For $130 Euros, is so wrong for a room that was basically a box. The cost should have been like 80 Euros. The room was cold, but not bad, it was clean and the bathroom was ok. The heater in the room didn't do much. But on a quiet street, and the room was very Quite. I would not recommend it for the price

Hotel was very close to metro and train station. It was clean and tidy at all times. The only negative was wi-fi connection, where password was not working to connect to Access Point, however we did not needed it that urgently.

We came as a family of four (with two teens). We had the top floor penthouse suit. It was a little small for four but totally adequate for our needs. Beds and showers were good. It was a bit hot one night; you must ask to have your air conditioner turned on by the staff (no buttons, run by a remote controled by the front desk). The air conditioner was barely sufficient. I should have had it turned on sooner but we were only there at night; left early in the mornings and came back late. We didn't pay the extra 8 euros per person for the breakfast so I can't comment on that. However, I would recommend the Pasteria close by; one block in the direction away from the Gare Lyon train station. The food is better than most and half the price of those close to the train station. The Hotel is very close to two train stations/metro stops: Gare Lyon (2-3 min walk) and Gare d'Austerlitz (5-10min walk accross the river). These gave quick access to many tourest destinations; Use Lyon for sites on the North East side of the river and Austerlitz for those on the south west side and to reach Versailles. The hotel was not as centrally located as I would have liked, but I choose it for easy access to an extremely early train we had scheduled at Lyon on our last day.

The hotel is really near Gare de Lyon/Metro and the Bastille neighborhood (filled with fun bars and restaurants), so its quite convenient to beginning your journey around Paris. That is certainly its greatest feature. Otherwise, the rooms are small (actually, everything is small--elevators, hallways), the TV didn't work, the staff won't offer recommendations, and the breakfast offered is NOT worth 9 euros. But - you're in Paris! what are you watching TV for anyway? Relatively affordable and conveniently located.

A small hotel located close to Gare de Lyon. Convenient to those who are taking the trains to South of France. The room is very small and overpriced (but then this is Paris). There is hardly any space to walk inside the room, and we can't even lay the bags open. The good thing about the hotel is that it is reasonably clean and the small elevator is able to take the bags upstairs. Recommended to those who only ask for a bed to sleep in.

The hotel is not friendly. There was no floor trap to drain water in bathroom and water spilled to room carpet. No bidet available. They were not happy to see water marks on the carpet. The management ordered breakfast without our permission. However things were sorted out later.

If you want a bed for the night close to Gare De Lyon, this hotel does it for you at a Parisian cost of course. Don't expect a room that is spacious or airy (we could not get the shuttered windows open as the curtain pole prevented this!) and being short definitely helps in these beds! The staff member who met us on arrival was rude and unpleasant, which we actually found funny, so take a sense of humour with you! A good tip is that there are a couple of great cafe's opposite the Gare de Lyon that stay open late and serve food with a friendly manner.

Hotel renewed in term of new room, new bathroom, new furnishing, new LCD TV but with with only 6 french channel bad tuned. Very clean room but not very big. Strategic position, near to Gare de Lyon and at 3 metro station. Personnel do not speak italian. Breakfast at 6€ is not cheap, look around.

This hotel was about what you would expect, considering that Paris is an expensive city and the cost of the room is reasonable. The ownership is doing some renovation; we got a room with a brand new bathroom, new paint job, new furnishings. While very small, the room was adequate. We were glad to have a lift, so that we didn't have to lug suitcases up and down the stairs. Our only complaint was the noise; since there's no air conditioning, the windows had to be open, and street noise was considerable.

Beware - many property characteristics listed on the website DO NOT match what is actually in the hotel. Although the listing says that there is wireless Internet, there is no Internet at all (except dialup if you have a membership with a dialup provider). Ironing facilities ARE NOT "available upon request." The front desk assistant who was busy watching a football match did not know anything about an iron or an ironing facility. The floor in my room did not seem to have been cleaned in a while, but I guess that is normal for Paris budget hotels. The room prices are good for Paris and you will get an average bathroom and a place to sleep....but don't expect anything special. The tiny breakfast room is underground with no windows...rather dungeon-like. In addition to some surprisingly good coffee, you will get a croissant and some other bread products for breakfast...but nothing more. Not recommended for celiacs!

Having booked this weeks in advance we thought we would get rooms close together, but no the kids were on the top floor , my wife and I on the ground floor. The noise from the street, the sound of water descending pipes just by the bed along with noisy neighbours meant we hardly slept at all. The receprionist was not helpful at all, could speak english but decided not to and didn't know how to work the visa machine so we ended up paying cash. We won't be staying there again!

My Girl Scouts and I loved this hotel. It was near Gare du Lyon and easily accessible to the metro. Note on the weekend, we had trouble finding breakfast. I would suggest the purchase of the hotel's breakfast that they offer. We will use this hotel for our next trip in 2007.

We were in a qudruppe in garret. The room was very small, but was clean. There is a small bathroom. It wasn't from time to time warm water. The accommodation was near to Metro line1., and so to sightseeing is very excellent. We were in accomodation only in night. So was it adequate.

I booked a single room and was provided with a small, well kept room with very efficient, very clean, bathroom. This hotel is close to Gare de Lyon and a short walk to the Bastille rotary, with all the restaurants and shops. Very convenient - a good economic choice for those who will not be using their room for much more than sleeping.

This was a convenient hotel for the Gare de Lyon. There was no mention of whether breakfast was extra or included in the price and there was no response to an e-mail asking about this (it was extra). The only drawback was that their card machine was broken and the only way to settle the bill was by cash which was an inconvenience.

Loved the location - safe area, near metro, close to shops & cafes. Room very clean. Expected friendlier service as hotel industry dependent on tourism. One staff member most curt. Did not explain phone fees or breakfast option. Not helpful in planning return to airport. Would not provide towels when none in room. Remainder of desk and cleaning staff attempted to assist when request made.

All I wanted was clean, basic accomodation, somewhere that I could sleep and charge my mobile phone. That's exactly what I got. The room was spartan, the corridor was dark and the breakfast was a waste of money, but the hotel is convenient for Paris Bercy, was easy to find and I slept well.

This hotel was exactly what it advertised it would be: a hotel near the Gare de Lyon. We had an early train and wanted to stay near the station. This hotel is three short blocks from the station. At our arrival we told the lady at the reception that we want to stay for only 2 days. She told us she doesnt take us. We sayd that we are going to pay for the whole stay which was 4 days. She got mad but took us. At our 2.day we came back to the hotel late in the evening, very tired and we just wanted to take a shower and relax. There were no towels in the room! We had to wait 2 hours because they were in the washingmashine...

A wonderful little hotel in a great area, with very friendly and helpful staff. The quality of the room and bath was superb. The location is very convenient for metro to the major Paris sites. We found the Bastille area to be very pleasant and lively, with shops and restaurants filled with actual Paris residents as opposed to the tourists on the left bank.
