tiny rooms, but I've heard that you have to expect that in Paris for this price. And the standard of the room otherwise was good, nice and modern! Very close to the Metro, and if you accept 20min walking, you can get to a lot of the sights on foot. Also a very nice dining/drinking area only 10 minute walk away!

First time staying @ this hotel and it turned out great! < 5 min walk from Liege Metro, also 10 min walking distance from Galeries Layfatte. Many restaurants around the vicinity and a supermarket just 3 units away. Reception was welcoming and helpful in arranging airport transfer on 1st night! Only con was that there was renovations going on 6th floor (alot of knocking after 10am)

Nice little hotel. Good value for the money - Location is very good - walking distance to many main attractions. The rooms were very small, but I would still recommend the hotel. The staff were great and very informative and welcoming. The metro system in Paris is amazing and there is a metro stop right around the corner. Great places to eat all around. Close to Opera, shopping, moulin rouge, monmarte. Good value for the money.

I came to the hotel with some suspicion about what to find there regarding the various comments about it & other hotels in the neighborhood I have read; indeed, the hotel is NICE, clean, and very good located: close to XVII-Pigale on one hand, close to Blvd.Haussmann/big shops on the other hand and mostly not so far even by walking to Louvre & Champs-Elysees; The staff is very friendly, professional, always helpful when needed, rooms are cleaned regularly, and the building is good looking also. The only (minor) point to mention is that is a bit small size for the corridors, elevator or rooms but still enjoyable, and for the value of price/quality & location, this is definitively worth to go there! I can easily recommned this hotel to anyone..enjoy..

Our stay at the Alexandrine was overall OK. The staff is very competent, rooms were clean, location is OK, but the room and especially the bath were to small. For those who are looking for good value, are of average physical size, plan to tour the sights rather then be in the hotel and in good health this hotel will work for a 3 night stay.

Bathroom was lacking 1. a stopper in the bathtub 2. A curtain when you take a shower 3. A power point in the bathroom for an electric razor (e.g. with the hair dryer). Room service should look at these missing details...Management should train the personal for reporting these details.

The hotel was on a nice street and we were checked in easily. The room itself was small (as expected in Paris) but had everything that you would need, including a small fridge. The shower was particularly small though..hardly enough room to even bend down without putting your head out through the shower curtain. The shower head was also not attached to the wall properly (if you put it in the holder it sprayed water outwards basically over the top of your head!)and eventually it slipped out of the holder anyway. It was a case of holding the shower....which was a bit of a pain. There were big 'balcony' doors in our room (no balcony though) which were nice to open up, although the houses accross the street could look into our room. There wasnt aircon so that was the only way to cool down but unfortunatly it was a pretty busy street so took a while to get to sleep at night. With the windows closed you couldnt hear much but it was too warm for that.

Clean, quiet hotel in an excellent location. Couple of drawbacks -- slow elevator (not a big deal, but I ended up taking the stairs down each time instead of waiting for the elevator). My biggest gripe -- no Internet in rooms. They have wireless internet in the lobby (and it works in some of the rooms, even though the hotel staff did not know this). It is a functional hotel -- no great shakes, but you can't expect much more for the low prices. The connectivity to subway is excellent and the staff is very helpful with directions and other information. All in all, a good stay.

This place is great for travelers that only need a bed to sleep in. There is no air conditioning and the fan in the room was very small and the back was coming off. The bathroom was tiny and the shower is a very small closet. The room overlooked Rue de Moscow, but we heard every scooter, car, and person walking by even though we were on the 3rd floor. The hotel was very close to the train station and public transportation and the staff was okay on the friendliness scale. I wouldn't hang out at this hotel, but it was a place to sleep and clean up and that's all we really wanted.

Our first stay here and all quite satisfactory so long as you don't mind a bathroom in a cupboard. I know they are small in Paris but this was really squished. Very close to Liege subway station (line 13). Place de Clichy is nearby where a few restaurants and small shops are located. Fifteen minutes walk to Lafayette and Opera. Overall good neighborhood. Relatively quiet street. Rooms are okay. Minibar and a sizeable wardrobe present. LCD TV receiving about ten stations, only one in English (CNN). Small bathroom. No wireless internet connection. This hotel was in a decent area, but the rooms were very tiny. You can not even sit straight on the toilet as the wall is right there. You have to sit sideways. The shower was too small too and you could not even turn around. The bed was very hard, but the area was fairly quiet. Good location. No internet access in the hotel. The price was too much for the quality of the room.

We had a BAD experience in balladins. The room was a typical 2 star (although the shower is tiny) but thats besides the point. At 10am on May 23, we left the room and put the "do not disturb" sign on the door. I left my cell phone to charge on a table and the charger was plugged to the outlet on the wall by the TV. We walked one block, bought some items in a store and went back in 10 minutes to leave the items behind. We found that our bed was covered, there were fresh towels and my cellphone was missing, dettached from the charger. I looked all over and could not find it. My husband ran down to reception and the receptionist said he was the only one inside and was in and out of our room in 2 minutes. I asked if we could check the garbage bins in the back as it might have been "accidentally" thrown out (it didn't make sense but I was desperate because i was expecting a call from my office). We looked through the trash and couldn't find it. Then he told me to wait in the lobby while he went down to check the basement where, he said, there were other trash bags. Then he came up holding my cellphone. He said my cellphone was inside one of the trash bags and went on to explain that he and the cleaning lady were in and out of the room, which was strange as he first said it was just him. First of all, we put the do not disturb sign, which they obviously do not follow and secondly, it was just too bizarre that my cellphone, on the table, would be dettached from it's charger and fall into the trash, which was on the floor. It may have been an accident or an error, but I found everything too suspicious. Yes, everyone knows you shouldn't leave "valuables" in the room, but a cellphone and for only 10 minutes??? If I don't feel my things our safe, i personally wouldn't feel safe sleeping in that kind of hotel. I would never stay in Alexandrine Balladins and will not recommend it to anyone.

Pulito.
