Hôtel de la Jatte - La Défense, Paris

Considering the area that is quite peripheral to Paris, I can say that in Italy a Best Western 4 stars is 65 to 85 € / night vs e 3 stars 150 € of your hotel ; the price is quite high in my opinion

Since the hotel is located about one hour from the center of the city (except if you take the RER A), it is difficult to get there (subway, bus). I understand it was a last minute reservation, but unless you have something to do with the companies located (such as l'Oreal) on the island, avoid it.

Staff (expecially evening and night staff) were inattentive and unresponsive to the point of being rude. There was a significant insect problem, with flies at the hotel entrance, and mosquitoes in the room. The location was much more remote than indicated on the map. The rooms were extrordinarily small, even for Paris. Housekeeping left hoses for the vacuums in the (very narrow) halls the entire time we were there. Fun climbing over them with our luggage! We chose this hotel as a last minute choice because we had an extra day in Paris and our usual hotels were full and because of the description of the hotel and its (alleged) locaiton. The location was not represented accurately on the map (it was much further to the east than shown on the map), with no reasonable Metro connection. Good luck getting a taxi to bring you back - we had to give our cab drivers directions to this location. We would never recommend this hotel to anyone. By far our worst hotel experince in Paris ever. Neuilly-sur-Seine is lovely, but I am sure there are much better accommodations and closer to the Metro (or at least on a street a cab driver has heard of). Finally, a hotel claiming to be busineesfriendly that charges 5 Euro per hour for WiFi is ridiculous.
