Hotel Champs Elysees Mac Mahon - Paris

The only advantage of this Hotel is its Location else its a pathetic option.The Hotel doesn't even keep Drinking Water/Glasses for its guests inspite of charging close to 100 euros per day.Rooms are very small.Toilet had broken fittings.Overall this hotel is not recommended for anything other than the Location.

The Hotel lies very close to Arc de Triumph which is the only positive thing. The rooms are extremely small, old, seem dirty and do not look inviting. There is no place to even lie down a suitcase. You hear everything that goes on in the rooms around you. Bathroom is very small and the shower full of mold, really awful! Stay away from this hotel if you can it is not worth the money you pay.

The hotel location cannot be faulted so close to the Arc de Triomphe. The staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was really good and very complete. The room however was horrible - small and in bad need of a refurb. the towels and the bedclothes were frayed and the towels just felt so "thin". Will point out a really good restaurant - a nice walk through the Parc Monceau to the Place de Clichy Chez Bebert (Algerian couscous)order the Couscous Royal - this restaurant has been there for more than 20 years. Take the sauce in the ladle you have on the table and mix in some harissa before pouring it over your Couscous - fantastic!!! Other great hotel Nos Ancetres les Gaulois on the island to find it go to the back of the Notre Dame and cross that bridge and walk down to the bottom of the street - think it's called Rue en Isle - forfait price including wine that you help yourself from the barrel, fantastic starters and cheese platter great atmosphere.

Rooms were overheated, although my request specified "quiet and cool"; no mention of how to lower the temperature. however the location is brilliant, at 50 meters from the "Place de l'Etoile"

I was in Paris for 7 days it was great , hotel have great great location rooms were smal but it pass , i was in room 209 breakfast is good I recommend it you will pay more if you take same breakfast out , over all great hotel & location next street you can find airfrance bus 35 sec. Walking. their is 3 metro station 2 min walking. and about the champ eliysee street 4 min walking. their is no free wi fi. ohhh by the way their is a small market in mac Mahon street 2 min walking on the same line of the hotel and you can find mc Donald & quick beside the hotel

We were very happy with our stay and the hotel! Everybody at in the hotel reseption were very nice and helpful. The location of the hotel is amazing, a grate place to stay for first time visitors to Paris, with easy accsess to all the main attractions. There were only a short walk to Champs Elysees and a grate view of the Aec de Triompe just outside the hotel dore! Asolutely a hotel to recomend

The hotel is very conveniently located. It is just a few minutes walk from the hotel to Champs Elysees. The metro station is an interchange for several lines. It saved us much time in travelling. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. I would give a higher rating if free wifi is provided in the hotel.

Rooms are too small,no air conditioning.but location and price covers everything.

The Hotel is situated in the Heart of Paris. The rooms are small but comfortable for the price Right next to the famous Champs Ellisey is what would make this Hotel most suitable to those who want to enjoy the vibrancy of the city till very late night.

We were in Paris in April for two weeks and stayed in several places. The location was excellent, we had a view of the Arc and we actually sat out on the balcony and were able to access the free wifi from the restaurant next door. The room was very small, but the beds were clean and comfortable. The biggest negative was the carpet, it was filthy. The staff were nice and helpful, and stored our luggage. We booked on line a day before arrival and for 80 euros for the two of us we thought it was a bargain. The location is fantastic. We would go back again. April in Paris is the best.

The room is just to sleep but we needed of that to stay 4 days/3 nights. The metro is just 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

Stayed in Mac Mahon for 2 nights. Perfect location and very easy to find (we have never been to Paris before)! Rooms are small but very clean and lovely view on Arc de Triomphe from the balcony.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. What the hotel advertised and what I received was accurate. However, the sheets were stained, the furniture was a bit rickety, the view was of a wall, and the lobby was under construction. Other than the size of the room, which was very tight, the hotel had the basic necessities of a temporary living space: hairdryer, shower, air conditioner, and such. This is not a hotel where the hotel, itself, is a destination, nonetheless, an overall pleasant stay because of the staff. I have to mention the location is prime. Situated across the street from a major landmark, The Arc d'Triomphe, the restaurants are plentiful, and the shops are interesting, so there are a lot of sights within the hotel's vicinity to keep your schedule filled.

We stayed for 3 nights at the mac mahon.the room was too small.the next morning we were changed almost immediately to a better room-it was stillsmall but adequate.the room was freshly decorated and well kept.the shower was good but the enclosure was small.the bathroom was very clean.the staff were very helpful and friendly.the location is excellent very convenient for the metro and near the ryannair terminal as well as the champs.go to la defense for its shops and to the hippopotamus in place de ternes (down the road) for dinner ask for the carte anglais-their set menus are good value.we enjoyed our stay but our shower was for the slim.we would stay there again

Nice hotel in excellent location. Nothing luxurious and special, bur rather simple, clean and modest, but completely OK. Breakfast is plentiful but expensive for what is offered. It is perfect for short stays in Paris if you want to be centrally located.

The reception area is very narrow and small, the decor is out dated with green wood and plastic flowers and plants,the automatic entry glass doors were smeered and needed polishing.The room we had was adequately sized for this standard of hotel, but I felt the furnishings were a bit scruffy. The bathroom was very small and had shower only, the shower seals were loose and the floor became flooded on each use. We had a balcony with a fantastic view of the Arc and the beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast room was spacious and it was on street level with large windows,often these rooms are located in the basement, breakfast was adequate. We enjoyed a a wonderful stay in Paris, the hotel was brilliantly situated for airport links, metro, shops, bars and restaurants.

We stayed at Mac Mahon Hotel from july 13 to July 16 2006. I am from France and my wife is american. The hotel was extremely well located, one minute away from the Arc de Triumph and the Metro station Charles De Gaule-etoile and the Champs Elysees. We saw all the military parade of the Bastille day going down Ave Mac MAhon toward the Champs Elysees. The Air France shuttle to the airport stops just half a block away, which was very convenient. Upon our arrival, we were first assigned to a smoking room, but the receptionist changed the room immediately when we requested a non-smoking one. The comprehensive continental breakfast was included in our price which was nice. (This was a value of 28 euros/d for the two of us). The hotel has undergone full renovation. Rooms were clean but small like most other hotels in Paris. We had a full size (not queen size) bed. There was no clock or ironing material in the rooms. We enjoyed staying there very much. for the price that we paid (90 euros/night) it was an excellent value. I would highly recommend this hotel for the price.
