This was my first time at the Hotel De Lille and second time in Paris, traveling alone for just a few days. This was perfect for what I needed: a place to sleep, a hot shower, and an excellent location at a reasonable price. The room was tiny, as expected, but there was a small closet and a desk. Americans won't be used to the hand-held shower head and no shower door/curtain, or the low-powered wall-mount hair dryer. The staff was patient with my broken French but all spoke English very well, and were all very willing to answer my questions and arrange for a shuttle to the airport. The hotel is 2 blocks from the Musee D'Orsay and just across the river from the Louvre - easy to walk anywhere. Also, from the RER train station at the museum one can catch the train to Versaille. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I adore the location. Love being in walking distance to museums, bakeries, shops, Boulvevard St. Germaine and Metro. Have stayed in the neighborhood on previous trips. Nearby restuarants are among my favorites.

Location is superb, walk to the museum in 5 minutes, However bathroom is extremly small and breakfast is not included in the price, we were not told that in advance and have to pay at the time of checking out. Might be a bit noisy at night, but since we hardly stayed in hotel, it didnt bother us, If you are looking for nice location then you can consider this, however if you are looking for luxury look elsewhere

The Hotel de Lille is located perfectly in Paris; really a 10! My comments are on: 1. The shower is nearly useless; one can not take a shower without spoiling lots of water on the bathroom floor. 2. The typical French breakfast is very, very scanty for Euro 7,- When I realized the extra cost I toke from that moment on an excellent breakfast for the same price at a café bar in the same street.

The hotel in general is fine, but lacks in charm or character You get what you see in the internet pictures. Service is excellent. Spaces are small, access to rooms is cramped, you can barely get in. Location is fantastic, very adequate for the Louvre, l'Orangerie, Museé D'Orsay and St. Germain. You can walk all over the city if you are willing. Elevator fits one person w/1 piece of luggage.

The Hotel de Lille has a great location: a block from the Seine, 2 blocks from the Musée d'Orsay, close to St. Germaine, etc. Alas, the rooms are quite small, and some are quite problematic. My first room (#14) faced the street (noisy), had the hotel electric sign right outside the window (too bright all night), and stank of mold and mildew, no doubt caused by water from the bathroom getting into the carpeting in the room. It took several complaints at the front desk to get myself moved to a different room (#42) which was a huge improvement over the first one. The staff was, for the most part, pleasant and helpful once I got into the 2nd room, but that first one was a nightmare. If you stay here (as noted, the location is fabulous) be sure to specify a room on an upper floor, not facing the street.

Very central, clean rooms...not a lot of space. Ideal for a weekend.

Our only real complaint was that the room was extremely small. The nature of the tiny room size should be clearly presented in the literature. After three nights we moved to the Marais District where we found an excellent and larger room for a slightly lower price.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The surrounding area is filled with interesting shops and very good restaurants and bistros. The staff is very helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was fine for a few days' visit to Paris, when you don't expect to spend much time there! It was clean, but very small. Its location was great.

The roooms in this hotel are very small, but it really doesn't matter as the location is fantastic - only a couple of minutes walk from the Seine. Strongly recommended as it is excellent value for money in such a wonderful location.
