What is shown on photos on any website doesn't represent the real state of the hotel. The rooms are in very poor condition. As well hotel is not in a very secure area of Paris especially at late night you need to be careful. Overall average hotel for budget travellers.

Rooms clean, but poorly. Very small, door between a very small bathroom and room could not been opened totally. Room was smelling of old and cold tobacco (smell hanging in carpets and curtains); carpet not too nice to look at (spots). Bed too short, mattress old and uses (my wife and me automatically met in the middle, nice for lovers, but awful for elderly backs...). Staff nice and competent, depending on who was sitting behind the reception-desk. WiFi did not work for my iPad, staff tried to help, but could not. WiFi is only for free for 2 days! Naborhood absolutely multi-ethnical/african. Hotel close to Barbesse, little Africa in Paris. Close to metro (2-3 min); close to La Butte (Sacré Coeur, you can walk/climb to the church, about 15-20 min). Nice restaurants nearby at the backside of Montmartre. Don´t expect too much, but ok for a weekend if you are out exploring Paris the whole day.

Nice staff even though it seemed like there was a new person in the reception every day. The room was ok but the pressure of the hot water was extremely low, sometimes none at all. Sheets seemed new when we arrived but were not changed during our 5 night stay. Bed was relatively hard and quite good. Carpet in the room was quite old.

Didn't feel safe walking to the hotel at night in the area especially 2 attractive females!! We stayed on the 5th floor and the rooms were horrible we slept on top of the covers because we were afraid to crawl under them.. Would not recommend!! also I suggest you not wear anything touristy or with CANADA written on it and try to ask someone for help they snub you off and pretend they don't understand you unless you speak fluent french they don't even attempt to help Very very Rude!! Maybe if I was in a 5 star hotel or with my boyfriend/husband my Paris travel experience may have been different...

The price for the hotel was very affordable related to other available accommodation. The rooms are very small, but on par for Paris standards. The fact that there is no lift is one downside, but it is only a real problem when you arrive. The room is very clean - no bad 'surprises' there! The hotel is very accessible and close to metro stations and also in a neighbourhood close to the Sacre Coeur and Moulin Rouge. If you wonder off a block or 2, you might find yourself in a neighbourhood where you may not feel safe alone at night, but the immediate vicinity is quite good. The hotel personnel was extremely friendly and helpful and competent. There is internet access and a vending machine in the lobby, the breakfast was great and there is a luggage service to store your luggage before or after check-in. I would really reccommend this hotel for budget hunters. I also found the shuttle service to the airport affordable and helpful.

it was the first time we stayed at Hotel Amarys Simart. We stayed 3 days in Paris. Rooms were so small and not clean enough. Also the hotel around was not so safe after midnight.

The staff were extremely polite and professional and you get what you pay for with this hotel, "it does what it says on the can". I can imagine the elderly or less mobile residents having problems with the flights of stairs but that it not something easily remedied, it didn't spoil our stay and would readily return.

Good for a short stay in Paris with the Metro nearby. Service very friendly, beds and bathing-room clean. Only the breakfast could be ameliorated. Would return again

We were very dissapointed with our room. We paid extra to have a larger room and it was tiny - I had to stand on the bed in order for my partner to squeeze past. The hall way had a funny smell too. The night staff on reception were very helpful, but the morning staff seemed quite grumpy. For the price I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Excellent location, very near to the metro. 2 metro stops with 1 line change from Porte Maillot metro stop (the nearest metro to where the shuttle bus from Beauvais airport stops). For further info regarding metro, just ask info counter at the metro, a printed page with instructions on how to get to the hotel will be given. Safe surroundings. Front staff spoke good English. Bathroom is rather small and yes, there is no elevator so big luggage will be a problem. No free internet access and breakfast is not provided. On the plus side, there is a large room where we could store our luggage before checking in and after checking out.

The room was 75 euro a night so we did not expect much. We arrived early, they held our bags, and we returned around 3 PM to check in. The first room offered was not clean, and was way to tight a fit for 2 large men. The second room offered was much cleaner, but even smaller. The third room, number 31, was fine.. somewhat updated with enough room to move around. Through this whole ordeal, the staff was understanding and extremely plesant. They had asked that we pay in advance, and when I questioned this policy as highly unusual, they said it was fine to pay when we checked out. Staff was helpful and friendly during our entire stay. We had no complaints after we finally found a room that worked for us. We were lucky we checked in early and had a choice of rooms. For the remainder of our stay, the hotel was fully occupied. The hotel is the Barbes area.. multi-ethnic and multi-cultural. We enjoyed it very much... a very different side of Paris, near Montmarte, with easy subway access.

The only big problem with the hotel is the bathroom and the shower. Every morning I have to turn on the hot water and wait for at least 15 minute for any hot water to come through the pipe. The beds were clean and comfy and located at a very convenient location, only 5 min walk from the metro. There are supermarkets nearby. Internet cafe just down the street. 20 min walk from Sacre Coeur.
