The English speaking staffs are amazing! I felt very welcomed. The location was excellent, just about 10 min walk away from the Shakespeare and Company bookstore. Two supermarkets (not large, but sufficiently stocked) are 3-5 min walk away. It's really close to Jardin du Luxembourg and Le Sorbon, which are two good locations for breakfast picnics. My husband and I enjoyed walking around the Latin Quarter so much that we almost didn't want to leave...

People at the reception are very friendly. Hotel location is very convenient and surroundings are very nice. It's a pitty that breakfast is not included in price, but this is not a problem: the area is plenty of bars and restaurants even on weekend or public holiday.

My friend and I were in Paris for sight seeing and to attend a concert. The single rooms were very small but perfectly adequate for a short stay where we were out by 0900 each day.

I was quite impressed with the people who checked us into and out of the hotel. They were very professional, helpful and nice. The hotel is in a great location ~ lots of good restaurants and shopping nearby. It was super easy getting to the airport, as the closest metro station has a direct link to the airport. I would stay here again.

After our longtime favorite Latin Quarter hotel near Place Maubert was recently “upgraded” (meaning flashy decorations for a much higher price), we felt we had to find other possibilities. The Hotel Cujas, a couple of blocks away, turned out to be an even better choice. First, the basics: Although our room was small (about normal for Paris), it was comfortably furnished, clean, quiet, attractive, and served its purpose perfectly. The beds and bedding were very nice and the bathroom, though a tight fit, was completely modern. The shower instantly supplied loads of hot water, which is exactly what we like. However, what really stood out was the friendliness of the reception—easily the warmest and most inviting welcome I’ve ever experienced in any hotel anywhere. And the hotel’s staff overall was friendly and efficient (that is to say, never in the way and everything was done timely and as it’s supposed to be). Another feature we really like is the hotel’s location, which is extremely convenient from the de Gaulle airport—only about a 3-minuite walk from the RER train station (Luxembourg), which is about 45 minutes (and 10 euro) from CDG. We also like the university-neighborhood atmosphere, with the Place de la Sorbonne only a block away and students filing up and down the streets all around. At about 150 euro per night (for a twin room on Easter weekend) we think the Hotel Cujas is definitely going to be our new place to stay in Paris.

The Hotel Cujas Pantheon exceeded my expectations. We arrrived at the hotel and were offered a twin room for the same price as a double, so that we would have more space and be more comfortable. We were given a room on the sixth floor, which was very quiet and extremely comfortable. By Parisian standards the bathroom was large, with a lovely bathtub and shower (great water pressure. I would definitely recommend this hotel for location, comfort, value for money and friendly staff.

The location is excellent. For 2 people, it is better to get the twin room, for better space. Rooms are clean.

Wonderful location, good value, would stay there again. Close to Luxembourg Gardens and hundreds of very good restaurants. Within easy walking of Notre Dame and Metro. The wonderful book store 'Shakespeare and Company' is between the hotel and Notre Dame. It's truly worth a visit. (37 rue de la Bûcherie)

I was only at this hotel for one night, but found it to be very convenient, clean and comfortable. And good value for oney in a fabulous location on the Left Bank. The room was a bit small for a longer stay and the breakfast room was pretty confined.

Stayed in a twin room which was small but clean and had all we needed. There were roadworks going on so it was not as quite as it would probably be in normal times. Excellent location for visiting sights in Paris with helpful and friendly front dest staff giving info on bus services etc. Really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our visit at this hotel, it's perfect situated in Latin Quarter - walking distance to restaurants, métro and Notre Dame. We spent one day in Disneyworld, and the bus departure was just 2 minutes walking from the hotel.

Very nice location, but quite noisy at night (we stayed in the weekend, and there are two pubs in the street).

We loved this hotel. Our first night we had a lovely room, but it was noisy. We we asked the staff to move they were able to switch to a room at the back of the hotel where it was quiet. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable and very quiet at the back of hotel. The bathroom was small but pleanty of hot water with good pressure. The Airconditioning worked wonderfully. the Staff was very knowledge able and very helpful. The location is great. 5 to 8 minute walk to underground, close to bus stops, food places close by. Latin quarter is an 8 minute walk where there are plenty of places to eat. Very close to St. Michel street and Luxenburg Gardens. Loved this hotel, we would definetely stay here again. The only suggestion I would make is that they add a mini fridge and an electric kettle to the room.

I felt like staying in a three star hotel rather than two star. Very warm welcome, the whole structure is new, clean and quiet, very well organized in an area I like very much. The room was really tiny, but it would be unfair to expect more for a single room at the price I paid.

The Hotel location is very good, the room is clean and tidy( i booked single-bed room, for single-traveller the space was enough and nice). Staff @ reception was very helpful, and the free wifi did work very well. I would recommend to my friends for sure.

Daytime reception was wonderful, nighttime and weekend reception were quite POOR. One preoccupied with smoking/talking with his friend or on the phone, the weekend one gave us a general answer to something he could have looked up on the computer and saved us a wasted train ticket and valuable time. The rooms had air conditioning which was very helpful, even in May, and to get the cigarette smoke out of our nonsmoking room. Appreciated the quietness of the rooms and had more space than other standard rooms. Housekeeping was wonderful.

We found Hotel Cujas excellent value for money and location. Our room was spotless and everything we needed. The only thing I personally would have liked would have been a kettle to be able to make a cup of tea. The receptionist when we arrived did an excellent job of checking us in under difficult circumstances as the lobby was being painted at the time. I would recommend this Hotel to our friends and we would definately stay there again if we are lucky enough to visit Paris again.

Although fairly small, our room was more than adequate by Parisian standards and half the price of the similar 4 star hotel across the street. Staff was friendly and quite accommodating, breakfast inexpensive although spartan but served in a cozy atmosphere. The location at the Sorbonne was perfect, reasonably quiet and only a five minute walk from RER B station. Room was clean as it gets. We will definitely return.

It was fine. A little on the small side and a few hooks for towels in the bathroom would be nice(rather than wash and change them every day!) also we would have liked a kettle with coffee and tea in the room.

I was very happy with this hotel. For the price, I actually got more than I expected. The staff were very welcoming and polite. I arrived early in the morning after a night flight and was not expecting to get my room at 9am but the woman at the reception (I think she is one of the owners) said the hotel wasn't full and that I could have my room. That was very kind and I was not charged any additional fee for early arrival or anything like that. The rooms are small but considering the value and the fact that it's Paris (great location right by the Sorbonne and Latin Quarter), who hangs out in the hotel room anyway?? The room was tidy and clean, the bathroom was very clean and well-supplied - no frills but it had all I needed - and although the shower was small (and I'm not a big person), it was perfectly fine. Bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget, looking for a great, safe and quiet location and not needing a lot of fancy or lavish amenities.

Generally the hotel staff, the small rooms :) and the area are perfect. The only disadvantage is the poor Internet connection in parts of the hotel !

Paris is extremely expensive these days and this hotel offers quite good value in a great location near the Luxembourg Gardens and within walking distance of the river. Quick access to the Gare du Nord via RER B for Eurostar travellers. All the staff are pleasant, helpfull and efficient. Everything is modern, clean and functional. Breakfast is basic but fresh and sufficient. A good budget choice on the Left Bank.

The best with this hotel is the location. In a quiet sidestreet next to Boulevard St.Michel, 10 minutes walk to lots of resturants in the Latin Quarter, the river and Notre Dame. In the neighbourhood there is several cafès to buy a cheap breakfast, several shops (including Gap) and a supermarket. Also close to Luxembourg park and train station. Direct train line to both main airports and easy to get around the city. The room is nice, clean and quiet. Good bed. Small room, but big enough for a citybreak. Normal size of bathroom. Air condition worked well, just stopped one night but was fixed fast the next day when we notified the reception. Staff is nice, helpful and speaks English. The cleaning staff always forgot to refill toilet paper, but it was no problem to get it from the reception. I would definetely recommend this hotel and would book again if I go back to Paris.

Our room was very small but clean and comfortable. I wouldn't recommend it for a long visit to Paris because there really isn't room to settle in and unpack. The woman at the desk during the day was very pleasant and helpful. The young man at the desk the first night was decidedly unpleasant and unhelpful. The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing on the Left Bank, and within easy walking distance to Notre Dame and the Right Bank. Overall, a good value for the price.

I knew this area well but hadn't stayed in this hotel before. All the rooms have been recently refurbished and had everything necessary without being luxurious. It offers excellent value in a geat part of Paris.
