to get luxury but I really couldn't get over the filthy carpet. Especially when I watched in horror as the housekeeping staff on the first day we arrived make the bed by placing the blankets on the carpet!!!! The bed was terrible....it was too small for two people and the mattress was so old and used that it was very dented in the middle so there was no way of getting a decent sleep. Also, the hotel did not use pillowcases, to make the bed they stretched the bedsheet over the pillows to cover them which added to the sleep discomfort. The t.v. remote also did not work...not a big deal but I thought I would relay all of the complaints. I definitely would NOT recommend the hotel...pay about 5 or 10 euros more and get a better place. The only good thing about the hotel was it's vacinity to the metro and some good bakeries.

Staff incompetent and uninterested. TV remote was not working and after reporting did nothing to fix the problem. Had to insist to get receipt of payment. Life was broken and had to carry luggage from fifth floor to ground floor. Price and location were the two plus points. Room was very small, with no facility for temperature control (fan/AC).

We chose hotel De Paris as it was one of the cheapest ones, and me and my boyfriend were satisfied regarding rooms. The only complaint was the staff. Those man weren't helpful at all, hardly ever talked, watching films on computers and were arogant. Didn't care about people staying in the hotel.
