Perfect location, just around the corner from Notre-Dame on a quiet side street. Got a room facing the courtyard, it was so quiet, mattress was excellent and slept brilliantly. Also just a short walk to St Michel train station which goes direct to CDG airport. Would stay there again.

Hotel was in a great location and room was lovely and freshly painted. Only let down was bathroom. Although newly renovated there was no toilet paper holder, nowhere to hang towels, no shelf or holder for toileteries in the shower, tiny square handle on shower (inpossible to grasp when wet) etc. Need a few finishing touches in the bathroom!

This was my first visit to Paris, and I loved the hotel. It was a great location, the people were very nice, and my room was small but very cute. My room was a little difficult to get to (had to carry my bag up and down narrow staircases), so if you have limited mobility, you might want to mention that at checkin.

For us this property as well as most others in this area of Paris are what make the city worth visiting. Reminiscent of the of the past, walking around this area is a must.Rooms are small as well as the elevators so be prepared to get used to stairs in this city. From this hotel Notre Dame,Saint Chappelle, the Louvre and our favourite museum the Orsay are easily reached on foot. Public transit is also plentiful and right close by. Pastry shops cafes and restaurants are everywhere in the neighborhood.

Hotel de Notre Dame was brilliant! I am very happy with my stay there. The hotel's WiFi does not work in all rooms, but I used my computer to go online in the breakfastroom and in the spacious receptionarea with a sofa. It was no problem, and they also provided tea...

The location of this hotel was good but it was very overpriced for the facilities on offer. The room was small but the bathroom was miniscule and it was not possible to move in there or have a proper shower as there was no screen or curtain. The shower head was very dirty and the toilet smelly. When I asked for a better room the man at the desk did not seem interested. The walls were paper thin and lots of noise could be heard. It was not a complete disaster but not very comfortable and probably only worth about 60% of the cost.

Location of this hotel is unbeatable, 30 seconds from the river, 2 minute walk from NotreDame, in the Latin Quarter, yet on a quite street. The room we got was excellent because you can actually see the NotreDame catherdral from the Window! We were lucky I guess by getting the top floor room. Service OK. Room clean, bathroom decent. Even the toilets in the lobby were extremely clean, and urprisingly luxurious for a 3star. Didn't bother with breakfast so no comment. Would definitly go back.

Room was small however for the price paid and location it was good value and my experience in Paris is that for that price range all hotel rooms are small. I had a problem finding the hotel, there seem's to be a sister hotel that comes up on google first when I went looking for the address to google map it to get directions from the train but other that, great location. We walked everywhere but the metro is just a few steps away. Great shopping on Bvd St Michael, excellent restaurant Bvd St German, 142

After business appointments on a Friday I was happy to easily arrive at the hotel and be warmly welcomed by the English speaking receptionist. Outstanding location to combine a vacation Saturday as basically all interesting places are in reach as either in walking distance or easily accessible by nearby Metro station with direct access to CDG airport. My single room was small but cosy "Klein aber fein". I´ll recommend and be back. Christine

It is really located in a wonderful location. The employees are extremely kind and very professional and they do speak English very well, without any 'hesitation'.

I went to Paris for the first time about 10 years ago, then I came back to this marvellous city twice again. I always stayed at Montparnasse because of cheap cost of some hotels nearby. This time, I'd try a place more lovely and I choosed Hotel De Notre-Dame for its location, according to some reviews on Internet. The choice has been optimal, really. Besides excellent location, we found nice welcoming, a quiet and not too small room (number 27). I suggest to have breakfast at hotel: it's good and cheaper than outside. My partner falled for charming atmosphere you can breathe in this lovely Paris' corner. If I come back to Paris, I'll choose Hotel De Notre-Dame again.

Very nice hotel, excellent location. The room is not so small as I expected, light and clean, two narrow beds together, but comfortable. The bath room is small, but ok, new equipment (no curtain only). Only one negative comment - you can hear everything from the street and other rooms. I will stay there again!

The room was small and shabby in need of redecoration. Did not like the opaque glass partition between room and bathroom, could see partner using toilet. A good place to stay because of its excellent location. Metro, RER to the Airport as well as Notre Dame reachable by foot. Rooms are quite small and the breakfast was poor, but what can you expect for a price of 7 euros. Paris is expensive and so are the cafés, clubs and restaurants. c´est la vie. I would definitly stay here again.

Very nice hotel and the position is the best you can get. We were travelling with our 5 month baby, the cot didn't leave much space free but since we didn't spend a lot of time in the room it was ok. The 2 big pros for this hotel are: 1) the location is absolutely top. You leave the hotel and have a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and pubs within a few walking minutes. Metro 1 minute walk. Notre Dame is just 5 minutes walk away. 2) the receptionists are friendly and speak english very well. The cons: 1) the room seemed not clean ( furniture is really worn out, bedspread had stains, carpet was really old). 2) toilet hasn't been cleaned once during our 3 night stay. 3) the room was really tiny (i expect this is normal for Paris) The room was quiet although the elevator was noticeable but wasn't loud enough to wake one during night. Overall a 50:50 recommendation, top location if you can cope with a not cleaned toilet.

Not realizing there were 2 Notre Dames, I mistakenly booked us at the Rue Maitre Albert hotel instead of the Quay San Michel. Thank God there was a room available at the location we wanted, and although the lady at the Albert hotel was not at all happy abt it, we were able to transfer to the hotel of our choice. We had to pay more but it was all worth it. We were given a lovely, albeit small, room but we had two windows overlooking the Seine and the Notre Dame. We only wish the shower had a shower curtain.

An inspiring Bastille visit aided by a wonderful hotel. With wooden beams in the room, teasing views of the Notre Dame spires, and an enchantingly close locality to the Seine/Notre Dame/Germain des pres/Marais on the cusp of 4th/5th, what was not to relish? Shakespeare and Co book shop is down the road, as is a great vegetarian restaurant on rue de la Bucherie! The hotel even acknowledged our Venere request and gave our double room twin beds. It is a little tricky to locate, initially. Just head down the right side of Notre Dame for a few minutes and the lane is resting between two restaurants accros the road. Once found, you will love the closeness, yet seclusion. Enjoy! May see you there soon...

Really good, would go again, bit pricey but excellent location, helpful staff, la huchette (street and fantastic jazz club) is right around the corner, okay to take food and drink to your room (in a bag ;)) though we were supplied with a corkscrew by helpful and effectively bilingual staff. free internet access in the lobby is v nice, and many many eateries of all sorts and drinkeries within minutes. I was travelling with my fiancee and we were both satisfied with the hotel. staff were helful and polite, and vaguely amused at all times...(?)

We were very nearly put off this hotel by reviews we found on an old Venere site when we searched for 'Hotels in Paris'. Either there has been a major refurbishment/management change or those reviews were of some other place entirely. We found the hotel an excellent choice, being so close to Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter Greek restaurants. The room was very good value, and the receptionists were very friendly, as was the cleaning lady. It's the first time we haven't spent half our visit on the Metro. Things we wanted were in walking distance, or accessible via the river buses. We'll definitely return. Perhaps someone should delete the old reviews at: http://en.venere.com/hotels_paris/11e_arrondissement/hotel_notre_dame.html?ref=680660#reviews

This is lovely hotel with a fantastic location (2 min walk to Notre Dame). It was clean, our room was nice and spacious (for a tourist hotel) and the bed was firm. Reception staff were nice but not overly friendly (one did not speak English very well). I only noticed this because the week before we had stayed at a 2 star tourist hotel (Prelude Gare du Nord) and their Reception staff all spoke English fluently and went out of their way to help us and offer information on transport, sights etc. Overall I would definitely recommend the Hotel de Notre Dame for its location, cleanliness and value for money.

I honestly don't believe that this place is a 3-star place. Having travelled within US and other parts of the world (which includes previous trips to Paris), this place is disappointing when it comes to what you get for the amount you pay (165 euros for a double bed). Mind you, the double bed is smaller than the US full size bed, the walkways to the rooms are dark and light up when you press the switches...not sure if this their idea of going green. the walkways are dingy and only 1 person can walk in one direction at a time. the hotel rooms look bigger in picture but make no mistake they are about 8x8 including shower. it has no extra plug points to charge phones or laptops (you'll ahve to disconnect fridge or tv and borrow a plug point from reception area (if they have it) to plug in stuff for charging. the hotel doesn't even have a iron box...and the hair dryer looks like a vacuum cleaners tube. surely not a 3-star. but location is good and near to latin quarter about 300 m away and you feel much better looking at latin quarter. this should be a 1 star or 2 start hotel.

We spent 3 nights in this quiet little hotel and can absolutely recommend it - our only negative remark is that the room was tiny, wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're bringing children or a lot of luggage, but this is to be expected in this price range in Paris. Everything else was great - the room and tiny batchroom was clean and well-appointed, everything worked, we had a great view over the rooftops to Notre Dame and the staff let us leave our bags in the lobby all day as our return flight wasn't until 21.00. The hotel is ideally placed if you like to walk around, especially close to Marais, Latin Quarter etc. We're definitely staying here again.

Cosy room in an unexpectedly quiet environment. Just 40 m off the busy Quartier Latin roads you find a heaven of silence with view on a one-lane street and Middle Age-style roofs. The Location is outstanding. Placed into the heart of quartier latin close to everything. But at the same time within a quite and silent road. Rooms are very small but nice, french style. The breakfast is standard both in quality and in quanity (a hot drink, a glass of juice, a croissant, bread, and marmelade/confiture). If you like somenthing tastier, try some brasserie in the surroundings (such as Paul, but, as you are in the centre of Paris, you'll find a lot)

Outstanding location. Small rooms, but nicely done, especially the floor with the view of Notre Dame. I would recommend this property.

Myself and my boyfriend visited Paris in July for a short break. The hotel was brilliant for the price we paid. The rooms are small but typical for parisian hotels and very cosy. We could hear a little bit of noise from next door but not so much that it was annoying. Bathroom was small but very clean. The whole hotel was spotless and the staff could not have been nicer. To get there is very easy from CDG just take the RER to Saint Michel, then the hotel is about a 5 minute walk along the river and at the bottom of a street directly opposite Notre Dame - much easier to find this way than directions on website. The location was brilliant for exploring the city we ate at a few restuarants recommended in the hotel overlooking notre dame which were brilliant, lovely staff and really quite reasonably priced. Would definately recommend this hotel and would use again.

Small but clean and centrally located. Quaint street. No air conditioning so had to keep the windows open, resulting in a lot of noise, but that only really bothered us on the week-end night we were there. When the windows were shut all street noise was eliminated. Friendly and knowlegable staff. Plenty of cafes and a supermarket within walking distance, as well as Notre Dame, the Seine, tourist shops, street vendors etc. Also within walking distance of Rue Moufftard, which was probably my favorite discovery... don't miss it! Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone not expecting too much luxury and with a need for a central location.

Have stayed at the Notre-Dame, 19 Maitre-Albert, twice. Fell in love with the place the first visit. Lovely location; in the quiet crook of a short sidestreet. A nice little Italian restaurant just outside the door. Walk up the street toward the Seine, and there is the Cathedral de Notre-Dame, restaurants, and everything great about bustling Paris. Walk the other direction, and immediately find the Maubert Metro stop, more restaurants, several small groceries where one can pick up fresh fruit, bottled drinks, cheese, flowers, etc. The Cluny Museum is a short walk away (medieval museum with the Unicorn Tapestries). Walk west and find lively Greek and ethnic restaurants. The rooms are small - to be expected, but clean and pleasant. We had no problem with noise in the courtyard behind - though a few other reviews mention it on weekends. Every room has it's own bathroom with toilet - Both of our rooms had a tub with shower head. Each room has a Hairdryer & 110 volt american/european outlet labelled "for shavers only", but an american cell phone, and digital camera battery charger both recharged quite safely plugged here. The staff was superb - their English much better than our French. They were also quite helpful in finding locations on the map, giving directions, and ordering a taxi for our departure. They have a small dining area for breakfast, but we did not eat there and cannot comment. The establishments around the area are also used to tourists, We would try to order in French, and they would always help gap the language barrier - Everyone was always friendly, we cannot say that we ran across any rude waiters, but we always try to be polite and respectful, and try to take a stab at the French language first. Tip: When you arrive, walk about & check out the posters for evening classical music concerts in nearby historical churches. Chillng out while listening to classical music in a historic church in Paris is not to be missed.

This was my 7th trip to Paris, and I've stayed in a different hotel each time, with different experiences each time, most good, some bad (once I was robbed in my room while I slept). The Hotel De Notre-Dame was absolutely delightful. Very convenient, quiet, good service, lovely public areas and attentive and helpful staff. We had requested an early check-in, which was available and ready when we arrived. The rooms are small, but nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. It was a good value and we will definitely return.

Nice 3 star hotel in a picturesque and quiet street near the cathedral. Nice lobby. Resided in a small but nice room. No view. Sound-proofing between rooms is not perfect!

Hotel is on great , great place! You can walk from it to almoust all monuments because they are within 5 km. Rooms are small but nice, and the price get the value true location. It is quiet because this is in the small strret, but in the morning when you wake up you are in the middle of everything! StGermain street, Notre dame, Seine, bakery, market on saturday. After few days I felt like home, everyday I bought croissant and caffe near the hotel and my boyfriend and I ate it there. I think that breakfast in this hotel should be included in price!! Metro station is one minute from hotel. Every day You will have clean room, with clean towels, You can use internet free, and the stuff will help You with some questions, and will give You some litlle things that You would possible need, like hot water for tea. And for the end some advices - taxi is not so expensive, always have a drink on the bar, visit Lovre on wednesday, when You can come in the afternoon and stay until 11 pm, On the Eiffel tower You will wait when You come on the second floor half of hour on thelift for secod floor, and in Your every option - by a pass for museums for 4 days if You are longer then weekend, because it worth it!!! You will spend less and You will be very happy when You will see the lines in front of museums and You will just pass! I wish all the travelers nice staying in Paris.

I was in Paris to celebrate the New Year with my soul mate, and the Hotel was absolutly perfect. Very quiet, calm and clean, just a stone throw away from Notre Dame Cathedral, and Boulevard St. Germain, 200mts from Metro Station, with great coffee shops and restaurants right next door.

We were very surprised by the size of the room because it was very spacious. It was very loud from the street on Saturday night, but quiet the other nights. Nice original features such as brick wall and wooden beams, sad that rest of interieur doesn't match the style (horrible tapestry...). Very convenient location, near underground, Saine, Notre Dame and many many restaurants. Will definitely keep this hotel in mind for next Paris trip.

This was a nice 3-star hotel in an excellent location. Because it is so centrally located, my dad and I could go back mid-day to rest, and walk home from many sites. It was a very pleasant place. We were not looking for extravagance or luxury -- just comfort and convenience, which is what we found there. Free Internet in the lobby was a plus. I'm sure if they offer rooms big enough for families, that they would be fine there too.

I stayed in a double room at the hotel. The room was small but adequate - cozy with old beams showing in the ceiling. The location is excellent, right across the river from the Notre Dame and near the nearest Metro stop. I can safely recommend this to others.
