when I came down and asked man behind desk did u do breakfast all I got was No when I asked him was there a local café and he said No my first few steps outside and I turned the corner and there were hundreds of them, maybe a language problem I don't know, taxi from bus station ten minutes away, 34 euro taxi back to station 8 euro, talk about rip of Ireland, however the lady of the 'hotel' was nice enough and had a lovely smile and the girl that cleaned the room also a beautiful smile made the up for the lack of other things but as the saying goes you get what you pay for and as I'm an easy going guy I wouldn't complain and yes I would go back and give the benefit of any doubts I had, over all I enjoyed the city and felt very safe there which is more that I can say for my home town of Dublin ps they were doing up the room beside me and all I got was hammering till about 5 pm ish for 3 days non stop but hey whats new about stuff like that first time in paris; new time go to centre of city

When speaking to a member of staff I was told the car parking available would be €15 but it actually cost €28. Also I was led to believe that the Sacre Coeur was within 2 minutes walking distance from the hotel, the hotel manager said it was 20 minutes away and the waiter in a nearby cafe said 60 minutes! We didn't find out as we took the metro which was about 6 stops and entailed a change of train onto another line. The hotel manager was very helpful but the rooms were on the third floor with a very narrow spiral staircase and no lift. On a positive side the beds were very comfortable but the en-suite was very basic and it would have been nice to have tea making facilities.

small room but clean and good value, close to the metro. This hotel room is much cleaner and better than the last small hotel i stayed in when visiting Paris.I would recommend the hotel for people looking for a value for money hotel

+: Friendly and helpful staff, room clean and quiet, good matrass in the big bed, metro nearby, nice non-touristical quarter. - Twin room without toilet, which was not clear before the booking, window did not open, there was humidity on the wall. We got another room with a big bed which was ok, but just a curtain between room and tiny bath, W-Lan did not work in the room. All in all very basic, for 20 euros more you get much more at other places

no toilet in the room ! no toilet at the same floor, they say : located at arc de triomphe but locared 10 metro stations further in one of the poorest places in Paris ! Not shure to continue with venere

No toilets in the room, no plug, impossible to close the window or to draw the curtains. Staff mainly interested in getting the money immediately and forget about you right away. Very bad.

Good location. Very close to metro which is only a few stops in to central Paris. Room was tiny and consisted of 2 single beds pushed together, however they werevery comfortable. Open bathroom which was only a shower and sink in the corner of the room. Shower leaked all over the floor creating a slip hazard and sink was blocked. Toilet was communal and not the cleanest! Good Working television. Dirty floor tiles. Friendly reception team, fast working wifi. Very noisy late at night at early in the morning from other guests coming and going,slamming of doors and banging suitcases up the smally winding stair case. Over priced (€200 for 3 nights). Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay as we weren't in the hotel a great deal. We were very happy to have a comfy bed, a hot shower and to be close to central.

Nice hotel considering Paris is an expensive city. far away from the city centre but with a Metro station near.. i'll recommend it for a weekend!

Really it was not a nice experience. Don´t have elevator and the stairs are very difficult to access. Don´t have air condition or a fan, is not possible to sleep with the window open because is in a noisy street. We didn´t meet our standard.

Never stay there, no hot water, no toilet in ensuite, rude staff, no wifi, one towel for 2 quests, no wash basin in communal toilet, spoilt our stay to Paris hope it doesnt happen to anyone else should never be listed on this site and should be shut down, absolutely disgusting. If I knew where to report it to I would, 10 euro discount for no hot water my quess they never have it

Will not recommend this hotel. The walls are paper thin and EVERYTHING from all over the hotel could be heard. The bed was not comfortable, We had no hot water for two days, no explanation nor excuse was given from the staff, only "good thing it's summer". Bad quality all in all.

No lift, so be prepared to carry bags...no toilet in room...on the fourth floor it is down a flight of stairs. The location is great, however, as you are close to the Metro, just round corner and the price is certainly cheap. Towels were changed daily and the place clean if needing an overall. No wifi either except in the tiny lobby. No ice, a basic place but the staff were pleasant and helpful...good for students on limited budget but not families or those needing facilities or who cannot carry their own bags up narrow flights of curving steep stairs..

Exactly what i was looking for. Cheap and quiet, 2min from a subway station. Perfect for one night between two trains or if you don't want to spend more. The best relationship between price and quality i ever found in Paris.

As it was our first visit we were pleasantly surprised, we were greeted by Rene and throughout our stay helped us with directions and gave excellent customer service,all in all the staff were great. Location is excellent , Metro and public transport and shops all within a 5 min walk. Would recommend this hotel and defiantly stay there again.

We've stayed in a hotel for five days and our vacation was excellent. The staff was very nice and always willing to help.

The street has a poor looking, at night you don't feel safe.

Staff were fantastic, advised us on cheap food shops. Room was very clean and tidy. Our room had a shower but not a toilet which we weren't aware of when we booked - there were shared toilet facilities but they were clean.

Never return in this hotel.

overall insufficient... + nice welcome (even in german) - too little hot water in the shower, - heating did not work (telling the staff did not help), - we found a major blood stain on the sheets, - somehow stinky because of rest rooms being just on the other side of the corridor (very very close)

Very poor ratio quality/price, room as large as a grave, and when they say "shower inside" means that, if you stay at 1st floor, you have your toilet 1 stair up or 1 down... In the night drunk couples fighting in other rooms, noone to tell them to stop. The worst place I ever stayed, at the top price.

The hotel is very very good, the location is near of markets, bakeries and the most important near to metro station. The best of this hotel is the staff, our stay were better because the staff. Very helpful and nice all the time. I really want to come back next year in this hotel. I strongly recommend.

Hotel was good, Staff was very nice. Rooms were very clean. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything that goes on. Location was great. Overall stay was very good.

The rooms were VERY simple, be careful to get one with toilet AND shower, otherwise you gotta share with your neighbours. The rooms are not sound-proof at all, you can hear every sound from your neighbours, a good combination with the extremely hard closing doors - especially at night.

It's just ok, not really good services as its price

This is a hostel, not a hotel. We were put in a 2m by 4m room. The bed had only 1 pilow, 1 hand towel and 1 shower towel. Fluff and dirt on the floor, the hallway smelled of rotten cheese, the toilet was on a different floor. There are 3 toilets for the whole hotel. We did not stay a single night and went to a different hotel. Would not send my worst enemy there.

Best people in town...i found very helpfull and professional people.According whit the money i spent this hotel will be my next choice again..

The hotel was nicer than expected, friendly staff, lovely and clean, brilliant location - could walk to montmatre in 10mins and right next to metro station. Maybe slightly over priced considering I only had a sink and no other bathroom facilities in my room but otherwise I had a pleasant stay and would recommend!

My family of 4 stayed in Hotel de L' Europe for 3 days in July 2011. Other than studio room being small for family of four which was acceptable considering limited time staying in room, we had an outstanding experience at this very fairly priced and neat hotel. The staff were very good and in particular Hotel Manager - Mr Rani, was outstanding and went out of his way to make our stay easy. Although must pay extra, the breakfast is good value and sets you up for a busy day in this magnificent city. The hotel is located in a decent area with pleasant cafes and good small supermarkets; beautiful Montmatre and Sacra Coeur close enough to walk or take metro;big plus is proximity to Brochant Metro (approx 150m walk) and number of bus routes. Two doors from hotel is self servive laundromat which is very useful. I strongly recommend hotel for business and holiday travellers and I will certainly stay there again.

The only accommodation which was exceptionally disappointing of our entire trip in Europe. One little towel was provided for two of us. When we requested another one, we were told that there were none available. Upon arriving back late one evening we had to shower in cold water. The toilet was often filthy and on occassion there was no toilet paper. The sheets, however, were clean and the staff were accommodating in so far as assisting us with directions etc.

Clean and quite spacious for a single room. Fairly recently refurbished and with a new, comfy mattress and even a small TV. The location isn't bad- walking distance to Montmartre but non- touristy safe residential neighbourhood. Overall, for Paris, this is quite good value money and perfectly acceptable for one night. I'd stay there again.
