This was my second stay at this hotel and this time I stayed in a premium room which was newly renovated and very nice. The staff were great at helping reserve ticket to events and we even left a souvenir bag behind which they mailed back to us in the states. Highly recommend.

Reasonably good value for Paris - great breakfast included in price. Rooms tiny and single beds very narrow but that's Paris. Situated close to railway line and train noises all night. Within walking distance of many Paris attractions.

Cheap place (compared with other options in Paris). Location was ok: a 5-min walk to the tube station, or 20 min and you were near more crowded places.

The room is faced to the durty technical bilding and railway, the windows are not proper and slipping by every train. In the bathroom bad smell. Internet was not working at evening. After the horrible night without a sleep I moved out. The breakfast was good.

Very noisy hotel. Close to the railwail station, you can't sleep, as trains are every 5 minutes. The service at the reception is terrible. I booked a double room, hoping to have 2 beds and at my surpirse it was just one bed. No way to convince the receptionist than double room means two beds. They ask for payment in advance, even is credit card was provided, plus photocopy of the credit card and passeport once payement was accepted by the bank! I would certainly not recommend this hotel.

We had an excellent stay here - the hotel was in a good location and we found we could walk to all the sights easily, plus the metro was right next door for those who don't like walking. The room was comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean. Appreciated having tea and coffee facilities in the room and a safe. The staff were english speaking and very helpful - they assisted us with maps and tours and made sure we knew where we were going! The bar was a nice place to sit for a drink at the end of a day sightseeing, along with a computer with free internet which was a bonus!

the rooms are extra small especially the bathrooms (you can't sit on the toilet because facing you exactly is the wall & the shower is so small you can hardly move to wash. The back rooms are all on the train station, and you can hear each train and feel the vibration. But otherwise the staff is helpful and polite.

We enjoyed our short stay in Paris, the hotel was clean, rooms were a good size & the breakfast was very nice, staff were very pleasant. We would recommend this hotel to others & would stay there again. The only minor issue was that it is close to a railway & could hear slight rumbling in the distance but this did not spoil our stay. Location was ideal with 3 metro station near-by.

Very welcoming hotel on quiet street, 2 blocks from three Metro stations. Newly remodeled and exceptionally clean. Great breakfast was included in our price. Staff was knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. In upscale residential neighborhood with nice local restaurants and shops.

hip, clean hotel with nice public spaces, good free breakfast (rare in France now), free wi-fi and computer use. a perfectly safe pleasant convenient neighborhood but not close to any tourist areas. one night it was the noisiest hotel room i have ever experienced because of occupants in the next floor up.

Very well maintained property. Bathrooms are spotless and with a small balcony overlooking a quiet residential street, it was perfect.

The location of the hotel was excellent - close to 3 metro stations and in a quiet residential area. Rooms typically Parisian (small) but clean and functional. Staff seemed disinterested in customers and this is my only complaint. I would definitely return due to great location.

We booked the standard room. Arrived early but we were given the room anyway. The room is a bit small but for Paris standard, it's quite reasonable. Enough space for two big and one small luggages. Double glazing windows but we do feel the occassional and slight vibrations from the trains nearby. Didn't disturb our sleep though. Staff is friendly and helpful with travellers. Breakfast is reasonable and we can opt to have it serve in our room as well. Location is quite good. Close to two metro stations - Rome and Europe - on two different lines, which made it easy to move around. Ed, a local supermarket is just round the corner. Handy especially for bottled water (that would otherwise cost 2 to 3 euro), fruits, snacks or wine. Closed rather early though.

This was my first time to stay at Cervantes and I had the company of two female relatives in their sixties. We were all very impressed, our single rooms all had very comfy double beds, breakfast was excellent and the location was only minutes away from Metro Rome. If I had to fault anything we were very surprised to find that the little hotel bar did not serve wine. Otherwise no complaints!

We arrived 2/14/2008 late afternoon. A female receprionist told us that we have to prepay all our stay (5 nights). We had a voucher from Venere noticing that we will pay at the end of our stay, and we never told her that we will not prepay. Next morning after breakfast we noticed that we had been LOCKED OUTSIDE OUR ROOM with all our belongings in it. We went to the reception were the same person was, and she told us PAY NOW OR LEAVE OR I WILL CALL THE POLICE. We asked for the hotel manager, because we did not like the way of treatment, she told us I am the manager. Obviously she was not, and sudenly the manager appeared, telling us that this is the hotel's policy, but since we have Venere's voucher we can pay in our checkout. WE PAYD AT ONCE AND WE ASKED THE POLICE TO COME, to complain. During our stay nobady apologised for this behaviour. We travel a lot all over the world, for 40 years, we have been in Paris many times, NOBODY NEVER NOWHERE even in third countries had ever this behaviour.
