This is a hotel that I will recommend and return to. I have stayed there twice during the last four years.

Room was advertised as "superior" accommodation but did not meet any reasonable criteria for being "superior". The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. The shower was of poor quality and the temperature of the water was very inconsistent. At one point, the cold water stopped and extremely hot(scalding hot?) water came from the shower. The staff members were very professional and helpful, but they had a weak product to deliver.

Charming small hotel in an excellent position for visiting the main attractions in Paris. Close to the Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysees, and walking distance to Louvre, Musee D'Orsay etc etc. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Rooms smallish but lovely decoration. Breakfast room in a stylish converted small cellar - waitresses were very friendly and helpful.Would stay here again.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. They even gave us a bottle of champagne and a gift for new years eve, and a card signed by all the staff. The rooms were way too small for us to be comfortable, but it was more than made up for by the wonderful, helpful staff who went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable. The gym is the size of a small bathroom and far too tiny to be comfortable to spend any time in. The breakfast room is very nice(It's an old refurbished cellar). The sheet turn down service (daily) was a lovely touch. We didn't realise that extra tax was to be applied to the bill (city tax?) when we checked out, so we weren't quite prepared for the extra. Overall it was an excellent experience, made by an efficient, friendly, personable staff.

The people in the reception is great! Special mention to Silvia, very and helpful. The decoration is a little bit old fashion, but the situation of the hotel is very good.

I've just stayed there for a week with my sister in a superior room. Room, though not large, is spacious enough for openining 2 suitcases. Clean and well appointed. Cozy public area & I especially like the aroma that lingers in the air. Metro & restaurants just steps away. Would definitely recommend it!

The Indian man that works the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful - made you feel like you were the only person staying there. Others were average - not overly helpful or friendly - but provided adequate service. The hotel is pricey in comparison to other hotels in the area - for that price I would expect mini bar and breakfast to be included. One day my room was made up but no towels left - I had to wait 20 minutes while they dried in the dryer. For the money I paid I would expect a more spacious room and impecible service from everyone, not just the Indian gentlemen. Overall it was a good experience. Wireless was great but computer downstairs not so great. Breakfast was good but dining area really dark - poor lighting.

It was my first time in the otel. The location was excellent. But the room was tiny, the double bed was for 1 person and even if they had reassured that the room have all comforts, there wasn't a mini bar. The room was very clean but the view was the roofs of the buildings around. Overall, the stay wasn't bad but the price was very high for the tiny back yard room!! A bigger room in the front, would make it a very good hotel.

Fantastic location, wonderfull "french" feel hotell with excellent staff. Free internett access for the teenagers was a hit. We thorougly enjoyed our stay. After a day sightseeing in hot Paris, we looked forward going back to the hotell to cool down in airconditioned rooms. Will absolutely go back next time we go to Paris.

The only "problem" is that rooms are very small. I just slept, so no evaluation on the breakfast. Stop of the underground "La Tour Maubourg" just below the hotel

Decent hotel, bathroom could be cleaner. Good for those of you who like a quieter area. A little expensive for what you get - def. a 3 star. But the staff were absolutely and completely perfect - super friendly, and the metro station is across the street. Also, all the big sites are close, and there are two nice cafes close by for breakfast, and some shops for food. No room fridge which is a definite minus. I have also stayed in the Latin Quarter and prefer the hussle and bussle of that area and the the closeness of the Marais for little street exploring. But if all you want to do is see the big sites, this hotel is a good location - too quiet for me.

I chose the hotel forr its location and the pictures of the rooms on their web site. I was mortified by the room offered upon arrival and almost left. Turns out only 5 rooms look like what is shown on website & brochure. The rest are tiny-tiny. And there were too many steps for all our luggage!

Fantastic location and very welcoming. Staff where excellent, lovely touches in the rooms. On Easter Sat night we received a little present of a chocolate chick with little eggs inside beautifully presented. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff had a great knowledge of the local area and give us the name of a great restaurant nearby. We had a great time in Paris and we will definitely return.

Great location and for Paris a fair price. Our room was actually not bad for Paris and the hotel staff is wonderful. I dont think you will be unhappy staying here. Right next to Les Invalides and a short walk to the river. We loved the location.

I stayed at Hotel Latour Maubourg Nov 27-30, 2008 and stay in Paris 3-4 times per year, so far always in a different hotel. I will come back to Hotel de La Tour Maubourg. The rooms are a bit larger than I am use to, the shower has ample room, the room has individual climate control, there is free internet and wireless, the phone service is inexpensive, the Metro is just outside the door, and the neighborhood is quiet. Every person I met who worked here was wonderful and friendly. Check in and check out was easy, efficient and accurate. The hammam was an interesting and relaxing experience. The roses and newspapers were nice, thoughtful touches. I think "thoughtful touches" could sum up my experience: The decor is fascinating, with charming details, both small and large, in every direction you look. I enjoyed the bathrobe and slippers. The bed spread, throws, wraps and pillows were tastefully arranged and interesting enough that I needed to take a picture of my room to bring back and share with my family and friends. This hotel is a gem!

Staff at this hotel were outstanding. They were very helpful and friendly. Helped book tours and gave great recommendations for local resturants and attractions. Hotel clean and in great location (right across the street from Metro station). We loved our stay!

Hotel location is excellent - across the street from a Metro, close to Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides.Staff are very friendly and speak fluent English. Our stay got off to a bad start when we were given room 3 which is a very small, dark room behind the reception desk - not at all what we expected from the website photos and description. After voicing our disappointment, we were given a room on the second floor, which was lighter and a reasonable size for Paris, with nice decor. Still, it seemed expensive in dollar terms, especially considering they charged an extra 15Euro for breakfast. It didn't meet my expectations, but with less epectations and a lower room rate, we would have been happy.

We had a great weekend, enhanced by a wonderful hotel with really helpful and friendly staff. The room was small - we had been told that beforehand so we weren't surprised - but beautiful and spotlessly clean. We would not hesitate to stay here again, and will be recommending it to all our friends!

We loved this place! They upgraded us to a junior deluxe suite as soon as we got there. It was spacious and had a huge bathroom with tub for two, separate shower, double sinks, closets galore, and separate toilet room. It had 7 skylights, so it was nice and bright. The drawback was that the light came in early in the morning and was not able to be blocked out and that one of the ceilings was angled (think this was an attic remodeling). The location is fabulous and we walked to everything. Close to Rue Cler for breakfast and a grocery store right around the corner for snacks and drinking water in the room. The staff was very helpful and all spoke wonderful English. Sandra was particularly helpful with everything and went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed using the steam room every night after hours of walking each day. Didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. Rooms were very clean. I wanted to check out some of the other rooms while we were there, but we were too busy, so I don't have a comparison between the deluxe room we got and the regular room that we booked. We would definitely stay here again. The metro was right across the street, but we ended up walking everywhere because it was close and easy.

A very well situated hotel with a beautiful view towards the park outside. Lovely room, small but not to small, very nicely decorated and with a perfect bathroom. We stayed three nights and I will not hesitate to visit Hotel Latour Maubourg again. I have been to Paris many times and this is one of the better hotels I have stayed in. We did not have breakfast in the hotel, but perhaps we should have? Thank you anyway!

This was just a magnificent hotel, and I can not fault it. My first impressions were walking into a well furnished lobby to be greeted by genuinely helpful staff who were very welcoming. I had arrived early and was looking to drop my bags off, but was told that they would check to see if they had a room available for me already. I was offered the use of the free internet while I waited for them to check, then was offered help carrying my luggage up to the room. The room itself was surprisingly spacious, very comfortable, and very nicely furnished. Everything was clean and pleasant, and when I came in after an evening's sight seeing I found the beds turned down, the heavy curtains drawn, and sweets left on the pillows. The location was wonderful, directly opposite the metro station, a short walk to the Eiffel Tower or Napoleon's tomb, near some great restaurants and cafes. The room's windows faced onto the street, but the outside noise did not intrude at all unless the windows were opened. And this was with some work being carried out on the footpath directly below my windows! The staff were the most impressive thing about this hotel though, and were by far the most helpful and welcoming I have encountered in some time. It was a refreshing change after some of my other experiences in Paris.

I had reserved two "single classic" rooms with 2 people to a room. Upon arrival at the hotel, the desk clerk was cool, didn't engage in conversation, except to curtly answer our questions. (She spoke english well.) She had 1 person to room. It was easy enough to add a second person. The point is, she didn't have what I had from the internet. Also, it was quoted from the Venere.com website that a continential breakfast was included in our room rate. The desk clerk told us, that breakfast is never included in deals offered by Venere.com. The next day, this same woman was more friendly toward us than when we checked in. We were so put off by her, we seriously considered finding another hotel. I must say however, all other hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating to us. Our rooms were on the small side, but clean and attractively decorated. The hotel is in a great location. Truely just steps from the Metro, restaurants, the Effiel Tower, and St. Germain's Street. Over-all our stay at the hotel was positive, and we came away with great memories. Thanks!
