We've been to Paris many times and decided to stay in a different area of the city this time. Hotel Cabourg was in a very convenient location between two Metro stops. There were tons of grocery stores, bakeries, restaurants just steps away. Our room was on the top floor and had the traditional slant ceiling. The elevator didn't take long to get to our floor or down to the main floor. Our room was a decent size with a nice bright bathroom and window that opened. This was a quick get away for us and we will be back.

Small rooms, poor breakfast bla bla bla. I do not care any of these, but what makes me mad about this hotel is the staff. I can't charge my camera because none of the plugs in my room work so I asked the receptionist for help, what happened was, he's going to kill me. I do not recommend this property to anyone.

The hotel was hard to find because the map was not really detailed. Other than that the hotel was really nice compared to others in the center of paris for the same amount. The room we got, two twins, was tiny but we spend most of our time out exploring anyway so it was not a big deal. There are lots of restaurants and pharmacies around which was great. My cousin and I went for a vacation/school and we were quite comfy in the room. I will definately return to the same hotel next time I am in Paris. It is great for the money you pay.

Room and wardrobe very small. Curtains very very dirty. The accomodation is good if you use the hotel just to sleep and to have a shower. The hotel is located 150 meters from Rome metro station.

The Hotel was ok for the price,,, The guy on the desk was not very helpful at check in as we stated that we may stay longer and he said not at these prices... Happy that we didnt. but he got our room safe open for us when we checked out... You could hear everything that was going on.. entertaining sometimes, we wont be staying there again because there is better for a few bucks more..

The Welcoming was wuite strange.. We arrived at 11:30 and the registration starts at 12, but the man at the desk told us to come back in few hours (?!!!) as the room has not been cleaned yet. Finally we got to leave our baggage in there however the man was not pleasant at al!!!! To the question whether it is safe to leave passports in the room he replied : 'No, It's not.. Of Course it's safe it's a hotel!!!!' I think that was to suggest that the questio was stupid.. It's a pity I did not ask his name. We were trying to avoid him anyway.. Unpleasant and really strange. Other female employees were great and wery helpful. We had a quadruple room by the terrace on the ground floor. The hotel has a cat and it's litter box was kept at that terrace, so the smell of the cat's pee was unbearable.. You should really do something about it.. But overall it was more or less ok. However the hotel does not qualify for 2 stars. SUpermarket is nearby, which is really great. However if You're coming back to the hotel quite late avoid groups in unlighted boulevards, may be unpleasant..

Buon viaggio.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and we really enjoyed our stay a lot! The rooms were small and quite noisy (thin walls and noise from the street), but clean, the towels were changed every day...There was a hairdryer in the bathroom. The staff was really friendly. The hotel is situated not far from the Sacre Coeur and Moulin Rouge - we could reach everything by foot easily (20 minutes of walk to Sacre Coeur), we could also go by foot to Arc de Triomph and Champs Elysees (30 minutes walk). 2 metro stations were very close to the hotel and the Supermarket ED is nearby.

Nasty, dirty, unrenovated, mildew/mold on walls & ceilings and in bathroom and curtains. My friend and I did not want to spend any time in the room. I would not recommend this hotel if you want something clean. They charged me 1 euro per day extra per person!!!! Saying Paris tax. That is not true, but what could I do?

They need to spend a little and fix up the rooms. They were in need of paint and had peeling wallpaper. The hotel is right near the ROME metro station. There is a grocery across the street and several resturants nearby. All in all a great price for Paris.

Our stay was very nice. We arrived at 00.30 but there was someone who welcomed us and tell us to go to sleep, even if the payment should be made as soon as you arrive. We paid in the morning, remember there are 3€ more for everyday (is a national tax if I understood). The room is little but very hot, they clean it everyday and put new towels and everything every morning. So the cleanliness is very fine. The thing we didn't like was the fact that the room are not very quiet...if you don't speak too loud it's ok but if someone next to you make some movement or speak a bit too loud you can hear it. anyway if you are in paris for tourism you can easily stand it, it's not that annoying...So we liked our stay in the hotel, there's a little lift to take you upstairs, so no problem with big bags. The location is perfect: in 4-5 minutes you reach on foot the 2 metro stations next to you (PLACE DE CLICHY and ROME), we prefered the first one because it's a perfect line (the blue one) to go around in Paris. There's a Mc donald's in the square of the metro station, many restaurants and boulangeries and even many other places to eat, so the position is perfect, there's also a little supermarket. So we advise you to stay in this hotel because you spend less and stay fine!!

It charged a little higher than the service the hotel provided. I payed 52 euro for my room. Though I got a double room with three bed(I booked a single room),I still think it did not deserve the money I spent. I was waked up at night because the room was too told though I opened the heater. The bathtube is a little dirty. The room is very dark though there are four lights. I could not link to the wireless network. It's a little noisy in the midle night because people walked upstairs. You can find a lot of restaurants and hotels nearby. And it's close to the subway (no more than 2 minutes). But it is not easy to find the hotel because the direction in the web is a little misleading.

The walls are very thin. You can't even have a normal conversation without your nabour hearing it. But besides that, the hotel is very good. Only 5 min. walk to moulin rouge, 10 minutes to Sacre Cæur or 15 min. to Arc de Triomphe. The metro "Rome" is right next to the hotel, which is nice when you want to go home at night. Be ware that the price on venere is not the price you will pay at the hotel. They put a tax on the price. I paid 6 euro extra pr. night in tax, but its still cheap and a good hotel at that price. Don't order the breakfast at 5 euro. It's not worth it.

Hotel Cabourg has a good location near the rome and place de clichy metro stations. From the boulevard outside you have a good view of Sacre Coure. The hotel has a small reception with good service. When we arrived we were asked to pay during the first day. The hotel had added a 12 euro tourist fee. We had a quadrouple room with good space. However it seemed to have been a water leak and there was mould both in the corners of the room and in the bathroom. During our stay the hotel was being renovated, so maybe the problems with mould in the room will go away. Coming from sweden where we have a lot of security thinking, we did not like the fire escape plan. The only way out was down through a small stair (somewhat blocked with material for the renovation) and then out to a small open space between the houses. I guess that for the cheap price you should be glad to have a room with private bathroom.

Hotel Cabourg was set in a great location for us, as we are walkers. Great bakeries and shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms a little thin-walled, but a friendly tap on the wall to a neighbor took care of it immediately. Staff is very friendly. Bathrooms are clean. We would stay again for the value and location.

The location of the hotel was excellent, about 15 mins walk from the Sacre Coeur, however the hotel didn't meet expectations based on the description provided. Our room was very noisy from street traffic from very early in the morning until very late - had to buy ear plugs to sleep. Also the walls are cardboard thin so if you're unlucky enough to be in a room next door to someone who has their TV on full blast, it's unbearable. The room was very small but was cleaned to a good standard every day. In terms of value for money, they charge tax on top of the price shown on this website and even though most places do, I expected it to be included in the cost as it doesn't state otherwise. In addition check every page of this site because breakfast is not included and unless you go into a specific page, the website misleads you into thinking that it is. Staff on Reception varied, some were really nice and friendly but we didn't really ask for anything apart from an Iron, which was broken and therefore unavailable. We stayed 7 nights, so perhaps it was the length of time in a small, noisy room that became too much and possibly a 2-3 night stay would be fine... On a positive note, if you stay here or in the area check out Bistro 52, 52 rue Legendre, we ate there twice and the food and atmosphere were great.

Hi, if you're looking for a cheap and comfortable hotel you're doing the right choice. But please don't expect red carpet and other devices.. it's a small hotel, in a very French building, with small rooms and bathroom and an essential breakfast. But it's quiet, surrounded by a quiet street, clean and.. the price is very very good. If you're not looking for Hilton you can afford this hotel!

It was a small hotel but this is to be expected in Europe, especially in Paris. Breakfast was boring and you had to pay extra (personally i would rather have eaten cheaper elsewhere). No entertainment provided by hotel and it was miles from most attractions. You had to ring bell to get in and wait for receptionist who was rather surly. But it was clean, cheap and you get what you pay for. Overall out of ten it gets a 5.

We stayed at the hotel for four nights. The rooms are not big, but they don't need to be. They were plenty big for our needs. The hotel was a little out of the way, but the Rome Metro station was nearby. It did seem a little long when coming back after a day of sightseeing. It could also be a good taxi ride after the metro stops running. There are markets and restaurants in the neighborhood. Overall the staf was great. Although, the biggest complaint was the desk clerk who tried to make out with a female friend when she tried to get her room key. It was a good place to stay on a budget but females may need to beware.

I like the overall friendliness of the staff, although they could be more helpful with general trasnportation knowledge. Room not soundproof, can hear neighbour's conversations. Difficult to sleep on few nights because of strong smell of cigarette (not sure if it's from guests or receptionist). Love the area, though, near to Metro and busy shopping area. Lots of place to eat, would stay around that area again. Only reason not to return to hotel is the cigarette smell, otherwise we'd love it there. Toilets were very clean. Room cleaned daily which was nice. Value for money.

We chose this hotel for it's location & competitive price. The hotel was easy to find - just a short walk from the Metro station (Rome). We received a friendly welcome & found our room to be clean with en suite shower room & wc, TV & even a mini safe. The room itself was quite small but was fine to use as a base & a perfect location to explore Paris - on foot or by the wonderful public transport system. The hotel is situated nicely between two metro stops which made it easy to get back to after a long day of sightseeing. Clean and with a fan that made the warm evenings easier to bear with, this hotel was one of the best we stayed at on our budget tour through France and Italy. We're already planning another trip back with family and we'll be staying here because it has all the amenities you need. Just beware of the man eating lift doors. Really a nice stay, wonderful position there is anything you need just outside the door, clean rooms very nice guys helping for any need. Thir is a great hotel close to a metro station and a 5 min walk to Mouline Rouge and Montmarte. We did not spend much time in the hotel, since there is unlimited amount of things to see in Paris, so we only came there to sleep. The room was cleaned every day and the fact that it was right next to the subway made it a very comfortable stay. We diceded to use the bus for our travel around the city I bought a 2 day all day pass was around 9euros, per person. I felt that this was a very nice place to stay, especially for the price. Like most of the reviews before me, I would like to remind the traveler that it is not a luxury resort, it is your basic room, bed, bathroom and shower - and it even has a TV!, and breakfast for extra Euros... The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned everyday. The employees of the hotel were nice and usually helpful. Try to get an unlimited metro pass for the amount of time your are staying, since it's a bit of a distance to central Paris. Besides a bit of noise during the days because of construction, and the thin walls at night, it was a comfortable place. I would go again.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Pulito. Colazione a pagamento.

Excellent value for money.Ideal location for accessing Metro for sightseeing. Staff were helpful and friendly.(One of the guys could put a little more effort into the "Friendly" department.)Just around the corner is a cafe, L'Escapade. Try him for a coffee and sandwich before setting out to see the sights.Further down near the Metro Station is the restaurant "Hippopotamus". You can't go wrong here. Excellent food at reasonable prices.A wide variety of other good restaurants within walking distance of Hotel Cabourg. For those who would bitch about the size of the rooms! Surely you didn't come to Paris to spend your day sitting in a bedroom? Get out early. There's so much to see. Enjoy your stay. We'll be going back real soon. Michael & Tim Carroll

The walls are thin. Thankfully, I had brought ear plugs. The people at the front desk do speak english and are very friendly. There is internet access as well. The room itself is a bit small but it suited our needs just fine. We just basically wanted a place to sleep and bathe. We would stay there again. However, if you are overweight, the bathroom may be a challenge.

the first room I have been given had a broken TV but globally it was ok because I asked to change room and I had been attributed a new room in 5 minutes.

The hotel was pretty much as discribed in reviews we were on the 4th floor this had not been refurbished and was looking pretty tired. En suite had obviously been a previous addition and took up large amount of room causing bed to be pushed over and no longer fit in headboard space thus light switch in position where was continually caught by pillow during night and no room for side table and wardrobe door had had to be removed. We had some very noisey neighbours on either side who could be clearly heard due tyo the bery poor/ non existant soundproofing But the price and location were fine didn't have breakfast as better options available near by to sum up a basic, safe and clean base to explore Paris at a reasonable price

Really a big value! cheap, clean and 100 m from metro station Rome, just in front of the saturday Batignolles market. The owner, a Breton, was very kind to us. A few flaws: I was with my daughter and our twin room was really too small; in january 2006 the heating plan was still a central one and in the night it was too hot, but they are going to renovate it; the staff is not always very kind. On the whole I highly recommend it, especially to couples and young people.

Excellent on price, although there is a lot of traffic in the mornings going by if you are on the wrong side of the building. If you want a cheap stay, central location and decent service. This is the place to stay.

Consigliatissimo a tutti!!

Well what can I say? Good location, nice neighbourhood and easy to reach. BUT THE OVERALL STAY WAS NOT THAT GOOD. WE HAD LOUD NEIGHBOURS AND COULD ONLY SLEEP FEW HOURS PER NIGHT. ALSO SOMEBODY ALWAYS MOVED THE FURNITURE DURING THE NIGHT IN THE LOUNGE WHICH WAS BELOW OUR ROOM AND IN THE MORNING AT 6,30 THEY PROBABLY MOVED THE TABLES IN THE BREAKFAST ROOM. I THINK, IF SLEEP IS NOT IMPORTANT FOR YOU, THIS HOTEL IS PERFECT. FOR ME SLEEPING IS IMPORTANT TO. THE WORST THING THAT HAPPEND HERE IS JUST ABOUT TO COME: THEY BLOCKED THE AMMOUNT I HAD TO PAY TWICE ON MY AMERICAN EXPRESS AND AFTER 10 DAYS I AM STILL FIGHTING TO GET MY MONEY BACK. I CALLED THEM SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY TOLD ME THEY HAVE NO IDEEA WHO BLOCKED THE MONEY IN THEIR NAME! WHAT? THIS IS A BAD JOKE. PRAY FOR ME TO GET MY MONEY UNBLOCKED

Very tiny rooms, extremely convinient location, 5 mins from moulin rouge, 10 mins from montmartre and sacre ceur, very small bus journey away from arche de triomphe and eiffel, 20-30 mins metro to most other attractions in paris. This is the best possible location in paris to stay. On first day the receptionist was very busy on phone and did not answer our queries courteously. Never saw him again, other receptionists were just fine. Continental breakfast is a joke, just a croissant and a small baguette. Other hotels serve much more than this in the same price. My advice is stay here, skip breakfast.

Small rooms, but otherwise good. But I don't expect spaciousness in central Paris, so it isn't really a complaint. Two thumbs up

I really enjoyed my stay at Carbourg. It was easy to get to using the metro and was ideally situated to visit many of Paris' attractions, several of which were in walking distance. Lots of restaurants nearby, from familiar fast food joints to proper sit down restaurants. Even had a cinema on the same road showing films in English, if you were at a loss for something to do one evening. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially if you took some time out to speak to them in reception, thereby establishing a good rapport. I found their command of English good, although I had the benefit of being able to speak French. Breakfasts were ok, and the hot coffee a welcome pick me up in the morning. There were a couple of cheap supermarkets nearby if you wanted a "do it yourself" breakfast. Water in the showers were as hot as you could want. Rooms could have been bigger, but they were quiet, warm and dry and afforded me a good night sleep, so what moere could you want? I was there with one other adult and two children, and I would definitely recommend this hotel for those travelling on a budget, whether as individuals or a family, and am more than happy to use it again when I am next in Paris. I had a great time, with no complaints.

We were pleased with the basic facilities, cleanliness and heating of the rooms. The frontdoor bell sometimes did not work and we had to wait a while on one occasion. Overall we would recommend this Hotel.

stayed for 3 nights, was very pleasant indeed, had a small bit of difficulty finding the hotel, the room wasnt as small as id expected going on the reviews although the bathroom was fairly cramped it wasnt that much of a problem, the rooms was cleaned an tidied every day, the security was very good-someone at the desk all the time, rooms were lovely an warm an cosy, breakfast downstairs in the mornings-was really nice, is in a really good area too-metro stop just around the corner, loads of really nice restaurants around and corner shops as well 2 get snacks. bad points- only french channels on the tv, would of been nice to have sky news or something to watch in the evenings.and also the walls were rather thin-at night in particular u could hear every sound from the room next door like when they had the television on. also the light at the door didnt work. apart from that no problems at all, the staff well really friendly spoke english,it was a lovely hotel, and well worth the price, would definatly stay there next time!

Clean and comfortable hotel at an unbeatable price. We stayed four nites at 46 euros for a double. Our room was clean and ready for us when we arrived at 2:00 pm. Good heating, decent bed and furnishings, good security, convenient (1 minute walk) to Rome metro station, grocery stores and banks (ATMs) also within 2 minute walk, fast internet in the lobby 1 euro = 15 minutes. Safe clean neighborhood, and a decent reasonable Italian restaurant a block away. Hotel on a quiet sidestreet off the boulevard, and with the insulated windows closed, most street noise kept out. Walls are fairly thin, but it just wasn't a problem, just hearing the occasional voice or cough. Friendly desk attendants opened several bottles of vino for us. What drawbacks? We do so much walking on holiday that one luxury we look for is a lift. Cabourg's lift partially defeats the purpose, as it stops between one floor and the next and you end up with a flight of stairs to climb or descend. It's a minor inconvenience, and still better than climbing multiple flights of stairs if staying on a higher floor. After the 1st nite we were moved to the 1st floor, so ended up just taking the long flight of stairs from the lobby to our room. One reader complained about the lack of choices on TV - 4 French national channels - that's it. I know the standard rebuke is who goes to Paris to watch TV? But for us, we did a hell of a lot of walking and sightseeing during the day, so that when we got back to the room at dark, we were tired and pretty much in for the nite, and it would have been good to have BBC/CNN to catch up on the news or even a movie before bed. Decent TV cable is a definite extra that I imagine most folks wouldn't mind paying an extra euro or two for. I was expecting claustrophobia after reading the reviews, but actually the the rooms and bathrooms weren't nearly as tiny as many reviews might lead you to believe, and I've encountered much smaller in Europe. The showers ARE outrageously tiny and ech

Location, cleanliness, and comfort of beds was excellent, it would have been stunning value if the shower heads did not sqirt water off in the wrong direction and if the wallpaper coming off the wall in one room I had was attended to.

VERY NICE HOTEL!!!!

Freundlicher Service. Jederzeit wieder!! Ideal for a budget trip to Paris. Clean rooms, perfectly situated, low price, quite calm (if noise protection windows are closed)
