The friendly helpful staff , proximity to major venues of interest and the Metro, plus the decor and atmosphere of all the rooms contributed to the wonderful time we spent in Paris.Bedroom at the front of the hotel was not large , but extremely comfortable ,with a balcony and a nice view. Breakfast was good, but a little expensive.Elevator, luggage room and free internet use - an added bonus. Would certainly recommend this hotel to all our friends.

The location is excellent and I have no complaints about the service. However I had requested a classic double, certainly not the cheapest one available and I was given a tiny attic with hardly any space for a price that did not seem equivalent to the size of the room.

The room price is quite high based on the size of the room, but I believe this to be comparable to other hotels in this location. The price of the breakfast - 13 euros for some toast and scrambled eggs - seems very high to me. The rooms are spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and have floor-to-ceiling windows that open - but are also remarkably small, at least by North American standards. Nice to have air conditioning as the weather was very warm.

Have been to Paris many times, but this was the best hotel we have stayed in so far. Excellent location for sights, good buffet breakfasts and friendly atmosphere. Free internet facility is a bonus. Very clean everywhere.

We were visiting Paris for the first time and found the hotel's location to be centrally located to some of the sights we were interested in seeing. The hotel itself was clean, pleasant and well staffed. The room was small by American standards but the bed was comfortable and afforded a good night's sleep. The only negative was the lack of soundproofing as you could hear someone cough in the next room.

Love this little botique hotel. We booked our room through Venere and was actually able to upgrade through the hotel itself. Worth every dime as these rooms are very small! Also breakfast was included otherwise I would have been fine looking elsewhere for food as it was not anything special. But the stay was great, rooms were quiet and you cannot beat the location. Central to everything!

We had a classic double room which was quite small by American standards, but otherwise delightful. Warm, cozy atmosphere. Excellent decor. However, it was a warm week and we could not get the room entirely cooled off even with the air conditioning. Thermostat would not go lower than 19 C. We were only on 2nd floor so guess a higher floor would have been warmer. Nice breakfast included in package and front desk was very helpful and courteous in all we asked. Lovely little hotel in nice section of city and near major attractions and metro stop. This was our first visit and we would stay again.

Molt ben situat. Hi tornarem:-)

Lovely small hotel in a great location. Only downside were the rooms facing the street, which were noisy as expected. Staff was extrememly helpful with all needs. Rooms small, but, after all, it is Paris, and decorated nicely.

The Hotel Brittanique is well-located between the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay. The room we had was remarkably clean, as were the hotel's public areas. The sitting area was a very pleasant place. Two of the front office staff -Asma and Sandrine - deserve special praise for being helpful and friendly. We have one small complaint: on arrival at about 10.30pm (on a Saturday night) the gentleman on duty remained seated behind his desk: he gave us the key to our room but was unwilling to help with our cases or explain that the lift was too small to take more than one person and one suitcase at a time. Perhaps he had injured his ankle and it had been a long day. Overall, however, we would stay at the Hotel Britannique again.

We were only in town for less than 24 hours so it is hard to be too critical. I thought the hotel had a very nice ambiance and a good location. The room was extremely small and difficult to move around in. I also resent paying rack rates in this day and age when there are deals everywhere.

Our first trip without our children for our anniversary proved to be a very memorable one, helped by the fantastic hotel and the location could not have been more ideal. The staff were very helpful with varied infomation from where to board the Batobus to the best place for chocolate for our children! Absolute recommendation

Wonderful small hotel, well furnished rooms with the exception of space for a sitting area for two (a 6 night stay for us), ideally located for walking to many tourist sites with the added benefit of a metro entrance at the end of the block leading to a major stop with multiple line options.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Brittanique. This hotel is small but elegant, the decor is lovely;staff are so helpful the service is impeccable(particularly the man who was on duty in the evenings);it is near the Pont Neuf therefore all the sites are in easy reach as is the Gray line bus which ,for a small fee, takes in the main tourist spots of Paris. There is a good restaurant(Zimmer) across the street from the hotel whose meals are excellent. My husband is an American and I am English so this review is international. We would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of going to Paris and hope ourselves to go back there.I had searched other sites and picked this one out of over 250,I was so lucky,it was probably the Turner paintings that finally made the choice for me.

The only bad point from the hotel was the soundproofing of the rooms. We had noisy neighbours and asked to move and the staff did this without hastle Unfortunately I feel the hotel is let down by this one aspect But it is more than made up for by the cleanliness of the entire hotel and the pleasant staff

The hotel was excellent and well positioned for my immediate purposes. The room was clean and adequately equipped, although the lift was rather small and slow so that at times a lengthy wait was required. The reception staff were most helpful, providing advice on good local restaurants, travel routes, etc. My only minor criticism is that the room curtains failed to eliminate external light, which for someone accustomed to living in the country makes for difficulty in getting to sleep!

The Hotel Britannique offered us the perfect location and ambiance to fall in love with Paris. Perfectly located, close to everything either on foot or by Metro. The rooms, although small were very clean and well appointed. The Britannique staff is at the top of all our hotel experiences, being friendly, well informed and happy to take the time to help make your stay in Paris a fuller experience. This was our first stay in Paris and we plan to be back to stay at the Britannique next fall.

The accomodations were very "quaint". The staff (especially Stephanie) was VERY helpfull and pleasant. I loved the hotel because of it's central location and the "smallness" of it, compared to a commercialized Inn, Hotel, etc. I would strongly reccommend this hotel to anyone interested in a very "quaint" setting and central location. Merci, Jennifer

My only criticism is the complete lack of an adequate fire escape facility in a 5/6 storey building with only one WOODEN staircase.

We stayed at the Britannique for one week in May, 2003. We found the hotel location to be very convenient for walking to Ile de la Cite, St. Germaine des Pres and the Louvre. The nearby metro stop made city-wide travel easy. We enjoyed the neighborhood surrounding the hotel and frequented the boulangerie, cafes, small shops, and grocery stores. The property was very well appointed and maintained with a cozy atmosphere. The bilingual staff were accessible, professional, and personally attentive. The housekeeping and security were excellent and unobtrusive. Our room was furnished attractively; the bed had a firm mattress and the bathroom (we opted for a shower) had modern, reliable fixtures and snowy white towels. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, although it looked very nice. I have no reservations in recommending the Britannique. I was delighted that it met our expectations and my family would stay there again.
