Beaubourg is a fantastic, intimate and well appointed hotel in the Marais, a great part of Paris to base your stay. We were upgraded to a larger room which exceeded our expectations for Paris, the room was well appointed and had a comfortable ambience. The hotel is right across from the Pompidou centre, easy walk to the metro and the great shopping and cafes and the Marais. We would stay at Beaugourg again. I would add though that the breakfast is not good value (we wouldn't include breakfast next time, not much provided with expensive optional extras) and the provision of an in room safe would be a pleasant addition. Overall, a great hotel.

The Beaubourg is a fine hotel located near the Metro and many of the main sights such as the Louvie, the Orsey and Notre Dame. The personnel at the hotel provided friendly and helpful advice on places to eat and thing to do and see. The rooms a the bathroom were clean and the breakfast room and food was fine (coffee, tea, bread, croissants and cereal). I would stay at Beaubourg Hotel again and would recommend it to friends as a place to stay while in Paris.

Hotel Beaubourg is conveniently located right behind the Pompidou. This is great, but at night it gets a little over-quiet if you know what I mean. The room was pathetically small (even by European standards) and paying 135 Euros for that was a rip-off. The service was nice and the concierge was very helpful and spoke a bit of English.

A bit too expensive. The prices have been raised too much in the last couple of years. They are potentially pricing themselves out of the market.

Hotel Beaubourg in Paris is a small congenial hotel in a wonderfully convenient location. The room was tiny but very clean and had all the necessities available. There is a very homey feel about staying there, the staff is pleasant and helpful. The breakfast available at the hotel was very enjoyable and convenient.

Comfortable hotel, clean, rather small bathroom but nice and functional, room quiet (to the courtyard), very well located (near metro, restaurants, Notre Dame, Louvre, shops). Price/quality very well. The next time we go to Paris we will surely stay at the same hotel.

My wife and I stayed here on our holiday. The room was much larger than we expected for Paris. It was clean, comfortable and had a view of the quaint courtyard. Staff were fantastic and very willing to speak English. Amir was particularly helpful and always went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was wonderful.

We spent 3 nights here. The owners/staff were polite but reserved. The Room was excellent and spotlessly clean. We received fresh towels each day. The location was brilliant - tucked away down a little side street immediately opposite the Pomp. Centre. We used room number 22 and were very pleased with it. Small breakfast room is lovely too.

We found the hotel was in a great location, and a little better than we anticipated. While the rooms are compact, we had a very quiet room, good bathroom, comfy bed and air conditioning which was essential as temps. were in the high 30s celcius. We would stay again, and recommend to our friends. We found the staff friendlier than some had rated them. Loved the little breakfast area, and the breakfast was comparable to nearby cafes.

The pictures on the website were very accurate of the rooms and breakfast area. The best part of this hotel was the location, within easy walking distance to Centre Pomipidou, several metro stops, and of course Notre Dam. It was nice to have access to free internet to check email. I would stay at this hotel again, wish the price was less but Paris in general is costly.

We loved this hotel! It was a real good find. The location is excellent in the 4th Arr. Right next to the Pompidou Centre. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The decor is a bit old fashioned but that didn't bother us. I would definitely recommend and go back here!

Pleasant enough rooms. Everythings very pricey in Paris, so the rooms were not too bad value. Odd fabric walls - you'll see. Good location 30ft from Pompidou centre. Thoroughly unfriendly staff, particularly one woman on reception. Also the do not disturb sign means nothing to them. Overall, I've stayed in worse. Good location, small, but clean rooms, if not a bit on the hot side.

My daughter and I totally enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Beauborg. We had only one mix-up relative to a shuttle service to the airport. We made a reservation, realized we made a mistake re the time we needed to be picked up. So we changed the time with hotel staff - who called in the correct new time. The shuttle service said they did not get the call, but I know they did, as I was present during the call. Not the hotel's fault, but I though I'd note it anyway, as it was a service offered at the hotel.

Our stay at Beaubourg was excellent. Contrary to popular belief, the French were very friendly, and helpful and courteous. We found the hotel easily, with the map at the metro station. It gave us an accurate idea of exactly where the hotel was, because the smaller street was not on the map of Paris given to us by our travel agent, and there was no map provided by the hotel (only the closest Metro station). We did not eat at the hotel, but there are numerous cheap places that sell Baguettes in the area, and lots of restaurants to choose from. The lady at reception was not a local, so could not recommend any restaurants for us to try, but we were able to find plenty, some better than others, in the Marais district. The room itself was smaller than other rooms we'd seen in in Europe during the trip (in Italy), but it was clean, and sufficient. The bathroom was also a bit older, but well kept and clean. Our room overlooked a courtyard of sorts, and was quiet and being on the 4th floor we always felt we had plenty of privacy. There was a small lift to the fourth level. Also the hotel provided a computer with internet access, and bluetooth for any guests to access the internet (just on the lobby level), which was great, and much preferable than searching for internet cafes. We were probably 25 meters away from the Pompidou Centre, and 15 mins walk from the Louvre, 10 mins from Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter. Its a great central position! We found the walk to the Eiffel Tower and Champs Ellysees a bit long and tiring, but there are great touring boats on the River Seine, and of course the Metro. There are lots of shops nearby, and markets to satisfy all tastes! Overall it was the best position, and a great stay!

Third time in Paris. Beauborg was like a "country retreat" in the city; convenient to trains, metro, shopping, art, nightlife and food. Very convenient to the Marais. The Hotel Beaubourg was in an excellent location in a quiet street just a couple of blocks from the Centre Pompidou and metro stations right in Le Marais. The room and bathroom were small but this is the norm in Paris; still good enough for one or two people. The room was clean, with air conditioner, and cable TV. The sheets were not the best but this isn't The Ritz. Did not try the breakfast, which is now 9 euros, because there are cafes around where you can have pastries and coffee for half that price. There are also lots of restaurants around. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. And for the gays, there is a gay bar right across the street but you would not know it because it's unassuming and quiet. One of the best values for the money in Le Marais.

To celebrate my birthday we decided to go to Paris for a dew days, A city I have been to on numerous occasions. The Beaubourg is in a narrow street off a busy boulevard, on the edge of the Marais district and a stone's throw away from the Pompidou Centre. I had thought being so close to the centre would somehow be off-putting but it was not at all. In fact the location was excellent and we could easily walk to all areas without any problems. In fact when we were in Paris there was a Metro strike which meant we had to walk. The room itself was more spacious than I had expected and the quality of the furnishings was better too. We were at the front of the hotel but I did find the illuminated Beauborg sign beside our window a bit bright when trying to get to sleep. The staff were very helpful and friendly and their English was excellent, although my French isn't bad. We are not big breakfast eaters and the breakfast was more than enough for us. The public internet access was a single PC in the ground floor corridor and sometimes it was difficult to gain access. Occasionally, perhaps more often than that, the connection speed was pretty dreadful - nevertheless considering it was free access I shouldn't really complain. Overall, we really, really enjoyed our stay in Paris and the hotel only added to the pleasure of those few days. From the experience I had of the hotel I would definently recommend it. It's nothing especially out of the ordinary but it was a perfectly comfortable and pleasant place to stay.

Great central location in Le Marais which really saved us since the Metro/buses were on strike, and we could walk to many of the key central city sites in 1er, 2e, 3e, 4e arrondissements. It is located within 3-5 minutes walking distance to several Metro transfer stations. Easy to tell a taxi driver to just go to Pompidou along Rue du Renard/Beaubourg since the hotel is in a small street just across from the museum. The rooms are clean and decent size for Paris standards. Loved the complimentary wi-fi and desktop PC in the lobby area. The 8 Euro continental breakfast is expensive (US$12 when we were there). There are many bakeries and even Starbucks with fresh pasteries and coffee within a few blocks. The hotel-obtained airport shuttle to CDG is a good deal.

This is a small Hotel with gests from all over the world. We stay there 9 nights; room was very nice, clean, and a lot of space in the bathroom. There is a build-in hairdryer, but take with you a bar of soap and don't forget your shampoo. There are a few minutes walk to 4 metro stations, a lot of café, supermarkets. We loved our accommodations. Staff very friendly, especially Kais, helped us a lot. Breakfast in the hotel is not expensive at all - 8 euro, outside a cup of coffee is 6. The next time we will try to stay there again - the price is right.

Hotel was very clean and it was in an incredible location. Just 3-4 minute walk to Hotel de Ville and 5 minute walk to the batobus (the boat that makes stops at different tourist attractions on La Seine). Also, crossed the river and the Notre-Dame was just 7-10 minute walk from the hotel. We are very picky travelers and we normally don’t stay in 3* hotels but I would definitely go to this one again. The room was on the smaller side and the bathroom was ok for 2 people but small places are very typical of Paris. We didn’t eat at the hotel. I am not even sure if the restaurant was open.

Stayed in this hotel in August of 06. The map of the location was spot on and the welcome was pleasant. Only a few minutes walk from Rue de Rivoli. I rated the spaciousness of the room 8/10, and I found it spacious enough for a hotel room in Paris. You have to bear in mind that unless you are paying top dollar in Paris, all rooms are relatively small. I would certainly stay here the next time I am in Paris, I would recommend to any single/couple travelers. Some very good restaurants near the hotel, especially if you like Indian cuisine ;-) Great location for walking distance to Notre Dame or the Louvre.

We especially enjoyed the staff. The breakfast room is lovely. The room was on the fourth floor and got hot at night, which was not solved by the hotel, but we opened the window and were fine. I don't think the AC was on as it was mid March. The location is great for the price. Not right in the Marais, across the street from the Pompideau, walking distance to everything if you are a walker, pleasant view and quiet. We had a double room.

Our room faced the interior courtyard so it was super quiet - a big bonus when trying to overcome that nasty jet lag from the West Coast of the US! The room was very spacious by European standards, very comfortable and decorated in a lovely way. It also had a window that opened, which is a MUST for me as I always find hotel rooms too hot at night to sleep comfortably. All in all, I'd stay there again - of course, it would be better if the dollar wasn't so weak vs. the Euro but it was worth the extra expense. Great neighborhood too.

I have finally found a hotel in Paris that I would actually stay at again.

The Hotel Beaubourg is a delightful boutique hotel very conveniently located in the Marais. The rooms are not large but the style, presentation, and cleanliness of the rooms, and the hospitality of the management, are exemplary. We have on both occasions had a quiet double room overlooking the small attractively planted central courtyard. We enthusiastically recommend this hotel and will be using it again on our next visit to Paris.

If you had someone living at the room above you could clearly hear them. It was sometimes a little distrubing. I think that the cost for breakfast was to hig.

I (44 years old) stayed there with my nice (14 years old) just for a weekend-trip. For such a short trip the hotel is excellent. The room was smaller than expected for twinsize but clean and comfortable. If you kept the windows closed during the night it was quiet. We didn't have Breakfirst at the hotel, and didn't need much service of the hotel-employees. Therefore I can't tell much about the service and competence of the hotel employees. The hotel is located very central, you could do a lot of sightseeing without metro or bus. If you want to go to other parts of Paris, the next metro station is very close (about 50 m). For a short stay the hotel ist very good, but I wouldn't stay longer than a few nights you need more space.

Hotel Beaubourg was well worth the price. The front desk was very friendly and accommodating. They switched my assigned room so that I could use an elevator and wouldn't have to carry my luggage up a set of stairs. The room was comfortable and warmly decorated with a nice big bathroom. (It was nice to have a 'real' shower with a glass door!) Location is well placed. It's a strange, short alley/ road, but it's maybe 100 yards from Le Centre Pompidou. My only words of advice are to be prepared to wind your luggage through narrow hallways. That was my only slightly small hindrance.

What a fantastic time my 3 girl friends and I had in Paris. We were there to celebrate a 50th birthday and it was the first time my friends had not been on an organised vacation so they were sceptical. We fell in love with the city and there is so much to do! The first day we walked all the way to and from the Eiffel Tower, visting the Lovre and walked along the Champ Elysses which was great. We stopped for lunch at a cafe need the Eiffel Tower. As you would expect there were long queues for the Eiffel Tower but it was well worth the wait, the views were amazing. On the way back, we stopped in the vicinity of the Louvre where there was a Fairground and my friends took a ride on the Big Wheel. The following day we went on the Hop On and Off boat on the Seine which was really good value for money. On our last day we visited the Notre Dam before our journey home. The hotel was very comfortable and in a good location. There were plenty of places to eat in the vicinity which were very reasonably priced. Next time I visit will be with my husband and I would love to stay at the Beauborg Hotel.

The beautifully decorated room was small. We were fortunate to be facing the courtyard which was very quiet and the garden is lovely. We most appreciated the free internet access. We highly recommend staying here.

Nice, very quiet hotel in the heart of Paris. A bit difficult to locate at first (rue Simon-Le-Franc is very tiny), but follow rue du Renard from metro Hotel de Ville. It is right next to the Centre George-Pompidou. Good service, very clean. Renovated bathrooms. Breakfast was ok (not much, but good and fresh) and your budget allows you a little extra, you can order eggs, a rarety in Paris!

My daughter and I were quite satisfied with the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the room and the bathroom with tub and shower was a real treat. Everything appeared to be newly remodeled and done well. It was a little noisy at times with the building being remodeled next door. The hotel was convenient to the metro and the staff was helpful in giving directions. Thank you for helping make my daughters graduation trip a great experience for us.

The bathtub was very short if you are not a midget. The location was very close to the Pompidou center, a short distance to everything. That was an advantage.

Overall our stay at Hotel Beaubourg was great. We did hear occasional hammering and drilling, but, other than that, the room was very quiet. The shower set up is a little awkward, but not bad.

The hotel was a great value for the price. When I checked ij I was given a smoking room but I was able to switch to a non-smoking room for the same price. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was fully tiled and very clean. I would definitely stay here again. It was also very, centrally located just a few steps to the underground.

An excellent location on the edge of Le Marais: close enough to feel part of it, but not so close you're kept awake at night by revellers. Hotel was pleasant and understated, as were the staff. Our room had a bath and shower, which I hear is not that common for hotel rooms in Paris. Breakfast was French *and* filling and the breakfast room itself was superb, especially the old well (?!) in the corner. On my recommendation my brother and his wife have decided to stay there in April.

The location shown by Venere.com is wrong. The hotel is three blocks north of Rue de Rivoli, not south of it as Venere.com shows. The hotel is right behind the Centre Pompidou.

We would stay at the Beaubourg again. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were reasonably helpful in answering our tourist questions (though no long-lost cousins here), and the location is superb. A half-block from the Pompidou Center, a fifteen minutes' walk from the Louvre, likewise from Notre Dame and Saint Chapelle. We thought the hotel breakfast (an extra) was a bit expensive until we saw what was on offer in the immediate neighborhood. Then we decided it was worth having, and it was actually pretty good. A general comment about Paris - the "National Lampoon's European Vacation" stereotype about Parisians and Anglo-Saxon tourists seems completely outdated. We found people pleasant, friendly, and _willing to speak French to us_! We had fun, and would gladly go back.

When we stayed the room, there was construction going on in the next building. The noise was intolerant, so we had to ask the front desk to change the room. However, there was no other room available. The noise went on from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We couldn't stay in our room because of the noise. Except that problem, the hotel was very nice! I'd love to go back again. (if there's no noise!)

The best thing about the hotel was the location in the 4th district. It was near Notre Dame and what seemed to be a busy city center where many restaurants and other conveniences are available. However, the hotel was almost impossible to find based upon the directions/instructions posted on Venere's website. The Venere website only tells you to stop and get off at Chatelet, but then what? Venere fails to tell you that Chatelet is a major metro station with numerous transfer points and exits onto different streets, so one can very easily get lost. The problem is the hotel is virtually unheard of, and there are very many short streets in Paris. Thus, no one can tell you where exactly the hotel is or where the street (Simon le Franc) even is. We asked the information desk at the Chatelet station and were pointed in different directions by two different people. When we got out of the subway station into the street, we asked a French policeman who did not know where the street was and told us that we were in the wrong district (No. 11) to begin with. He pointed us generally toward the 4th district. Finally, after asking further and walking with our luggage for about 20 minutes up and down the busy streets of Paris, (with my insistence to my husband that the street must be right around the corner), we finally flagged down a taxi. The taxi driver himself had never heard of the street and had to pull out a map to find it. When we finally were driven to the street, there was some doubt that the hotel even existed because it was hidden behind some construction going on next door (that’s another story… see below). Instead of getting off at Chatelet, it is much, much better to transfer from the Chatelet station over to Line 11 and getting off a Rue Rumbateau and exiting up the subway station to that street. Then you’d just be about 1-2 blocks away from the hotel. Otherwise, if you get off a Chatelet, I’d say you’re at least 10 blocks away from the hotel. The hot

This hotel is a great budge hotel in Paris. Located right next to the Pompidou Center, there's a metro stop that's one block away (Rambuteau). The room is not very big, but good enough for two people. The bathroom was surprisingly large though. Almost half of the room size! During our stay, the building next door was being remodeled, so at 9:30AM in the morning on weekdays, we would hear constant "da-da-da" noise... other than that though, the room is very quiet and a window oversees a tiny courtyard. Decoration is in the public area and in the room is good. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.
