We are 5 friends and we booked 2 rooms (a triple and a double one). the triple one was at the 1st floor and there was a bit of noise from the subway line which pass under the hotel, something the other 2 who stayed at the upper floor didn't understood. it could have happen to any hotel arround this street or anywhere else because Paris has 16 subway lines. after all this doesnt affect our stay cause we were all day out at the city and at 1:00 at night that we were falling asleep the subway was closed. great place, perfect neighboorhood, many shops and restaurants arround, especially at Rue de la Gaite, 5 minutes by foot. The breakfast could have been better, with more products, but the croisants were great. the breakfast price is expensive. If i come again i'll stay there. the employees were very much friendly and helpful with everything.

We were in room 503, a small clean room with a bath, a shower head, but no shower curtain. No aircon, so two hot nights required high tolerance for traffic noise and emergency vehicle sirens. Staff very friendly and competent. No fire-escape except for the single main central staircase. We did not try breakfast. Convenient for metro, cheap restaurants, cinemas and the Montparnasse shopping centre. Easy to get to all tourist areas, but not very much of interest in Montparnasse.

Th hotel is small and have very little room, but is very clean and employess are very efficient if you need something or have a problem. Unfortunately Blv Montparnasse is quite noisy but the surroundings are nice and the metro station is close to the hotel.

Location is really good though your map guidance in the web is not clear. Buffet style breakfast is not supurb as you mentioned in the web. Though we cannot expect so much at such a price range, the noise of metro is a kind that we had been embarassed. There are too many doors to the room.(By the way, your questionaire regarding "Correspondance between ..." is not understandable. Does "Poor" means hotel side or your web?)

Staff were very helpful and accomodating during our stay. The rooms were a bit too noisy for our liking but that is what you have to expect when staying in the middle of a city the size of Paris. Well located in relation to access to the public transport links.

Rooms are small, walls are a bit thin, and Montparnasse can be a bit loud; however, the room was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the location was superb, and the price was excellent. We were very pleased and the hotel met our expectations.

Buon rapporto Qualità/Prezzo. Camere piccole ma decorose (quelle che affacciano sulla strada molto rumorose a finestre aperte). Ottimamente collegato.

The front desk employees were very helpful - especially Tibo (sp?). On our last night, a family moved into neighboring room(s) and I was amazed at how much you could hear through the walls. But luckily the rest of the stay was quiet.

This was our first time staying at the Hotel de Nantes, and our experiences were generally good. The man on reception when we arrived was extremely friendly and helpful and understanding of our circumstances (as we had to alter our accommodation arrangements slightly) and he spoke excellent English. This man continued to be helpful throughout our stay, when one of our party suffered a bad injury. He was keen to help, and always inquired after us. We did not have the breakfast, and didn't really use the communal areas. The room suited our purpose (as a room just to sleep in). don't expect any good views or spectacular decoration. the room is satisfactory but not outstanding. I don't really know the website details, so i won't compare that and the reality.

The location is good, just a block from a major metro station at Montparnasse. For this price, you can't do better. The staff was friendly. we were especially pleased with Thibout. He was great, very helpful with directions and a pleasing personality. Given the good location, it should not surpise one to find the street noise a problem, but the windows are well insulated and with the windows shut, we heard nothing. If the room is warm, ask for a fan. Our next time in Paris will be spent here!

This hotel is well located close to Gare Montparnasse. The staff were very helpful and reception particulary with information on tours, advice etc. This is a gloomy hotel with dark corridors and could do with a face lift. There was nothing uplifting about the decor with little light. However, location was the key element in choosing Hotel de Nantes and that certainly worked as it is particularly easy to access all areas from here. Lots of lovely good value restaurants close by. I chose this hotel because of its cost and location. This was my second stay, and I will certainly stay here again. All that is lacking is wifi/Internet access; I wish that could be added--even if access needs to be purchased by the hour. The rooms are typical of this class of hotel: nothing luxurious but certainly clean and adequate. This time I was near the elevator, which was a bit noisy, but not disturbingly so. The people at the reception are cheerful and helpful.

Room was OK, but bed & matrix were quite old and uncomfortable, "petit dejuné" was realy minimal, and 4 our surprise NOT included, (almost all hotels on venere.com are) we reserve 5 diferent hotels across italy, france and germany, and this was the only one were you have to pay extra for breakfast. Really near to metro, and nice area and surrondings!!

De Nantes is a fine "boutique budget" hotel. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was nice (renovated). Its location is excellent--near several metro stations and easy to get to most parts of the city. Blvd Montparnasse is a busy street therefore there is some street noise, but no real complaint here. Staff was very nice and helpful. De Nantes exceeded our expectations overall and we can definitely recommend to the budget traveller.

The rooms (especially the bathrooms) could do with re-furbishing again to get rid of the carpet tiles, woodchip wallpaper etc. No shower curtain or hook for the shower head in our bathroom which meant the rest of the bathroom was soaking for ages after. Rooms were adequate, clean but small. Not enough storage space or mirrors. Could have done with coffee making facilities as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful - Thibult speaks good English but you have to speak basic French to the others.

Although the rooms were quiet and clean, my perfume got stolen from my bedside table, from what i believe to be the housekeeper. although it got returned to me, it was all very sus and they were not very helpful about it all.

The hotel was well located very close to Montparnase rail station. This is handy as we traveled by rail to Tours. Rooms were clan and tidy..although not spacious. Internal noise such as doors slamming would be my only negative comment. All in all it was very good

Very pleased with everything except that the room smelled of smoke - perhaps someone had smoked 40 Gauloises in there before we arrived! Perhaps leaving the window open when it was cleaned would have helped to clear the smell before we arrived. Apart from that we have no complaints - the bed was very comfortable!
