A good value and clean hotel, the welcoming and knowledgeable desk staff helped make my stay a pleasant one. I had a triple room with bath and as I was on my own I had plenty of space. This room at 130 Euros would be excellent value for 2 people. The hotel is in a quiet-ish street, with local shops and cafes nearby, and about 5 mins walk to the nearest Metro. Its situation north of the Sacre Cour meant a lot of steep steps to climb, which wasn't ideal for me as I have mobility problems. So I would not choose to stay in the area again. My only negative comment about the hotel room is that I would have liked a kettle in the room to make a hot drink.

We received a very friendly welcome (in good English) and were very pleased with the rooms, basic but very clean and comfortable. Situated near enough to the restaurants by Sacre Couer (lots of steps) but still far enough away to be very good value for a Paris hotel

Perfect location on a quiet street near cafés, supermarkets and metro stations. The rooms are quite old, but very clean. The staff was very nice, gave us a discount on a triple room and even allowed us to bring overnight guests for free. Overall a very good, simple hotel.

We spend 5 nights in this hotel, and everything is good, except that we were not told the breakfast is not included when we asked the front desk. The cost of breakfast is pretty high (~8.5Euro/each person). There are a coulpe of good restaurants nearby, and we were pretty happy in dinning there. Anyway, this is a good hotel at that price.

I thought that the hotel was very good quality. The staff were very cheerful, friendly and helpful.Location very close to metro and pleasant walk to Sacre Coeur. Though uphill. The rooms were cleaned daily. No noise at all from outside. My second trip to Paris this year and I would definately return to this hotel next time and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good hotel and a resonable price.

We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel de Flore. The location was excellent as it was neatly tucked in the city's quieter streets and reasonably accessible to metro stations. One can take a relaxing time off after a long, stressful day of seeing the city. We found the room's size was just appropriate, considering the price. The staff was without a doubt, one of the best we've encountered in our trips. They were very helpful and accommodating of our requests. The room's amenities are very basic and not luxurious, which is ideal for travelers who look for a no-frills living arrangement. We have no complaints about this hotel and highly recommend it!

The hotel was good and the price was reasonable but by the time breakfast of 8 euros per person was added, it added to the price considerably and the breakfast was very limited....the location was good with the metro down the road and a supermarket on the next corner. The room was a good size for Paris and there was a separate toilet, which we liked. it would have been nice to have a few more English programs other than CNN on the TV!!

Hotel de Flore is a very nice hotel situated in a quiet street in mont matre. The room was small, but very comfortable and always cleen, all towels were changed once a day. In the surroundings of the hotel there are some quite good brasseries, bars and boulangeries (so we chose not to do the breackfast in the hotel) and also 2 supermarkets. The metro station is also near. I would recommend this hotel to all the persons that want to spend few days in Paris and would use the hotel just for a place to sleep.

Clean, very basic, good rate for the triple room, free wifi, near a few restaurants & bakeries/pastry shops, 2 blocks from Metro station Lamarck/Caulaincourt line 12. Desk staff were fine, but the maid left our door ajar, so I count them down for that.

We were a couple staying for a short break. The Hotel de Flore was just fine and matched ur expectations of a 2 star hotel. The staff (24/7) were very helpful and friendly, the room was perfectly clean, secure and warm and the location is excellent. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but instead used the local cafes, of which we would particularly recommend the Creperie across the road whose owner is just a lovely person and whose food is fine. The Metro station is nearby - to find the lift when arriving from the centre go through the "Sortie" and immediately go to the left - otherwise you'll have a long climb! In short the Hotel de Flore is just fine if you're happy to use it sumply as a base for sleeping.

The staff was very nice, the hotel was very clean. However, there was no air conditioning, the rooms were very spartan and the neighborhood was loud all hours of the day and night. The space was tiny and the neighborhood lively but the heat wave in Paris and the constant traffic made it difficult to sleep.

The front rooms were very noisy and hot but once we moved to a backroom,it was fine. The service was fine, the 24/7 desk service was very much appreciated and the staff were friendly and eager to help. The lack of parking in the area was a problem and it became difficult to unload and load our baggage at arrival and departure. The fact that our dog was welcome helped us a great deal. The entire area is quite noisy and somewhat insalubrious but it was close to the Metro and to MonMarte so it was pleasant to visit.

Staff is very helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Our room had only one power plug, so we had to buy a power strip at a small hardware store about 1 block from the hotel. Rooms have no air conditioning, but you can get a fan at the same store. Walking distance to metro station Lamarck-Coulaincourt; a bit farther to Guy Moquet station on Avenue de Saint-Ouen, where there are lots of restaurants/stores.

The hotel was in a good area, easy to get to the metro. The rooms were tiny, the lobby non exsistant, and for the price, we expected more. Aside from that, the room was clean, the hotel quiet, and it was a nice place to come back to at night.

WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE HOTEL DE FLORE, IT WAS IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION BOTH FOR THE METRO FOR SIGHTSEEING IN THE DAY AND RESTAURANTS AND CAFES IN THE EVENING. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THE HOTEL DE FLORE TO ANYONE ALTHOUGH A LITTLE STEEP IN THE SURROUNDING AREA. WE HAD A TRIPLE ROOM WHICH WAS PERFECT FOR OUR REQUIREMENTS. THE SEPARATE BATHROOM AND TOILET WAS BETTER THAN BEING TOGETHER FOR 3 ADULTS. WE WOULD HAVE NO HESITATION IN RETURNING.

We stayed 5 nights in this hotel. Everything was how described and to our satisfaction. The only issue is the fact that we could hear everything that was happening in the hallway, so early birds would wake us up while leaving their rooms. Other than this, this is a nice and clean low budget hotel situated in a great area of Paris.

We stayed at the De Flore in late September 08. I would have on reservations in recommending this hotel. We did not have breakfast but there were plenty facilities around the hotel. Special recommendations for the near-by boulangerie and La Refuge, a brasserie across from the metro station, there is also a local supermarket which does good picnic type food. The metro is within easy walking distance of the hotel, the Monmatre is built on hills so this should be taken into account by the less fit!Steep steps opposite the hotel take you to the busier main rue in the area with an even wider rangs of facilities, well worth a look. Over all well recommended

For a 2 star hotel, Hotel De Flore offers spotlessly clean and comfortable, though basic, rooms. Obviously this isn't the place for luxury, but if you want a quiet (especially if you get a room at the back overlooking the courtyard), clean, no frills hotel with good transport links (it's only a couple of minutes walk from the Metro) in a non-touristy street, it's a good bet. Skip the breakfast - there are good cafes close by where you'll get better and cheaper croissants!

Very good hotel, very safe surrounding. All beautiful and interesting places at Montmartre are within the walking distance. For exploring Paris, the Metro station (Lamarck) is at 5 minutes walk. Hotel does not have its own parking facility, but we were able to park the car for free (possible only in August!) in a quiet street just arround the corner. Room (3 beds) was enough spatious, very clean, oriented to the back side, so very quiet also. The employees were very helpful, they all speak good English. I am sure that Hotel De Flore will be our choice for next visit to Paris.

WE FIRST STAYED AT THE HOTEL DE FLORE ABOUT 40 YEARS AGO AND HAVE BEEN RETURNING SPORADICALLY SINCE THEN, MAKING IT OUR FIRST CHOICE WHENEVER WE HAVE BEEN IN PARIS. THE LOCATION IS IDEAL FOR THE METRO, CAFES AND RESTAURANTS, TOGETHER WITH SHOPS AND SUPERMARKETS, ALL OF WHICH ARE TO BE FOUND WITHIN A SHORT DISTANCE, ALTHOUGH THE HILLY LOCATION MAY BE A DISADVANTAGE FOR SOME. THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY, COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. THE ROOMS ARE SMALL, BUT HAVE EVERYTHING NECESSARY FOR A STAY OF A FEW NIGHTS. THE NOISE FROM THE LIFT AND OTHER ROOM DOORS BEING CLOSED IS AN INDICATION THAT THE ROOM WALLS ARE RATHER THIN. THE BREAKFAST IS MINIMAL.

We asked to get a twin bed room, and not at the ground floor. We then got an excellent room with a separate bath, and the best of all: at the top of Paris, with a view to the skyline of some part of Paris! The Montmartre were only 10 min walk away. The personel in the reception through our 4 days were very pleasant, with one exception. It was a good thing not to pay for the breakfast, because we got better off with coffee and bread in the lokal bakery, but had to eat standing. There is even several bars and restaurants in the street. Father and son (24) from Norway were very satisfied with this 2-star hotel, and even the lift functioned very well. I have been to Paris at least a dozen times.

The highlight was the warm and friendly way we were welcomed in our hotel. We really felt at home. Good location, plenty of OK eating places nearby and a ten minute walk up to Montmartre. Slightly off the tourist route is a plus, quite a few French students in area. Paris is expensive and this was reasonable value. Reception Ok though little info on hand. Problem with noise - from corridor, from rooms next door and above and from street. Rooms at back certainly quieter, and would suggest ear plugs. If you have quiet neighbours and room at back, you will have a good sleep. Check out the Vietnamese about 200m up on the left for really nice food and a very modest price - albeit modest price. Good family restaurant across the road and up the hill a little, on the corner - South American food and nice people. Have children with you - check out the swim centre Aqua Bouelvard in South Paris (easy metro ride)

Good Hotel, fair price/quality relation. Excellent location to walk around. The bus connection recommended on the hotel webpage was good, correct, and in total we paid for two person one way 19 Euro for the two busses. From the parallel street you can see the Eiffel tower, and walking distance to Montmartre is ca. 10 Min. Very nice private houses in the area of the hotel and a small nice theatre. We will defenitely go again, or another good choice is Tim Hotel Montmartre.

The hotel is basically fine BUT being in room 17 meant we were above the entrance and autoatic doors. You could hear the motor very clearly in the room and people coming in and out in the small hours. This didn't bother my girlfriend but it did me. Pity as basically, the hotel is in a great location, the beds are comfortable, the rooms clean and the staff very friendly. Perhaps if you could get a room on floor 2 or above it would be much better (there is a lift, and six floors). Sound proofing between rooms is good however. You might even find that a room away from the top of the stairs and the doors would be completely fine. Bit of a debate as to whether we would return.

The hotel provided superb instructions for both train + bus from the airport. I mentioned early arrival - the room was available on check in at 8am. (This was because the hotel was not full the night before arrival.) I practiced my French, & when I ran out of French the staff explained in clear English. The hotel is 1 stop further from Monmartre main tourist area. Local restaurants for locals so fair price. Two or three supermarkets nearby for supplies. I ate outside hotel or in my room with picnics from supermarkets. I bought small 1cup waterheater for cups of tea from hardware merchant down road from hotel! Hotel room clean & neat. Not for a romantic weekend to impress a girlfriend. But, fabulously practical, central 150m from train station!! I would definitely stay here again! I wanted a good bed & good shower & quiet sleep as a base for my walks/travels round Paris. This was perfect for me. There seemed to be some of French businesspeople staying here for a day or so. I am a single independent traveller.

Venere had bungled up my orders, it seems that they're buggy if you have two reservations on one email-address at one hotel. But the people at the hotel fixed things smoothly and neatly even if we arrived very late. Clean, ok standard, got what we paid for. Kindof few electrical outlets in the room though if you need such (we did, but used a "multiplug" so we got all our gizmos working)

The hotel is well located (near MontMartre), the rooms look like the typical parisian ones and the employees are gentle and welcoming. The bathroom is very clean, although small. On the minus side, the rooms are small (yep, parisian hotel), and when arriving in ours there was a smell of damp carpet, which disappeared after we opened the window. There were also ancient traces of humidity in the wardrobe (but we didn't use it). My friend also found some long hair (we both have short hair) in the bed, which displeased her.

It was not made clear that the booking did not include breakfast, so it was very difficult to make a fair comparison with other similar hotels whose prices did include breakfast. This made the cost of the hotel considerably more than expected.

We were very happy with our stay at the hotel. It was located down the street from the Metro stop in Lamark and very easy to find. The room (a double with shower) was small but clean and the staff was friendly and english speaking. The room was at the back of the hotel and fairly quiet. We didn't have breakfast or use any other service at the hotel. We can recomend the hotel if you want a clean budget hotel in Paris.

The main gripe with this place was that we were on a floor populated with early-20s party people, who spent much of the night trying to gain entry to each other's rooms for reasons one can guess. The walls were paper-thin. Otherwise, the hotel was fine - fairly typical of Paris hotels in this price range. Very good for Metro and Sacre Coeur.

Hotel was quiet, rooms small but comfortable. Very close to the Metro and quick to get to the centre. Good value for money.

You get what you pay for. Very basic, tiny rooms which had a foul odour, possibly because the wc is in a separate tiny room with no ventilation whatsoever. Triple room is not three single beds. Its a double and single. Hotel would not change room for us or provide a pull out bed. Most unhelpful. In fact they made us pay before we went to the room. They knew we would not be happy. Never stay here gain. Ibis hotel just down road, much better for the same money and in a much better location.

Good location, near Metro. Friendly staff. Very clean. Good sized room (triple) although we saw a double room which was the usual tiny Parisian room.No noise from other rooms but it was so warm we slept with the windows open - street noise was deafening. We bought earplugs. In future would ask for a room at the back - the guests with rooms at the back slept like babies. Would definitely go back. Good value.

Basic hotel offering good clean accomodation. Easily accessed from the main motorway into Paris from the north. Parking is a bit of a nightmare if you chose to leave the car on the street I would thoroughly recomend the use of a nearby secure parking facility this can be found on the map shown on the hotels web site cost is around 14.5 euros per 24 hours. Hotel is well located for the Metro with a station at either end of the road. Stad de France is about a 8 minute train ride away and you can be in central Paris in 15 minutes. We used that hotel as a base to watch the England vs France rugby match and it suited us fine. For those of you who fancy a late night drink I can recomend a local bar that is located near by. In order to find the bar, turn left out of the hotel and walk up the road as far as the metro station (opposite side of the road) instead of entering the metro climb the steps above the station and turn right at the top, the bar can be found about 75 metres along this road on the right hand side. It is very traditionaly french and very friendly. Easily located by the Stella Artois sign out side. Overall I would say that the Hotel offers good value for money accomodation, as a side note the breakfast is continental and costs 7 euros per person.

While I enjoyed the location of the hotel (near Sacre Coeur and Montmarte, and convenient to the Metro), my wife complained about the stale, smoke smell in the simple, small room. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The value for the cost was fine.

Nice hotel. Good resturants close by. Convient Metro location. Breakfast was overpriced, and lacking.

De Flore is just what I expected. A simple hotel with comfortable beds. Breakfast is quit simple, but tasteful. In comparison with other Paris' hotel I think it's a good choice to stay.
