Hotel Beaunier - Paris

We went to Paris for new year's eve and it was a last minute booking so we didn't have many choices. We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The man at the reception was very friendly and he had a good level of English. There was no lift in the hotel, we had to carry our luggage to the 4th floor. The room was so small and the street was noisy at night. But the room was clean and the shower and toilet were working properly. We ate breakfast outside the hotel because there were lots of cafes around. In the past, we stayed in better looking rooms for 90 euro, but this hotel room was ok just for sleeping and having a shower in the room. The hotel is 3 minute walking distance from metro station (porte d'orleans) The public parking garage is 10minute walking distance away, and it was 20euro per night.

The 14th arrondissement is a bit off the beaten track but is quite attractive and well-connected via subway. Beaunier is a quiet street in a slightly blue-collar,multicultural area; it seemed safe, especially during the day. Take-out snacks are available (good bakery just down the street)and there are more upscale cafés/restaurants on nearby boulevard Jourdan. The owners are young and friendly and know a little English. They have travelled a bit themselves (they love Québec) and try to make guests as pleasant as possible. The only caution - the rooms are small, as is the downstairs breakfast area. It would have been a better value if a little cheaper, but Paris is an expensive city. Many of the guests were French on a limited budget like the rest of us.

A nice place to stay in Paris... A good choice for those who will be in the city by day and just need a place to sleep at night. Parisian hotels are notoriously tiny, and this is certainly no exception, but our room was clean and had everything we needed.

I stayed at Hotel Beaunier for one night. This is a lovely budget property - clean, well located in proximity to cafes, the metro and the RER service. For the price, an extremely pleasant stay.

This was the first time to stay in Paris, so we had no 2 star hotels to compare it to. It was a comfortable enough place for the 1 night we were there, and the staff were very pleasant. There is a bakery/cafe a few doors away, and breakfast would have been more interesting there.

Hotel did their best in an old building, which was a bit modernised, but ..........
