This was a great location!! If you are not going to be hanging out in your room this is the place to stay at. The corner cafe has awesome food, not to mention the bakery that is steps away. The Metro is right across the street and it will take you anywhere in a few minutes. If I had to book again I'd book this hotel.

Stayed one night on a business trip. Perfectly adequate and clean 2* hotel. Wifi in the room worked fine. The hotel is right next to Pasteur metro and has good walking access to Montparnasse and the surrounding quartiers. No complaints

Very nice hotel. Warm stuff approach. Good locality. Metro station, good and so expensive restaurant, shop - everything is so close. We really enjoy our stay here. The only one problem was some strange ... hard noise from the street around 4 a.m. every early morning.

The hotel was nice and close to the metro-station. It was clean and the staff was ok. The bed was really small for 2 people and there was no airconditioning, so we had to leave the window open and the street was quite noisy. You have to pay your whole stay at arrival, so make sure you have enough money with you. We came in late at night and wanted to pay only the first night, but that was impossible. If you are just looking for a cheap place to sleep this hotel is perfect, but don't expect too much!

Rooms very clean. No smell of cigarettes but might be good to have designated NON-smoking rooms. Bathroom was REALLY VERY small. If you are size 58 + (man) you may not get into it. The Openning/enterance is very narrow. The Dayshift reseptionist was excellent - highly, highly competent and supportive. Communication was a real pleasure! The Nightshift needs more cooperativeness. Overall rating - a very good hotel for the price. If needed - will come back.

A compact room that is very clean but in need of a remodel. The cleaning staff would come in regardless of the sign left on the door when we left, and would leave the balcony doors wide open which made us a bit uncomfortable leaving valubles in the room. Hotel policy is to leave your key at the front desk everytime you leave, which we thought was a bit odd. The small refridgerator was well stocked but missing the front door and not working. We came in on a Saturday and slept with the window/door open because it was very warm (no AC). It was a very loud outside that night so we did'nt sleep well. Sunday we did the same but it was quieter. The room was a bit run down but also very clean and the staff was very friendly and would communicate in English sufficeintly. I would recommend this to persons who are traveling on a budget and not looking to spend much time in the room. It is in a good location to walk to major attractions and close to the city public bike rental station. Small cafes and bakeries around it. If you are looking for roomy comfort you should look elsewhere.

The bulb in the bathroom was not fixed despite repeated reminders to both day and night reception staff. The explanation received was "we did not have the bulb". I had to shave in the dark or in the bedroom. How can I escalate it to the Hotel management?

Room was extremely small. Not much room to walk around bed, or for two suitcases. Bed was not that comfortable. TV was nice, but no channels in English were offered. No air conditioning, had very small porch w/ door that you could open for air. Extremely close to subway, so very convenient -although not too much around hotel itself. Staff couldn't answer some general questions about the locations of certain places, such as a train station that we needed to go to. Overall, room was clean.

The Hotel was in a great location, right next to the metro, Eiffel Tour was in walking distance (although quite a long walk). The Hotel was in a beautiful traditional Paris building. The rooms were small but clean. Disabled people would not be able to use the room we were in because of the stairs and the size of the bathroom! Only issue was the 24 hour reception(!) which was unattended on the Saturday night when we came back at 1am, the room keys were all on the reception counter with the room numbers on them so any one off the street could have gone into any room they liked!

What a BEAUTIFUL City. The hotel location is great. It is within walking distance of the Effiel Tower and Dome Church. There are many open park areas nearby. There is plenty of resturant choices near the hotel. The Metro station is in front of the hotel. The hotel staff was always so helpful.. Thank you for a great stay.

A convenient location for accessing the metro and the rest of Paris. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Friendly staff and very good service. Noisy at night due to traffic noise, but this was a city centre - no air conditioning meant we had to keep the window open at night.

Rooms are very very little, but clean, quiet and nice. Near the hotel there are the metro (Pasteur), a couple of coffee, patisserie and also a supermarket. We had a problem the first night (a double instead of a twin) but reception solves the problem for the other days. We arrived late in the night and had no problem for that. We call and write emails directly to the hotel to have confirmation and made some little changes and we had no problem. They reply to our emails very quickly. I suggest this hotel if you plan to use the room only to sleep. Eiffel tower is not so far, we are gone there by walking.

Our stay here was very enjoyable. The locatio was perfect with a really nice wine bar just on the corner of the hotel. Although the windows where not double gazzed the overall area in which the hotel is situated is quite. The safe where very helpful and althought they didnt think so, they're level of english was very good!!! Right on the doorstep is the Pasteur Metro Line which gives you access to anywhere in Paris!!! i will definitely be back!

The price is reasonable for its room. Btw,the hotel is near the metro station, just 1 mins walk. Moreover, there are two metro ways cross the station,so it's easy to get anywhere. Staff are nice and very helpful. It's a good choice for backpackers.

I stayed here with a friend over New Year's and was reasonably satisfied with the hotel but certainly not overwhelmed. The rooms were clearly showing their age but it seemed clean. Paint was peeling in many places but it did not smell particularly old. Size was about what we expected for a Parisian hotel - pretty small but not terribly so. There is very little soundproofing as well - you can easily hear your neighbors and from the third story, we could hear music from a nearby restaurant. We didn't have much interaction with the staff except picking up and leaving our key for the day but all were friendly and fluent in English. One quirk we did notice was that housekeeping always left our window open and we returned to a relatively cold room. Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels given. The location is very convenient. The Pasteur metro station is literally right outside the hotel and Gare Montparnasse train/metro station is within a 10 min walk. Gare Montparnasse is not on the RER line to the airport, however. The best way to get to the hotel is to take the RER from CDG to Denfert-Rochereau and then connect from there to Pasteur station. That is quite a few stairs to deal with but it's manageable.

The hotel location was very good, really a few steps from the Pasteur metro station,we were a group of friends spending three nights in Paris, the rooms were small but clean (bathroom also clean but the walls really needed some fresh painting!), you cannot expect to have large rooms in a city like Paris if you do not pay really very much; the reception staff was not very professional and did not understand at our arrival that the booking made via web on one name but for 2 double rooms meant that we were four people and also when we left they had problems with the payment as there was a new employee; anyway generally was all ok, breakfast also seemed to be expensive (7.50)compared to Italy but we took a look at the prices outside and we realized it was the average cost for breakfast in Paris;the surroundings also were nice, full of bars and restaurants of any kind and even in the evening the whole area between Pasteur and Montparnasse station was very quiet

Small but clean room. 7,50 Euro for breakfast is too much and the room is very small. Very good access to the metro. Most of employees had problems with english but they are very patient. Price of room on venere didn´t match with the one of the hotel (65 euro venere - 95 euro hotel), but we finally got the double room for 65 euro. Overall hotel is ok for a few nights (we stayed a weekend), but for a longer time we would at least take a 3 stars hotel.

This is a great little hotel. We were looking for something a little bit out of the center of the hustle and bustle and we found it. It is walking distance (although a good 15-20minutes) to the Effiel Tour, and you can see the sparkling at night. The metro is right outside your doorstep and there is great shopping just a few blocks away. The people knew exactly where to tell you to go to get things and the best places to experience Paris. The cleaning staff was very friendly and did a wonderful job. Overall, I feel our stay was wonderful. There's also many cheap places close by to get meals. Would definately recommend it to a friend.

This hotel was quite a disappointment. I had booked it with confidence because of the numerous reviews that I had seen online. The site said that this hotel had airconditioning. There was nothing of the sort, not even a fan. The first night I spent there was hot and stuffy, and I could hear allmy neigbours talking at their balconies. I did not sleep well at all. I checked out after the first night's stay.

Good Location; very close to a Metro station and restaurants. The room was small but more than adequate. The elevator, on the other hand, could be a problem for some. It is small and you still face a half flight of stairs. It was not an issue for me, and I would be quite happy to stay here again.

Rooms were small. There were no common areas to lounge in. The walls were thin so you could hear just about everything happening right above you and right next to you.

Hotel was clean & pleasant and bed linen & towels were changed alternate days. Unfortunately the noise level from the very busy road was constantly high until about 3-4 in the morning. Also in August with no air conditioning,it was very hot at night. On the whole though, it WAS a fair choice. Our only big complaint is that a special offer of "free breakfast" was advertised on the internet booking form. When we came to pay our bill for 5 people at the end of our 4 night stay, they included the price of all breakfasts taken - a lot of extra money spent unecessarily and an unexpected dent in our holiday spending money! We were NOT pleased.

When we checked into the hotel we were told to pay a higher price than was confirmed by internet but luckily they corected it promptly. The location was very good. There was a mistake and we were given a room with 3 beds when we had booked for 2 so we had no space to walk about the room. It was very tight. The room and bathroom were very adequate and clean. The front staff were fairly friendly, more so the man than the woman. She could be much friendlier and welcoming. Generally speaking it was a good experience.

I made reservation for 2 nights, and they claimed that I did not have any for the next day and I had to leave. So I stayed in my single room for the first night and thought I had no choice but leaving next morning. Then they said I can stay in my single room, but this time I was supposed to have a twin room as a friend was joining. So we stayed in a single use room with a twin price. The employees were not very kind and welcoming. But location is good.

I've travelled extensively in Europe and although well aware that the rooms are usually quite small, this one even shocked me. The room picture for the hotel shown on the website was not even our hotel and then room was so tiny that you had to lift your suitcase over the beds to move it about the room. When I stayed in Paris before, that was a palace compared to this place. The only positive I can say was that there was a Metro stop just across the street which made sightseeing easier and more convenient. Other than that, I would not recommend this hotel.

A fine tourist-class hotel. We were looking for a bargain price and got one. We had three people in a double room, so it was cozy, but not uncomfortable. Very friendly receptionist. Conveniently located across the street from the Metro (Pasteur), ATM, and corner cafe. Would probably stay here again in the cooler months of the year (no AC, so I imagine the rooms would get stuffy in the heat of the summer).

I booked a triple (2 adults and 1 child) - The best thing in thi hotel is location - It's next to metro station (2 metro lines in this stop) and really close to main street Boulevard Montparnasse where you can find Lafayette and a lot of restaurants - The only negative point is the room which was not spacious enough for 3 persons!!Public areas (such as brakfast room) are quite small. It's worth staying in Avia because of the price - excellent position and clieanliness.

Very close to Metro, just cross the road and a few walks, you can reach this hotel. If you just only wanna sleep in hotel and going out early, coming back lately, I will recommend this hotel. Not bad :)

The hotel is less than 25 yards from the Pasteur stop on the Metro. The location lets you access the Eiffel Tower directly, and easy access to Notre Dame, the Louvre, and Monmarte. The reception was very cordial. Everything was as stated on the web site, although I thought breakfast was included with the stay. It is an extra 7 Euro, and consists of yogurt, pastries, juice, and coffee (no espresso machine!) While it is convenient to have breakfast in the hotel, and is popular with the primarily business travellers who stay there, I think you could do better out in the neighborhood. The room was small, but very clean. The bathroom is of adequate size, and also very clean. The hotel is on a busy street, but with the window closed, the noise is not bad. This could be a problem in the summertime. There is an internet shop across the street, and several restaurants nearby. There is also a small grocery next door that sells fresh fruit.

Very small but clean room. Bathroom good size, spotless, good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Excellent location near Montparnasse shopping area and Air France coach. Just across from Pasteur metro. Staff friendly. Halls a little dreary but room decor bright and cheerful. My second stay.

As stated in the web pages, this hotel is situated opposite Pasteur Metro station, offering a cheap, clean and reliable way of getting to all parts of Paris city centre. It is in an excellent situation with friendly bars, cafes and restaurants on the doorstep. Although we had booked a triple room, we were shown to a double room on arrival. After 2 nights using 2 double rooms for the family, we were moved to a triple room. Prospective clients need to be aware that the lift only goes to the 5th floor, with rooms on the 6th and 7th floors being reached up a steep and winding staircase. With no porter service available we had to lug our suitcases up and down these narrow flights of stairs, twice because of the change of rooms. Breakfast delivered to the room at no extra cost was a delightful bonus.

The staff were quite friendly and welcoming and service was quite good. The triple room was very cramped because of the extra bed in a doube room. Rooms may be more comfortable for double or twin share. But the location was great! You can see the Eiffel tower from outside the hotel and it is practically just outside a subway in a quiet area but within easy distance of most major sites.

Generally good although slightly more expensive than quoted due to rate change after weekend. Also due to double booking by hotel the two twin rooms requested became two double rooms which caused some inconvenience.

It´s a fine accomodation, nice people, nice price. It´s easy to get to downtown, at nights it´s a little bit noisy because of traffic in the street, but that´s not a specific problem of this hotel. We felt comfortable. I can recommend this location!

Many thanks to Anne from Belgium, very nice and competent. Not the same the man of the night turn (who didn't let us enter a room, saying that there wasn't one ready for us, while, instead, there was, he only didnt't want to change the one We booked with an other one at 7,30 in the morning...) anyway, very good in complex. bye Anne!

The room was small, but well accessoriated. The metro was really in front of hotel, and this was a very good thing. The bad thing was the heat, in the room there was not air conditioning, and not even a fan, and during the night it was too hot to sleep. The bed was hot too, and this was very unconfortable. Breakfast was very good and free. The bathroom was large and new and clean. The receptionist very kind.

Right beside Metro; cafes & pasteleries/supermarkets close by. Breakfast room is tiny, no room to swing a croissant, but otherwise fine. Clean, friendly, good price.

Got a very warm welcome by Vincenzzo (hope I got his name right) cos I reached the hotel at about 11pm. Overall, the hotel is acceptable (I had a triple sharing room) and really accessible due to the proximity to the main train station. Need to take note is the price quoted on the web pages, esp in the summer when you really need the air-conditioning. To prevent any misunderstandings, which I had experienced during my stay, print out the room rates quoted on the web pages. The best is to have an email confirming that the room rates include air conditioning. I had a hard time clarifying with the receptionist and calling up WRH.
