In relation to the city and to the price, can be considered a good solution to visit Paris for a few days...if you dont consider the carpet and upholstery, rather spotted, due to the time. Comfortable bathroom.

We had a short stay of 4 days in Paris at the end of a long trip and needed somwhere cheap to stay. This hotel was perfect for that. The rooms are small (as expected in Paris) and a bit dated, but they are clean and the bed was comfortable. Location is convenient with easy access to the underground and there are plenty of places to eat in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Very charming hotel. The room was on the smaller side but comming from NYC, not too shabby. Location was great, walking distance from the Marais and short metro to the major attractions. Staff was very nice and even helped me out with a phone problem. You don't need to speak French that well but it is always appreciated (I guess). For the price it was an overall great experience, perfect neighborhood. But note that I live in a prewar brownstone in the city and do not mind a little wear and tare. The decor in the halways is kind of cool and there are winding staircases (also an elevator, don't worry!) If you want charming and not "touristy" this is the place for you, if you want antiseptic and Eifel Tower pancakes then probably not. I would totally go back. One complaint: there was kind of a funky smell in the room and we couldn't figure out where it was comming from. Maybe it was us?

Very friendly staff, very clean, the twin room we had was a bit small but the bath room with tub was very generous for Parisian hotels, the street is an always lively street however the windows were very sound proof, stayed in mid October, heating worked perfect as well as hot water, Hotel is close to Metro station Parmentier, the 'quartier' around the hotel is a healthy lively area with lots of small shops and small restaurants also available late, an excellent food marketnear by, walking distance to Pere Lachaise cemetery and to Canal St Martin, only issue was the 'coffre de securite' which did not function in our room despite repeated efforts by the staff.

The bathroom is smaller than my under-the-stairs closet and I could not fit into the shower without turning to the side (I am 180cm, 77kg). The bedroom was clean but utterly tiny. Internet didn't work which was not so much of an annoyance to me but I guess it would have been for others. €4 for 4hrs of internet though, is ridiculous. All hotel internet should be free. Our room was on the second floor and there was a street lamp shining RIGHT into the room, though this is not the fault of the hotel.

For a 2-star hotel in a very convenient location, this was a good value. They've made an effort in sprucing up the public areas and in replacing some of the room fixtures. The bathroom was brand new, and everything was clean. Some things still need work (draperies and bed-spread were rather shabby), but that's what makes the difference between 2 and 3 stars. The only real inconvenience was the street noise--they have double-glazed windows, but with the windows open in summer, there was traffic noise. If you're a light sleeper, it's worth asking for a courtyard room. All in all, a good option if you want a warm welcome, good breakfast, easy access to the metro in a non-touristy neighborhood, and don't care about luxury accommodations.

Our stay at ”Beausejour” was full of troubles. We had to change rooms twice because of damages: Big water leak in the bathroom with water coming out to the bedroom. Next day changing to a new room, where the electric light at one of the beds was out of order. After some days the lock of the window was caught. The staff opened it up but then you could not lock the window. A night with unlocked window on the fifth floor. Next day we changed from a room with a double bed, which we had asked for, to a room with a twin bed. Because of all troubles we had, I asked the receptionist if she would be kind to tell the manager that we expected and would appreciate a reduction of our bill. She lost her temper and became rude and begun to insult my wife talking something about negative vibrations from her that could have caused the damages in the rooms. Not a very professional behavior from the receptionist. We did not get any answer from the manager on our demand, but the bill was not reduced.

The room was in need of necessary reparation (leakage in bathroom) – staff was impolite and offensive, unwilling to help out the damages, not even offering a good compensation. The hotel is dangerous in case of fire.

If you are just after a bed for the night, as opposed to a 5* hotel, then this is fine. Just a short (and easy) metro ride to the centre of paris, it is located ideally, and slightly cheaper as it is not smack bang in the middle of all the action. The rooms were small (much smaller than shown in the picture) but this doesn't matter if you are going to spend the day sight seeing. The metro runs late so getting back is not a problem. Breakfast was offered (and smelt nice) but we decided not to have it in the guest house, as there are cafes dotted all around paris. There is also the option of leaving your bags at the guest house whilst you go sightseeing. All in all, a very nice stay, and a very laid back team.

This is a very nice hotel! Not very spacious, but who cares when you're a student and want to live in a great location for a rather cheap price! Wouldn't say that the room was very clean, actualy it was rather dusty and there were some nasty spots on the bed cover. But the service is excelent! GREAT THANKS to Stefan! A very nice and friendly person! It could be cleaner, but anyway it's nice! If you're on a budget and want to live close to the center - that's your choice!

This hotel is a good place to stay if you are on a budget. The hotel itself is great, updated, and clean. The rooms are small but expected for Paris. You are saving money because of the location, which is a metro ride away from everything, not walkable to many places. A couple small places to grab food nearby, and an amazing tiny restaurant about two doors down. I would stay here again if I were traveling on a budget.

Stayed 3 nights for 60 euros a night, it is a good cheap hotel, room was small but quiet, bathroom was good size with good shower. Staff were mostly friendly and helpful. My only real complaint was the state of the carpet in the room which was pretty filthy. The location is pretty good, its away from the touristy parts of Paris but easy to get to anywhere you want by Metro, and the Rue Oberkampf is nearby which has lots of good restaurants and bars. The breakfast is very average and I wouldn't bother paying the 7 euros for it, there are many bakeries and cafes nearby where you can get much better. Overall I enjoyed my stay for the price and would reccomend it to anyone looking for good cheap accomodation.

Single traveler, I just needed a place to sleep at night so I didn't spend much time in the room but it was everything I was told. Room was clean, bathroom with fresh towel. Employees were very nice and helpfull. One flaw though, there was no hot water in the morning but according to the staff, it was only temporary (heating device broke)

It was a nice hotel, for this rate of course...we payed 76€ for a double room. The metro "Parmentier" is really close to the hotel. The rooms were cleaning each day, but the courtains and the blankets were dirty, thanks good the sheets were perfectly cleaned and ironed. The surroundings are ok, it's calmed, you can walk till La Bastille, Council, les halles (10-15 min) Just to sleep in Paris, it is ok, cause when you back, the room is made and cleaned with new towels ah! the wc is into the room. It is a "cheap" hotel but at least clean. buen viaje!

The breakfast is not included in the price. You must tell them when you check-in if you want breakfast. (It is not worth the 6 euro). We were not able to eat breakfast the first day but were still charged. The front of the hotel is very noisy. Without air conditioning, we were not able to open our window due to the street noise. It became very warm in our room. The bathroom looked cleaned but smelled of mold and mildew. The room was small but adequate. The location is close to the #3 metro line (in front of McDonalds) but you will have to change lines to get to the tourist spots. Getting back, the #3 line was not well marked and we had to search alittle to find it. Some of the front desk help spoke English and some did not. The ones that spoke English were very helpful. There are several restaurants nearby and it is off the beaten path. If we had a quieter room without the smell, I would stay here again.

This is a nice hotel. Nice room with a nice bathroom, convenient location (near the Rue Oberkampf area). Very friendly and helpful staff. The main drawback is that it is right on a street with lots of traffic (Avenue Permentier). But with the windows closed, it was not really very noisy. But in hot weather, it might be a problem.

Though there are more beautiful parts of paris and Bastille, this hotel is situated in a pleasant area in walking distance of sites and plenty of good restaurants and shops. It is a pleasant little hotel. The rooms are clean and well provided and the hotel is everything you would expect for the price. The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful and courteous, there were even boxes of chocolates at reception as it was the Xmas/New Year season. Breakfast is excellent and generous and fantastic value. I will definitely stay there again.
