This was our second stay at Hotel de Nice. Our room and the breakfast room colourfully decorated and very special (has to be seen). Nice view from our room. Repair work during daytime was disturbing. Staircase from street to reception is narrow and steep, which makes it difficult to to carry, e.g. a suitcase. We rated the value for money low. At least the simple breakfast should be included in this price.

We arrived At Hotel De Nice for 2 day stay and was greeted by the night porter who was very nice and check us in without any problems ,the rooms where cosy warm/clean and plenty room. We had no problem until checkout where the girl at checkout was so rude to me and my companions this was not needed.and put a second feeling towards our stay hear.think some training is needed within her dutys.

The Hotel de Nice is a really special place. The location couldn't have been more perfect and the staff was welcoming and helpful. My room was so lovely that I took pictures of it. I had my own balcony overlooking a little square below. It was easy to walk to the Louvre from here or take the metro anywhere in the city. It felt like I had my own little apartment in Paris. The balcony doors kept out most noise and there was even a bathtub in the bathroom. A lovely little hotel in the heart of everything. I will be back!

If you're in town on a short break and want to be bang in the middle of the action, this is a good option. Hotel and rooms are very basic but the location is excellent. About 100m from Hotel de Ville metro stop, Marais just around the corner, you can see Notre Dam from most of the balconies. There is a nice bar downstair with happy hour every evening too. Maybe not so suitable for longer stays owing to quite basic nature. Surprisingly quiet, at least it was up on the 5th floor (they have a lift). Windows are doubleglazed and AC was working during our July visit. This was my third long weekend in Paris and previously I have stayed in central city fringe locations. If the future I will definitely be staying at this hotel, or another as centrally located.

The Hotel de Nice was one of the best parts of my trip to Paris. Excellent location with great access to the city and fun, practical neighborhood where you can find everything you need. Loved my room, clean, modern bathroom, comfortable large bed with crisp white sheets. The staff is willing and able to meet all of your needs. A fantastic deal. Merci, Hotel de Nice!

Friendly staff, Convenient location, Good value and would stay there again. On top floor so pretty quiet at night, can't vouch for the rooms lower down, Plenty of restaurants close y. 5min walk to Notre Dame so well located. Rue de Rivolie very busy during the day.

Know Paris pretty well; hotel is not the George V, but hey- it's clean, with charmingly quirky decor and furniture; comfortable, with extremely kind and helpful staff. Excellent location. Get a side room if you can, lovely views of the square below.

Great place to stay in Paris. Located close to the Marais area and the Hotel de Ville Metro station, you can set off to anywhere in Paris from here. Lots of cafes close by and if you wake up in time on weekends, you'll catch the morning market. Rooms are nicely decorated which is rare for a 2-star hotel. Pray that the elevator is working when you're staying here (It wasn't whn I was) or you'll find yourself lugging your bags through a narrow spiral staircase! All in all, it was a good trip and a pleasant stay :)

While this hotel's best selling point is its location, the staff was helpful, and the place is charming. My room was very pleasant - decorated with an antique mirror and antique oil paintings. I have no complaints, and will do my best to stay here again on my next visit to Paris. I will even request the same guest room.

Wonderful hotel for people who appreciate real individual charme instead of faceless lounge locations à la carte. I had a small room on the fith floor, with balcony and great view and I loved it. It was such a pleasure to start the day with breakfast in the beautiful salon, the stuff was friendly and I am really looking forward to stay there again!

The decor had a bohemian feel with an odd colour scheme and a shabby chic air. The staff were fine if a bit detached. The wardrobe was a bit smelly so we did not use it and were glad it was only a 2 night stay. The place was clean enough but the shower was not in great working order and some of the lights did not work. The breakfast was basic but good value for all that. Definately a 2* hotel.

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights and found this hotel very comfortable and clean and loved the decor. Our room was bright as it had two large windows and was also a good size for Paris hotels, very comfy beds, spare blankets and pillows, television and very importantly (as it was hot) efficient air conditioning. The ensuite toilet was quite small and only soap was provided, but there was plenty hot water, clean towels and it served its purpose. The room was on the second floor and there is a lively square below with popular restaurants, however the windows are double glazed, the curtains heavy, there's the soft hum of the air conditioning and having spent all day walking round Paris we had no problem sleeping! The location of this hotel is probably the best thing as it is very near the metro (Hotel de Ville)and within walking distance of the Seine and Notre Dame plus the wonderful little streets which lead off Rue de Rivoli which are well worth exploring - we highly recommend a visit to the Jewish area - Rue des Rosiers where you can eat the best falafel, we had several very good meals at a very reasonable price (huge helpings) at mi-va-mi, the service was amazing and the staff were so friendly. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but opted instead to go to a boulangerie on Rue des Rosiers where you could sit and have coffee and croisant and watch the world go by. We felt very safe in the Marais area which is brimming with charm.

While it would have been nice to find out about the transport strike the day before we left from our hotel (we found out from a lunch date we had) when we asked for assistance with options getting to the airport the staff called a car service for us for the next morning. People who found out later than us were less successful.

Small and clean no frills hotel with plesant staff in a very good central location decorated in a old world parisian style. Two points to note:There is no lift from the entrance to the first where on which the reception is located. The lift is very small and slightly closter phobic.

This hotel is to be highly recommended! Perfectly situated, easy to get to via Metro or just walking. Extremely clean room, however very small, but we needed no large room actually. Excellent bed. Nice bathroom. Nice and friendy staff. Who could ask for more :-)

After a long delay ); we stayed in the hotel back in January and I would recommend it warmly to everybody. Price v. the hotels locations and its a bit comic, yet very cozy and warm decor is a brilliant match that is followed by a wonderful lady owner and two lovely receptionists. It is a family run hotel, which is reflected in its atmosphere and relaxed, kind and unhurried approach to hotels guests. We are a gay couple and did not experience any awkward situation, and were assisted on many occasions by the hotel staff when looking for something or getting the advice on where to go to eat, drink or do something interesting. Thank you

This is Paris. If you expect a massive room have a massive budget or be willing to compromise! I loved the hotel and found it very quaint. I was on the 5th floor and my view was lovely. The room was situated perfectly. The restaurants in the area, shops, distance from Metro and other attractions was incredible. As a single female traveller I felt very safe walking around by myself, even at night. The staff in reception were very helpful and assisted me with an assortment of questions in fluent English. I would recommend this to anyone as long as they are prepared for the size of the room, I had 2 single beds in my room but cannot imagine having to share this space with a second person. If you are friends travelling together book separate rooms. I would go back again with no hesitation whatsoever.
