Great hotel to stay at as very reasonabily priced and in close proximity to the Effiel tower. We easily walked to most tourist attractions and found nearby good quality restaurants, supermarkets, green grocer, alcohol outlet and laundrette.

A very nice hotel with a few setbacks. We had a middle room and the walls are very thin. We could hear the TV in the room next to us that had been left on all night. Even though it is a non smoking hotel, every now and then we would smell cigarette smoke. With that being said, the location is simply amazing, two to three blocks from the Eiffel Tower in a quite neighborhood. The overnight clerk was super friendly and helpful. We found ourselves chatting with him about Paris, his wife and his family. He is a very interesting guy with a great story of how he got to Paris. Overall, great location with thin walls. If you stay here I would request an outer room, stay away from the center ones.

Good value for money hotel in a quiet but convenient location in Paris only 5 minutes to Eiffel Tower and nearest train station. Happy to recommend it to others

Very clean hotel, newly decorated. Welcoming and helpful staff. Cleaning & clean linen each day excellent. Disappointed to find on arrival that there are no twin rooms and that had been promised us in our booking. The top floor had sloping ceilings which caused a few problems and the shower in one of those rooms was tiny. Location is excellent with nice restaurants nearby and so close to the Eiffel Tower and walking distance of all the usual attractions in Paris.

Rooms were v.nice, but small. Bathroom was tiny - you couldn't sit on the toilet straight and I am five foot! One receptionist was pretty rude and asked us to leave the reception area where the internet was because our little boy was stopping her from being able to work (he was sitting with his dad while we were trying to change our flights to come home). Then when I told them we were leaving she said something like oh that is why he was upset. Even though there was a lift you still needed to walk up 6 stairs to your room. They were renovating the electricity whilst we were there, so it was noisey during the day - not great for a sleeping baby...

This could be a very nice hotel when not undergoing refurbishment (which detracted enormously from enjoyment of the stay - smells, noise, workmen etc). Given that the website said the hotel HAD BEEN extensively refurbished it was annoying to arrive and find work in progress. Had I known I would have gone elsewhere. It would also be a better hotel with four rooms per floor instead of five - the fifth being a ridiculously small single room that looks like it was added as an afterthought. I would have happily paid more for a larger room given the excellent location and quiet surrounds. Small things were also annoying, such as no chain on the door allowing staff to pop in and out at will (a few times during my stay) and no 'do not disturb' sign. I also thought the lock on the OUTSIDE of the bathroom door, but not the inside, was a little quirky!

This is a nice little hotel with a great location near the Eiffel Tower! My only recommendation would be to included breakfast in the rate. The breakfast rate was very expensive when we stayed there ... especially when there are many very good boulangerie right out the door. It would be a nice customer convenience and draw to have breakfast included.

Our room was # 2 that is located right by the elevator so early departing clients could be heard in the morning. Room was very small but beautifull bathroom was large enough to provide extra space for luggage storage. Handy & easy to program personal safe. We do recommend excellent breakfast on site, way cheaper than surrounding restaurants. Great surrounding locations with reasonable restaurants on De Bourbonnais & Bosquet avenues. Very friendly & english speaking staff.

This is a review of two halves. As a tourist with a busy agenda in Paris, I'd say that the Hotel de la Paix is pretty much ideal. The Eiffel Tower is at the end of the street, Ecole Militaire metro not far and the nearby Rue Grenelle is full of great little shops. However I was on business. As an English speaker, the hotel offers fewer joys. The TV has nine seemingly random channels and since it is obviously a cable system, a few extra channels wouldn't go amiss. Even otherwise grindingly repetitive CNN would do. The real downside for me was that WiFi was offered but on arrival found to be a staggering 6 Euros an hour. In these days of free Wifi, that is seriously not on. This is the most I have seen Wifi cost for about four years. No excuse whatsoever. But, again if you're an Anglophone tourist, who needs TV and Internet when Paris is outside?

Hotel is located on very quiet a small street, more like an alley kind of street. Throughout my stay of 3 nights I have seen 2 cars passing by. However it is close to numerous good places (restaurants, small clubs, groceries etc). Champ de Mars and Eiffel Tower are ten minutes walk away. Subway line 8 (station Ecole Militaire) located three blocks south. All in all, good location and safe neighborhood. The hotel itself is small but clean. Newly decorated but tiny rooms. TV shows French channels only, so polish up your French. Breakfast available at an extra cost but there are several neat bistros nearby, hence no need to eat at the hotel. Wireless internet available via pre-paid cards. Not the cheapest rates though. Weather was nasty during my stay in November but the heater was capable enough, so it never got chilly. The unit had cooler markings on it too but obviously never tested that function. Employees are helpful enough. It was an okay place as far as the price/quality ratio is concerned. Recommended for a quiet stay for solo travelers and young couples.

We booked only for one night with two children . Considering the little space of the room and inspecially the small bath with shower inside , maybe "1" meter square we can't suggest this hotel in relationship with the 220 Euro payed .

The room was best for max triple (we asked for quadruple). The annoying sound of the elevator door should be eliminated. Wi-fi internet only on ground/reception floor.

Great hotel right near the Eiffel tower down a side street. We had a room at the back with air conditioning and a double and a single bed and had no problem with noise at all.Our friends did not have any aircon so had to have their window open. There was some noise from the street side.Staff were all helpful and friendly would definately stay again.

A safe, clean, well-placed little hotel. No frills but just fine for sleeping and close to everything. Man at desk was quite helpful.

This was a great hotel in a fantastic location. The room was small, but VERY clean and nicely decorated and the bed was very comofortable. The staff was great and very accomodating, and you can't beat the location! It's about a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, or a 5 minute walk to the Metro. I will definately stay there again next time!

Per quello che ci si può aspettare in centro a Parigi va bene. La posizione è comoda, camere piccole ma pulite, ascensore piccolo, accoglienza buona.

Beautiful hotel, newly renovated. BUT, aircondition didn't work 2 of 4 nights. WiFi didn't work the whole stay, and the door was broken the 2 last nights - so the receptionist had to lock us in everytime we wanted to enter the room. A little arrogant feedback when we complained, but at check-out we got one night for free.

I was amazed at the accuracy of the description, in regards to the location of the hotel it is literally round the corner from the Eiffel Tower. The hotel bathrooms are small but they are clean and so are the rooms. The staff couldnt be any more helpful from advising us where to eat reasnobley to keeping our cases to let us go sightseeing! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and i will certainly use it again.
