This hotell is not recomended for anyone ..The building itself is in very poor condition and the bathrooms leaks. Staff is very unpolite and rude ..And i guess next time i will pay more to get a better place then this rotten hole.

It is really nice and the price is reasonable in Paris. The room i stayed was very tidy and clean. The staffs totally love to make jokes....-_- haha, they are funny and helpful! The hotel is located in a residential district with many supermarkets nearby. Yet, the hotel is just next to the metro station!! I would definely choose it again!

A perfect small hotel for the low-budget-visirors! Clean, friendly and cheap... The subway station some steps further, 2 supermarkets very close to the hotel and a perfect small cafe just opposite, on the Edith-Piaf-Square.... Our next trip we will certainly book again in this hotel!

The room was small, had old furniture but it was clean and generelly all right. Hotel Belgrand is easy to find - Metro just outside the entrance. Unfortunately the hotel is situated on a very busy street, so it was very noisy all the time. You have the feeling of sleeping in the street. If you are on a budget (and noise is no problem for you), this hotel may be recommended as you will probably have difficulty in finding cheaper hotels in Paris.

Paris is expensive and you get what you pay for. The Belgrand is ok and I liked the location near Pere Lachaise. The rooms were basic, but clean. Only real complaint was that the night porter (a spotty and surly youth of seventeen or so) was in the habit of falling asleep at his work, so that you had to bang on the door for several minutes before he woke up and let you in if you got back later than the relatively early hour of eleven. Overall, adequate and reasonably good value at the price, but nothing to write home about.

Price was reasonable for Paris. However rooms were small and the lift can only fit 1 person and was rather noisy when in use at night. What could have been a quiet stay wasn't as a result of the noisy lift. Bed Spread had stains on it and needs urgent replacement. Bathroom was not cleaned well but cleaners did clean the room itself.

another great stay at Hotel Belgrande, this is the second year in a row we have stayed here. Staff are very friendly & welcoming. Very knowledgeable about local events etc If you are looking for a budget stay in Paris & don't mind being out of the city centre & having to change metro stops, you can't go wrong with this Hotel

Pros: - the room was cleaned every day - the subway is just in front of the hotel, and is a very good transportation option - the price was ok compared to other options Cons: - small rooms (but is somehow in line with everything else in Paris) - the room and the bathroom need some refurbishment - the towels had a strange smell, although they seemed clean and they were changed every day

It is very practical, the metro outside the front door, supermarket a few steps away, a few takeaways nearby but most restaurants are a bit further.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is ver well communicated: the entrance to the subway is just at the door. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood and the area is very quiet. The realtion between prove paid for tha stay and the services obtained is excellent.

Io e la mia ragazza abbiamo soggiornato all'hotel Belgrand.

This is my second time using Hotel Belgrand in Paris. The location is great and it only takes about 10-15 minutes to central Paris by train, which is about 10 feet from the hotel door. The area can be a bit noisy, but there's a supermarket nearby and a variety of options for lunch and dinner. The staff can't be nicer and will assist you if needed. The cost is great considering the location and the current rates of other establishments. I would highly recommend the Hotel, especially if you are travelling on a budget.

Stayed on March 08 for 2 nights with wife. It has a lift so heavy luggage was no problem for us. Staff was helpful, surroundings were Paris standard: quite and closed on Sunday. Room size was quite standard, we had a room with window view to street so it was a lovely room. The Hotel is located directly in front of a metro station (Porte de Bagnolet), we had to change metro at least 2 times to get to tourist attraction such as Champ or Eiffel, overall time for metro is 30-40minutes. My tips for you is to take RER A from Nation to save time instead of taking so many metro stops. For the price offered I think this hotel is good.

Really was a very small hotel, own by a rich Chinese business man. Really didn't up keep the place very well. Mold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a elevator but it's really small. Got two people and two big suitcases inside and it still was tight. Stayed on the 5th floor or top floor. Mold around the windows and in the closet and also in and around the shower walls. This place is definately what you pay for. The bakery across the street is wonderful and so is the market. McDonanld's is also down the street.

Hotel fine as descripted; small bedroom but clean.Close to metro stn. Ugly reception but kind personnel and very helpful. Didn't have breakfast so can't state the quality. Choose this if you're looking for a budget hotel and you won't regret it. Tornerei nuovamente.

Because of the Hotel Grade, I would like to suggest: More precisely to be explained the path between e.g. the Airport Roussy-Charles de Gaulle and Hotel : - The roughly time duration the travelling took…; - The tickets’ prices for RER and Metro.

This is a simple property on the outskirts of town. The metro stop is right outside the hotel, so you can easily venture into town. This property offers value in Paris. The beds are comfortable, and staff helpful. The rooms are a bit nosiy, but I was prepared for that. With the price of hotel rooms in Paris, this is worth a little discomfort.

Description of location was correct, it just didn't tell you which metro stop (port de bagnon - metro line 3). Got charged extra for breakfast which we thought was included in price. Hotel a bit shabby & in need of repair, but comfortable & clean, with friendly staff. Would definately go back to this hotel for a cheap holiday away from the high prices of the city centre. Would definately recommend the Italian restaurant next door, with 2 supermarkets within metres of the hotel, different restaurants & take-aways within yards, everything a weary traveller would need.

Me and my girlfriend, we have really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Belgrand. If you are looking for a great relationship between price/quality/location, clean room/bathroom, easy connection to the center of Paris and you do not mind minor complaints (as broken fridge, small rooms, not well ajusted wall-papers), pick this hotel. Since, once you are in Paris, you are spending whole day in the streets! :-) I would definitelly recommend this hotel to my friends and pick it again, if available.

The other reviews made it seem like the hotel was clean, friendly and close to a metro stop. In truth it was close to a metro stop. The rooms were dirty and loud (the noise may have just been bad luck) and the person who worked from 7am to 7pm was not friendly. The breakfast was a better value than you would get at a cafe, just don't ask for an extra roll. But, if you want a place with a private bathroom, this is as cheap as it gets in Paris.

Abbiamo soggiornato all'hotel Belgrand per 5 notti e ne siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti. Se dovessimo ritornare a Parigi sicuramente ritorneremo all'hotel Belgrand.

It has been a pleasure for me to stay there, in the hotel. For this "hot" summer period (mid of summer) it amazingly cheap. What do you need in Paris when you are nearly student age? Travel! First time stayed. Hotel could do with a little TLC but of course there are costs for the owners in this. I thought the service was adequate for the price and the only areas that I felt could have made my stay more enjoyable could have been a quieter night but that related to the location and there is little that can be done about that. The toilet flush was a bit suspect and perhaps a review of the efficiency of Room 11 could be in order. Enjoyed being in the location in terms of access to Metro, restaurants, bars, hairdresser, banks, Saturday market. Enjoyed feeling part of the community rather than some artificial touristy establishment separated from the locals. Staff were friendly. Thought that perhaps a little more variety could have been offerred in terms of breakfast.

My girlfriend and I stayed there for 7 nights. It is a nice little hotel close to a few grocery stores and some very good restaurants in Gambetta. The price was one of the best in town per night, even though it is a bit farther away from the center of the city. However, it was only 15 minutes away from the big attractions (Louvre, Arc de Triumphe). The only problem was making sure we returned early enough so that the metros were still running. Negatives about the room: The walls seemed a bit thin and we stayed on the 1st floor so the sounds of traffic were pretty loud. It was especially bad to hear sirens being that a police station is located near by.

The hotel accidentally overbooked, so I was sent to their sister hotel, about 4 blocks away. Everyone was very friendly, and the price did not increase.

The hotel is located in the perfect place - near to the metro, nice and quite clean area, shops - supermarkets and restaurants are near. Although the very nice staff working there, the cleanliness of the rooms was terrible - the floor wasn't clean not even once during our one-week stay there. Once i was given a dirty towel and there were HAIRS of the cleaning lady all around the room!!! It was really disgusting. But if you look for the generally nice CHEAP place with the good access to the city centre i can recomend it

I'd made my hotel reservation for Belgrand Hotel through Venere way before I arrived Paris. A few days before I arrived Paris, I received an email from Belgrand staff, asking if I wanted to confirm my reservation and notifying that the hotel had plumbing problem but would try their best to address the problem before I arrived. I confirmed the reservation, hoping that the problem would have already been resolved by the time I arrived, but no. When we were standing at the reception area, we saw a couple checking in. Then, my boyfriend who speaks very good French, asked the receptionist how the couple could get a room, but not us. The receptionist said that the water was enough for a certain no. of people. What that meant was that the hotel couldn't take any more guests. To our dismay, Belgrand sent us to Voltaire Hotel. The moment we checked in to Voltaire, we wanted to check out right away. This was because the place didn't look properly kept. Out of exhaustion, we went to the room on the 2nd Fl. The room was very small and they put two separate beds together, making it the king size bed. My boyfriend kept saying that we needed to look for another hotel, but I was very patient and optimistic that it would be ok. However, my patience ended when I had opened the curtain for the view outside to find that the room overlooks a really dirty, eye-sore scene. Even worse was the plumbing system at Voltaire didn't work, and that meant nor did the heating system. Can you imagine how bad it could get? My boyfriend and I decided that we needed to either change a hotel or a room. The hotel said that they would get us a new room which was much better. Upon leaving the room for another one, a maid came in to see if we had used anything even though we were in the room for only about 15 minutes maximum. She asked me in French if had used anything. My French wasn't as good but I could understand her. I told her, "Non." When she went into the restroom, she saw that

Rather spacious room (for the price), comfortable bed, bathroom was rather modern type (simple and functional), hot water supply and heating worked fine. Metro entrance is just in front of the hotel. Room's wallpaper was torn in some places. Overall, it's a hotel I can recommend at that price. The only real drawback is that it's quite noisy and not at all sound-proof, both with respect to adjacent rooms and with respect to traffic flowing on Rue Belgrand.

We spent 9 nights at the hotel and we paid 35 Euros for a double room with privat bathroom. GREAT! The room was small, the bed was little short, but really nothing to complain for the price we paid! The hotel is very close to the Metro 3, took me 11 steps, not much more then 10m from the Metro station to the hotel. Around the hotel are a few supermarkets and restaurants/snack bars, a small mall is one metro stop away. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, the breakfast cost 5 Euro and is cafe et croissant so we didn't take it. The hotel got a mini elevator for max 3 people but good enough for luggage. The rooms are small, the toilet isn't that small that you cannot move, our room even had a bathtub and using the toilet is no problem. The room is clean, fresh towels daily and clean sheets, the bed is old and lay through, but I slept well since we were busy the whole day, we found one bug though, but no big deal in Paris. The toilet and stuff is also old, the windows are old but keep the noise quite good away. It also got a small fridge and a TV with about 8-10 stations, some french, some german and CNN and MTV Germany. So overall I would give it 8 points because it is cheap, near the metro, clean and extremely friendly staff. So if you don't need comfort and just a cheap room to sleep, this is a good choice.

I read other peoples comments about this hotel before I booked it. I'm glad I did. Like everyone says, the hotel is small but perfect for someone who needs a budget hotel to rest at night. The room I had was small but it is larger than some of the $200+ a night hotels I've stayed in New York City. So, I was almost shocked that the room was larger than what I had expected. The walls are thin but I didn't have noisy neighbors. However, I did sleep with the windows open and the street noise is loud. So, don't forget your ear plugs. I did not have the breakfast there. The best thing about this hotel and its location is that the metro station is in front of the hotel. Not across the street but on the same sidewalk as the hotel. I traveled alone and it was wonderful that the metro was so close to the hotel esp. when I got back at 12:30am every night. The staff didn't speak much English but I knew that from other reviews. However, they were extra friendly and tried to help as much as they can. FYI, a block away from the hotel is an internet cafe. A good way to write home. :)

I selected the Belgrand, because it is in the direct neighbourhood of my daughters appartment. It is a very simple small hotel, but for a short stay (3 nights in our case) the hotel will do. Simple rooms, not too much space. Reasonable good beds, but with very bad pillows (very thin).

The hotel was more than enough for the one night we stayed but it is old, the rooms are very small and in the second room, the bed of the children was as hard is if they layed on the ground.
