Hôtel Beaumarchais - Paris

One of the towels was dirty (or seemed to be..), quite unpleasant. Quality/price ratio not good.

This hotel is well located...worths only for 1 night !

We stayed at Hôtel Beaumarchais on January 26, 2009 when visiting Paris for "Picasso et les Maîtres" exhibition. We choosed this hotel because it was from walking distance to the flat of our friend in Le Marais. The location is quite good, 10 mn walk from major city points of interest such as Place de la Bastille, Place des Vosges, Le Marais. there is an underground station very close to the hotel. The green line n°7 brings you within a few minutes to Place de la Madeleine, Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysées. The hotel is quiet, even the room in front of the street we occupied thanks to soundproof windows. Please note that if you want to stay in bed on morning the curtains are unefficient to block the light. We had an excellent continental breakfast,served in our room with fresh viennoiseries, bread and marmelade. The orange juice was home made... That was a plus. However, we did not appreciate the price we paid for the room, which is definitely too high for the hotel situation and category. (148 € incl. breakfast)

The hotel room was dirty and smelly. And don't be fooled by the pictures. There is nothing cool or cute about this place. We actually decided to eat the one-night cancellation fee and stay somewhere else. This is after we looked at three different rooms there, including the "upgrade" to the best room. We found several better hotels with nicer rooms for approximately the same amount of money.

Loved the "Bohemia" feel of the hotel and neighborhood. If you are an up tight traveler, this neighborhood is not for you. We thought is was awesome but probably not suited for a "mature couple" Eat at the cafe Ave Marie near the hotel, funky

Having stayed for only a couple of nights I can't be too critical.However,there were issues that although not critical should have been forseen and remedied.Example,safe in room worked on batteries which were prone to failure.Lack of power sockets (most travellers now have so much electronic gear its important to be able to charge them).Window not lockable.

Nice, clean and well run hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to metro. Adequate breakfast, though somewhat expensive.

La salle de bain de la chambre single est à la taille du lit : minuscule ! et le rideau de douche en plastique qui se colle à la peau est très très désagréable... ! par contre, le personnel de l'hôtel est d'une extrême gentillesse

An excellent value. I stayed in a single with shower which was much larger than most singles in Europe. The breakfast was good. Nice lounge area and a selection of Paris guides to use as a resource. Very close to rue Oberkampt Metro and Place de la Republique. A variety of interesting, useful shops are close by. The neighborhood is not overrun with tourists which is a relief after dealing with the area around Notre Dame. I've been to Paris several times so I didn't need to stay in the center. I preferred a less stressful atmosphere. There are a large variety of cafes and restaurants with all kinds of cuisines to choose from. I'd recommend it to my friends.

Lovely stay, rooms small but pefectly acceptable. Nicely decorated and located in a nice area, easily accesible by metro. Staff were also very friendly and spoke English. Overall, an excellent budget accomodation.
