Friendly and helpful desk managers. Computer and printer access in the lobby area for a small fee. We really enjoyed the breakfast offered on the premises - the breakfast room, attendant, and food were charming. Very pleasant to start the day there and then set out to enjoy the beauties of Paris. Our room was immaculate and blessedly quiet for sleeping.

Good location near the Madeleine metro station - you don't spend tons of time on the metro when you're this close in to the city center. There's a school just down the street, so noise from the children may prevent you from sleeping in on a weekday, but other than that it's on a reasonably quiet street. I booked a single and got a room w/ a double bed and more space than I was expecting - good value for Paris. Breakfast price seemed high, so I just got a croissant and tea at one of a number of neighborhood bars (on Sundays the only one open at breakfast time is right near the metro station). Cojean just down the street has good healthy food for a picnic or to take on the train. Friendly and helpful staff.

I had very high expectation of this hotel, but it was not excellent. It was far from the metro station than I imagined. I was told that I could use travellers check. But when I tried to pay with TC, I was told that no change was given.. This does not mean that you can use TC.

This was my 2nd time to Paris, I only stayed for 1 night before transferring to another more expensive hotel that was paid by my company. Everything about the hotel was wonderful my only small concerns was there was only 1 outlet in my room that was loose and I was unable to charge my phone which was frustrating because they could not resolve during my stay. But otherwise the staff was very helpful and the hotel was very nice. Also the street was rather empty at night, which sometimes makes me nervous as a single woman but there really was no real issue just my own paranoia

Alison is nice hotel, little bit old fashioned, but you have everything you need, even more than in very expensive hotels like Sofitel. Staff is good, breakfast very nice, location is very good - near to famous places Louvre, Concorde etc. When you have in mind location of this hotel, relationship between price and what hotel offers is excellent.

Great experience! The staff was very welcoming and they offered us extra assistance for our baby daughter (extra cot, kettle for the formula milk) at no extra cost. We got a room on the 5th floor facing the internal patio, so it was really quiet as well. Room is average sized for Paris hotels, will probably appear small to American travelers. Very central location, everything within walking distance.

Absolutely brilliant place to base a stay in Paris - within easy walking distance of The Louvre,Musee d'Orsay,Musee de l'Orangerie,Arc du Triomphe,Seine etc.As others have said there is noise from the road if you are in rooms at the front of the hotel but we were up and out early so was never a problem. The best Patisserie, the Laduree, is just on the main road, the Rue Royale, a few mins walk from the hotel. We bought fantastic croissants and tarts for breakfast and ate them on route or in the Jardin Des Tuileries. The front of desk staff were very pleasant and helpful - we were heading out to eat in the rain one evening and they stopped us and gave us an umbrella - all in all a great place for the price and location.

I do not like, that the employees are standing in front of the hotel, when they need a cigaret. That is the entrance and welcoming area for the guests and it is not 'friendly' and nice to be met with the awfull smell of smoke. I know that smoking is not allowed inside, but there must be another place, than the welcoming area of the hotel. It reduces the overall impression of a hotel and it makes you feel a little bit negative, when you arrive at the hotel and you are met with the bad smell and an employee having a 'fix'. Sad but true. Kind regards, Mrs. Klitholm

I stayed in your hotel the 9th of march, and from the 12th to the 15th of March. From the 12th stays, the room was excellent and cleanning of the room also good, but for the 9th of march, I could not understand " Is the room cleaned up or not?" The room was not clean, especialy, the drawers was so dirty with much of dust. Also, there were so strong smell in the room. But from staying of 12th of March, I was very satisfied with the room and much of your staff's service. From the automn of 1980 to the winter of 1981, I stayed maybe more than 10 times in your hotel. So, I stayed in your hotel this time very wistfully. Thanks a lot!!

Top choice at very reasonable price in the center of Paris - good rooms, service, welcome and premises (not something that you can say of a lot of hotels in central Paris). But beware, the rooms facing the street are door-to-door with a school. So, if you plan to stay during the day in the room working.... ask for a room facing the inner court...

Value for money was good for a hotel in Paris. However the rooms overlooking the street can be very noisy, we had to have the windows open as it was was very warm and we were woken at 7am by dustmen and roadsweepers! - I recommend you opt for a courtyard room if available. The hotel is sited only 5 mins on foot from La Place de la Concorde, l'avenue des Champs-Elysees and the Seine so in a good position for exploring Paris via the Batobus.

Good nice little hotel in a good location. I stayed here with my girlfriend in mid July. Rooms doesn't have air conditioning but they have a small cooling machine. This is quite normal in Paris. Keeping the room cool during the night is still tricky as you need to open the window (you'll get noise early morning) or you need to keep this noisy cooling machine on. The lady on the front desk was very nice and helpful with proper English skills. The other two people that we met on the front desk we're not that good in English. Overall we were very pleased about the hotel and its prize/quality/location ratio is excellent.

On being told that we had been upgraded to a better room, at the reception, we expected a nice big spacious room, but we should have known better, this is Paris, where real estate is really expensive. I travelled to Paris as leisure with my boyfriend and it was really fantastic. We chose Alison Hotel because of the lacation, but it was not so close to the places we thought it would be. However it was easy to go to all good places because of parisian subway. At night we didn´t have good restaurants in the neighborhood, maybe because we went there during the summer vacation. Well, the hotel properties are very good, we stayed in a good room and the receptionists were very friendly. We didn´t have the breakfast in the hotel because of the price, we prefer go to coffe shops. Paris is a wonderfull and romantic city, but seemed to me that parisian do not like tourists. Despite this I really enjoyed my trip.

We went as a family and had two rooms at the end of a corridor with a single door to access them. We were able to lock this at night and allow the kids leave their door open and they were able to come to us if any problem. Very hard to find this in Paris or anywhere. Set up felt like a mini apartment. Location was excellent for visiting - not much around immediately but we were fine with this as we prefered the quiet at night (not a sound in the rooms). We were very impressed with the hotel. We also recommend the breakfast - dining room is great, very parisian.

Hotel Allison was a terrific hotel for the price and the location. Being at the heart of Paris is key to an enjoyable time. The metro station was a little far maybe a 7-10 min walk, but not too bad. The location was across from a school and down a small side street making it quiet. The facility offered FREE wi-fi, making it a rarity in Europe. There was a small supermarket across the street that was great for picking up small snacks and drinks for a very resonable price. I would definately stay at Hotel Allison again when I make it back to Paris.

Hotel Alison was well located also as its only 10 minutes to go to Place de la Concorde, Champs-Elysées and its a really quiet surrounding, but: for a single traveller this area is boring - in the evening there are really few places to go out in the neighbourhood. The next time I would prefere a hotel in a more crowded place. Another disadvantage: my room had no air conditioning. In summer I would not stay in this hotel. And the last point: For EUR 113,- (without breakfast) the room was really to small. I guess you also pay the situation of the hotel but this price was too much for this offer!

We had an excellent stay. The venere web site listed the room as a family 4 pax when it's actually 2 rooms(1 with queen bed and 1 with 2 single beds). Since we had our 12yr and 10yr old kids with us having a separate rm was great. If we had been a family with a 4 and 6 yr old the separate room would not have worked. Breakfast was €8 and that is a good price considering other hotels in the area charge close to €20. Breakfast was offered in the room or downstairs. The location is a short walk from a metro and in the center of the most popular place to see. Overall we had a great time and would certainly return.

Overall presentation of the hotel is acceptable however value for money is poor with respect to the size of the room. For a 3* hotel I did expect to find a mini bar or fridge which there was not.

Excellent small hotel, very centrally situated, comfortable beds and friendly staff - what more could one want for 2 days in Paris?

Our stay at Alison was positive. It is in an excellent location, within walking distance to most of Paris' major attractions. My biggest complaint is the price compared to the actual accomodation. However, this is largely due to the unreasonableness of the Paris hotel market in general.
