Was with husband for a week in Paris. The hotel was easy to find and metro and rer very near so we could visit paris easily. What bothered me was the flushing of toilets of nearby rooms in the middle of the night. You can hear them as if they are in your room. Couldn't sleep well even though i was very tired after a whole day out.

Hôtel très calme, personnel sympathique. La literie est décevante pour un trois étoiles ; le sèche-cheveux ne fonctionnait pas, et l'aération dans la salle de bains tenait avec du scotch.

We have a nice stay, very quiet zone, but close to the metro, so well connected.

Nice hotel, but I requested a triple with an additional cot for my 12 yr old. Instead we got a double with a cot - had to "borrow" the cushions off the couch in the lobby so she had something to sleep on. Next day they brought a cot, which broke during the night. Room was VERY tight with 2 cots. Regular double bed was lumpy; our room was on the front so a bit of traffic noise. If it's just a room to sleep in, then you can't beat the price for Paris. Also, the charged 15 euros for a simple breakfast of bread and cheese in plastic. Not worth it.

The Allegro is located in a nice quiet area of Paris just far enough away from everything to get a good night's sleep, but with great transit access to everything. Just a short walk away are both the M1 and M6 metro lines which take you to all the big Paris attractions (Louvre, Eiffel Tour, Trocadero, etc etc) so getting around from here is a snap. The rooms are great, exactly as pictured on the web site. Probably one of the best hotel bathrooms I've ever had too - everything was relatively new and in great condition. My only complaint would be the lack of good internet service. The hotel has very expensive (10 Euro/day) wireless which doesn't work all that well. There are no wired internet connections available. Most other hotels in this price range have either free internet service or a much more reasonable rate.

The car park is very small and only has a very narrow lift: I damaged our small Peugeot 206 upon exiting!

Allegro was a little out of the way but the hotel is spic and span and comfortable. The service was very friendly.

We paid 69 euros per night, for a 3 star hotel, in Paris, which is a very good deal. The room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. Staff was helpful. In the surrounding area there was nothing special though. I would recommend this hotel.

Breakfast for 13.- Euros per person and even for every child is too expensive. The quality of the breakfast is moderate. Good parking in the hotel's property, reasonable price.

A few problems we met : 1. The air conditioning on the 5th floor room did not work at all. It's OK when we changed to a 4th floor room. 2. The several staff we met at different time at the reception were friendly, but not all knowledgeable. For example, one of them gave wrong information on how their internet service worked. Looked like some of them were temp staff. 3. On our 4th and last night of stay, I could not open the numerical padlock on my luggage - someone had tried to open it or break it. When we reported the case to the reception staff the next morning, her only response was looking a bit embarassed, and nothing more - no reporting, no surprise, ...... 4. When we paid the bill, there was surprisingly an extra item called "taxes de sejour". It's not much, just 1 Euro per person per night; but better make it clear as the booking price was supposed to be tax inclusive. Apart from these, the room is fine.

We stayed two nights here, did not use all hotel's facilities, just needed place to sleep. Safe area, not far from city center, competent staff. Bathroom had minor problem with shower, hook was broken. Subway is 400 meters away from the hotel.

The hotel was pritty much as I expected it to be; it had a room with a bed and somewhere where I could get washed. It was where I expected it to be too since I had the address I'd looked it up on a map and found that it was where you said it would be. The room had a T.V. and a fixed hair dryer plenty of hot warter and some heating/air con controls fresh towels every day etc... I will say that the walls were quite thin as we could usually hear other residents moving about. The staff were very friendly and I was pleased with the welcome we received after a tiring journey. I thought the price was relatively expensive but I don't think you could get much cheaper in Paris, I may have misinterpreted the booking form but I was ubnder the impression that the breakfast was included in the price, it wasn't and they were looking for a ludicrous 13 euros each per day for croissants toast and tea/coffee, I'd reccomend getting supplies from local shops it's much cheaper and just as nice. We had a fantastic view on at least two nights of the local tramps raiding the dustbins from the supermarket opposite but the location was pleasent enough I didn't feel threatened when walking the streets, it was close to the metro and restaraunts close by were exceedingly good value i.e. very good food at affordable prices. There was a local market nearby held on Saturday (I think)which is worth a look purely to see the variety of different fresh produce avilable. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would reccomend this hotel for anyone seeking a budget break in a travel lodge style accomadation.

Excellent overall stay. Some facilities are a bit expensive: breakfast is 13 euros, but there are some coffee bars in the area so you can easily save money; private parking is 17 euros/night, but it is very useful for car travellers, as there are only paying car parks in the area. Just pay attention if you require an invoice, the document we have obtained hasn't been wholly filled, so we couldn't use it.

Great clean and comfortable hotel. Well located for various metro lines (though a bit hard to find from website directions - would be better to give directions from Picpus metro). Staff very helpful with maps and advice for our first stay in Paris. Would definitely choose this property again.

The room and TV were small but completely adaquate and the bathroom was great. The underground parking was a must for the neighborhood. The neighborhood isn't bad, but I wouldn't want to leave my car on the street. The parking cost E17 per day, which was not mentioned in the website. The price was only E85 per night, which was an amazing rate for Paris on a weekend. Their are two metro stops within a very short walk and they take you anywhere you want to go for just E1.40. The front desk people were fine, but they have trouble explaining directions to you in English. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because there is a fabulous bakery down the street. Also of note is the adorable children's shop that is exactly next door to the hotel. I would definently return to this hotel.

This is our second stay here this year and once again, we were very happy with our room. The only minor issues were that initially the room had a distinct animal smell (cat I think) but an air freshener fixed that, and the air-conditioning struggled to cope with the summer heat. Otherwise, excellent value for money.

Wonderful property -- I would definitely return! The proprietor was welcoming, friendly, and multilingual. The apartment was spacious and immaculate, the location was central and convenient to the train station, and we loved the veranda overlooking the Tuscan hills at sunset! Also, underground parking was safe and convenient. Great bargain!! The only drawback was that, with being so close to the train station, the trains were noisy during the night (it was hot, and we slept with the windows open)... 3 of us didn't mind, but my husband had trouble sleeping -- but easily resolved by sleeping with the windows closed. I would heartily recommend this property!

The hotel double charged me for my stay and then they refused to give me my money back and said "we don't speak english, we don't understand." I got someone on the phone who he can understand and the guy was very rude and said "we are very busy here, call back in 15 mins." I recommend using a temporary credit card number that has a value of 1 Euro. That way, they don't ripe you off!

We stayed at the Allegro for 9 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable - and quite spacious. The main reason I chose this hotel was because they provide WiFi internet access in all rooms and I needed that for my laptop computer for business. Most other hotels with this facility are at least double the price. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and most spoke English quite well. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to a major Metro/RER station - Nation, and it has a mini-supermarket which is open until 9pm right across the road. There are also various coffee shops and restaurants nearby. I would stay here again without question.
