Hotel was no better than average. Room was small, even for European standards, and service was just adequate. Towels were piled on bathroom floors each day. Hotel is near very busy area which increases noise, although to hotel's credit windows are well soundproofed which minimizes noise quite a bit (as long as you leave windows closed). Hotel is in process of being remodeled.

Well I think its a normal hotel for normal people.Nothing special. And I think the prices are too high for the quality of the rooms they offer. Some things have been broken at the door inside. And there is no nice view when you look outside the window. For tourist wich spend the most time sightseeing its ok.

The overall services and facilities offered are fine.Breakfast is served from 7:30AM to 9:30AM.But if you come at 9:15, you won't get served until 9:25. And at 9:35 the waitress starts cleaning and tells you that breakfast time is over and it's time for you to leave !!! So you can't even finish eating because your time is over!!! A couple who didn't speak a word of french came for breakfast at 9:28 AM and the waitress refused to serve them: she said it was too late!! So the receptionist had an argument with her and thanks to him they were able to have the breakfast they had already paid for !!! A pity for the hotel, cause everything else is just fine.

It was excellent hotel based on the level of price that I have paid. The hotel very close to the metro's which was very comfortable to go to the many places in Paris with in a few minutes. In addition the hotel is very easy to get to the CDG airport without any difficulty to carry big luggage. The reception was also very competent to speak to traveller in English. This gives the level of confident when you need to know more service or travelling information.

This hotel offer very fair value for money. The location is good, very close to tube and nice cafes and bakeries close by. The staff are excellent and very friendly/helpfull. The rooms are fine, we had a pleasant view and nice bathroom. Its not 5 star, but it offers a good, clean place in a good location with very friendly staff. We were very happy and would gladly return.

We had a room on the second floor with a french balcony towards rue Magenta. Even if the windows and doors have double glazing, the street noise is very loud throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep. We had to ask for towels, toilet paper, soap and most other basic stuff. Hotel staff was reasonably helpful, but you have to ask for everything. The area around Republique is not particularly attractive. You can walk to Louvre or to Champs Elysees but it is a pretty good walk, better to take the Metro, and save energy for other exploration.

The shower/toilet room was a disgrace. There was only a gap of 6 inches between the shower cubiclle and toilet. You had to almost step OVER the toilet to get into the smallest shower EVER. Anyone with any disability would not have been able to do this and I had to exercise EXTREME caution getting out the shower. The room was dreary and in severe need of repainting, marks and stains on the walls. It was dark with little natural light and only one power point that I could find. The furniture was cheap & nasty. The hotel would not accept travellers cheques as payment. On a plus the staff were helpful and advised us of the best way to get where we wanted to be, though we were advised that the hotel doors would be closed at 2:00, and it is close to the Metro. If I return to Paris I would pay a little more and stay at a recognised hotel chain where standards are uniform across the board. I would NOT stay at this hotel again. I went to ask for a room change but, unfortunately, the hotel was full.

We stayed here for 4 days and we were able to take the Metro everywhere in Paris. The view from our small balcony was lovely. The little bar/restaurant attached to the hotel was extra special and we felt like part of the family! We ate breakfast there every morning and had night-caps before retiring. The owner would sit with us and chat--very friendly and welcoming. Hotel was inexpensive for Paris and we were quite comfortable. Only issue for some might be the small elevator (only 2 people at a time and difficult with luggage)

Gentili e cortesi i gestori; lingua ponte inglese, no italiano.

The key received by the check-in was a room while other people were using it. Confidence to the hotel has weakened though it became the room of the seventh floor (top floor) after all. It was hard work while the elevator had been breaking down though went up single-mindedly in the spiral staircase with two suitcases. We four night stays became tired by foot's hanging to go back into one's room every day though there was no luggage. The room faced the street side, and when it became a night, the light was improved and the Sacre-Coeur buddhist temple seen from the veranda was very beautiful. The patrol car and the ambulance come and go frequently having a lot of traffic on the road in front of the hotel at night. It was not possible to sleep though it quieted down somewhat because it was annoying even so if the window was closed. It is not possible to sleep because it is hot when the window is closed, and the person who stays in summer will not be able to sleep more and more because of a large noise there is no air conditioner if he or she opens the window. I think the cleaning to be able to be tidy of it though the room is old. The hot water of the shower had come out neatly, too. It is, and the station in the metro is also convenient in the vicinity for the hotel surroundings like the restaurant, supermarket, and the bakery, etc.I think that it makes it to other hotels when going to next Paris.

Very good service regarding the price. The staff were kind, at service and they knew english. location is in the middle of the city. The only thing I did not like are windows that were open to a inner shaft. Possibly that was the case only with our room. But we had 2 double beds room for ca 100 Eur per night. This is an excellent hotel for people who do not spend much time in hotel, for tourists spending time outside, while haveing a good chance to sleep in a quiet room. I would recomend this hotel to everyone.

My girlfriend and I were staying in Paris for 4 days to see the city. The location of the hotel was perfect, 2 min away from an atm, a metro station, a bakery, eating facilities etc. Everything you need when you're exploring the city. The room however was very very small (the bed just barely fits) with a window (no view). We were a little bit disappointed by this but overall ok if you are out all day anyway. We came by car and we were offered to put the car in a garage nearby. We were told this was 16 Euros a day, but it turned out to be 22 Euros a day. You don't want to find a parkingspace in paris by yourself but this was over the top! The location of the hotel, though makes up for al lot.

The room was mach more smaller and darker, like I suspect, and from the window there was nice view for the next room :( There is no car park. They got a special price on other carpark what is far away from the hotel. There no one speak english, and they have a strange system: There isn't too much place, soo you have to give the key to the reciptionist, because maybe behind your car will be parking other cars...

The hotel faces the main road however, so if you go in the summer or fall or wishes to open the windows, it will be noisy (We were there in Oct and needed opened windows). The closest metro is Republique and very convenient.

The hotel is located not far from the central, easy access to other major Metro. The price is very reasonable ideally for families. Friendly service and the hotel is kept very clean.

The People in the hotel are very nice and friendly. the area of the hotel is perfekt. it is infront of the place de la republic with five metro stations. the travel to the airport CDG is very fast. you can arrive it in 30 min. by train. the photos of the hotel are too dark on the web page. it will be better, there are new ones, because of the charakter of the hotel. breakfast is possible with baguette and croissants and coffee for 5€. we´ve spend very nice days in paris and in this hotel

A good place to stay for a couple of days. 10 - 15 minutes from Gare de l'est and Gare du Nord. 2 minutes from Metro station where trains to different directions start. I stayed there with my 8 years old son. Our room was located towards the busy main road. There is much traffic all night. The noise can be kept outside by closing the window. But in summer it will become very hot. Try to get a room to the back side. It's a good value for the money. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly.

For a family of four this was a good value hotel, the room was clean and the staff very friendly. It was very hot in Paris when we stayed and the lack of air conditioning meant we had to open the windows which, being on a main road, made it rather noisy from continuous traffic. A small price to pay for accessibility to the sights of Paris. We stayed for three nights, using the hotel merely for sleeping so represented very good value.

very poor feeling on the stay. It is not a right place for four persons stay.
